THERMAL PROTECTION OF LITHIUM ION BATTERIES
A method for extinguishing a flame and terminating thermal runaway in a device powered by a lithium ion battery. The disclosure also provides a system for extinguishing fires generated by lithium ion batteries exhibiting thermal runaway.
SPRINKLER AND SPRINKLER SYSTEM INCLUDING SAME
A sprinkler includes a sprinkler body having a fluid inlet; a seal configured to prevent fluid flow through the sprinkler body when the seal is in a first position; a bulb configured to retain the seal in the first position, the bulb configured to break at a temperature and allow the seal to move to a second position allowing fluid flow through the sprinkler body; and an identification device located within the bulb.

FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM FOR LITHIUM BATTERY ENERGY STORAGE UNIT BASED ON STAGEWISE WARNING AND MULTIPLE SPRAYING
A fire extinguishing system for a lithium battery energy storage unit based on stagewise warning and multiple spraying includes a power management system, a warning control system connected to the power management system and a fire extinguishing device connected to the warning control system. The fire extinguishing device is externally connected to a temperature-sensing fire detection tube, a large-flow release pipeline and a local release pipeline. The warning control system is externally connected to a local data collection module and a lithium battery energy storage pack. The fire extinguishing system of this application is designed to perform cyclical detection according to fire signals, in which a starting signal can be repeatedly sent to achieve multiple starting, so as to suppress a lithium battery fire for a long time and solve the problem of re-ignition.

Horizontal Sidewall Window Sprinklers, Systems and Methods of Fire Protection
Horizontal window fire protection sprinklers, systems and methods are provided. The sprinklers include a frame and a fluid deflection member including a window confronting surface having a planar portion and a concave portion. The sprinkler defines a maximum operating pressure of at least 100 psi. per sprinkler for adjacent sprinklers without cold soldering.
Concealable Window Sprinkler
A concealable sprinkler head includes a frame having a body mountable to a fire suppression liquid source, a pair of frame arms and a pair of corresponding drop pins slidably engaged with a respective frame arm. A thermal trigger is supported within the sprinkler frame. A fluid deflector is secured to the drop pins and includes a generally horizontal surface. The drop pins extend substantially orthogonally from the horizontal surface. An inclined surface of the fluid deflector extends angularly upwardly from the horizontal surface. A concealing cup surrounds the frame arms. A cover plate is attached to the concealing cup, covering the distal end thereof, wherein the drop pins and the deflector are positioned within the concealing cup. The cover plate is removable from the concealing cup permitting the drop pins and the deflector to axially slide out of the concealing cup into an operational position.
FLEXIBLE DRY SPRINKLER
A dry fire protection sprinkler has an inlet seal assembly to seal an inlet orifice. A spring seal compresses in response to a load. An inlet release unit releases the inlet seal assembly. A flexible tube has an inlet end connected to the inlet release unit. A flexible linkage extends through the flexible tube, and has an inlet end connected to the inlet release. An outlet biasing portion is connected to an outlet end of the tube and an outlet end of the linkage, which displaces upon activation of the sprinkler. A sprinkler body is connected to the outlet biasing portion, with an outlet seal assembly to seal its outlet orifice. When ambient reaches a predetermined temperature, the outlet seal assembly releases from the outlet orifice, and the outlet biasing portion displaces the linkage, causing the inlet of the linkage to operate the inlet release unit, releasing the inlet seal.
