Re-usable protective sheath for portable electronic devices
10779624 · 2020-09-22 ·

A multi-component sheath to protect portable electronics devices. The device provides coarse adjustment in height-direction or y-direction. A region enabling connection between the upper piece and lower piece allowing significant extension of the mechanism along the longest axis of the portable electronic device. An additional fine adjustment in both height-direction or y-direction and width or y-direction is also possible. Minor expansion of the pieces in the longitudinal and transverse directions of the portable electronic device, due to intrinsic elongation and stretch characteristics of the sheath material (e.g. polymer or rubber). The device provides minimalist coverage of the portable electronic device on the back and sides. The present invention provides protection mostly in the corners. The present invention results in a minimal increase in overall thickness of the portable electronic device, less than 2 mm. The device allows full access to all input/output connections and buttons of the device.

Luggage article frame structure

A luggage article 100 is provided. The luggage article 100 may include a reinforcing board 202, and a closed loop frame 206. The reinforcing board 206 may include a central portion 220 and first and second side portions 224, 226 on opposing lateral sides of the central portion 220. The central portion may extend over a rear side 120 of the luggage article 100. The first and second side portions 224, 226 may extend over at least part of the opposing left 126 and right 128 sides of the luggage case 100. The closed loop frame 206 may match and aligned with the distal edge 250 of the first side portion 224 or the second side portion 226 of the reinforcing board 220. The top section 226 of the closed loop frame may also curve around the top edges (142, 144) of the luggage case 100 to extend at least partially over the top side 122 to match and align with the inwardly curved side edge 282 of the top portion 228.

Tool storage devices

Tool storage devices. A tool storage device may include a handle assembly including a support arm connected between a body and a handle portion and having a substantially rectangular cross section oriented with first walls extending transverse to the axis having a greater width than second walls extending parallel to the axis. A width of the handle portion may be at least about 50% of a width of the body. The body may include a frame assembly formed of a rigid material, a wall formed of a flexible material and at least partially defining the storage compartment with an open top, and a cover formed of a rigid material connected to the frame assembly to selectively close the open top. A wheel well portion receives each wheel and may cover the width of the wheel and a portion of the circumference of the wheel. A radial clearance between the wheel and a lower end of the wheel well may be no more than about 0.5 inches.
