The transmission unit includes a lever. The lever is pivotally connected to a connecting member provided on the support beam. Two sides of the lever are an effort arm and a resisting arm with the connecting member as a fulcrum. The two sides of the lever are connected to two ends of the support beam through tension springs, respectively. The tread unit includes a pair of pedals. The pedals are connected to two ends of the lever. The transmission unit further includes a pair of swing rods. First ends of the swing rods are pivotally connected to the connecting member. Second ends of the swing rods are pivotally connected to lower ends of the pedals, respectively.

Apparatus for training muscles
10052513 · 2018-08-21 · ·

An apparatus (1) for exercising muscles comprises a power arm (2), which is pivotable about a pivot shaft (5), which is disposed on a holding element (6). The first articulation point (7) at which a compression spring element (9) is linked to the power arm (2) is adjustable along the power arm (2). To achieve this, one end region (8) of the compression spring element (9) is provided with a first joint surface (14), and a series of second joint surfaces (16), which are designed complementary to the first joint surface (14), is disposed across an adjustment zone (10) along the power arm (2). The first joint surface (14) is operatively connectible to one of the second joint surfaces (16), and the power arm (2) is pressed via a further spring element (18) toward the one end region (8) of the compression spring element (9) such that the two operatively connected joint surfaces are kept in contact with each other. Resulting thereby is a simple possibility of adjustment of the force to be applied to the power arm.

Masticatory muscle exercise device
10046199 · 2018-08-14 · ·

A masticatory muscle exercise device has an upper mouthpiece, a lower mouthpiece and at least one elastic member elastically connecting the upper and lower mouthpieces. A counter is cooperative with the upper and lower mouthpieces so as to sense a number of times that the upper and lower mouthpieces move toward or away from each other. The counter has a magnet mounted on one of the upper and lower mouthpieces and a Hall sensor on the other of the upper and lower mouthpieces.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY DEVICE

A device and method for alleviating extremity pain and improving range of motion using a mobile mirror with functional activity attachments. Secured symmetrical functional objects for manipulation are positioned either along side, in front, or on the mirror itself. The individual looks at the reflection of the non-affected extremity manipulating the functional attachment while both extremities perform the activity. The occupational therapy device is simple to use and can relocate to either tabletop or floor. The large mirror accommodates longer arms and legs for improved visual field and can be rotated for either vertical or horizontal orientation.

SYSTEMS FOR DYNAMIC RESISTANCE TRAINING

Systems and methods for dynamic resistance training are provided that include the use of a dynamic force module. The dynamic force module includes an actuator and controller adapted to control the actuator according to a force profile that specifies the relationship between an operational parameter of the actuator and a measured parameter associated with a user performing an exercise. The dynamic force module is also capable of communicating with a broader network system to facilitate storing and distribution of force profiles and user profile information. The network system further includes features for, among other things, generating and managing force profiles, uploading multimedia content, and tracking user progress.

VARIABLE RESISTANCE DEVICE

A variable resistance device includes first and second body elements and a force-generating system disposed therebetween. The force-generating system includes a resiliently deflectable beam extending relative to the first body element and toward the second body element, an interface element, and a cam projecting relative to the second body element and toward the first body element. The cam presents a cam surface. The interface element shifts along the cam surface upon application of a driving force to at least one of the body elements relative to the other and consequent shifting of the body elements relative to each other, resulting in corresponding bending of the beam and consequent generation of a resistance force by the beam. The cam surface presents a profile that varies along a length thereof, such that the resistance force generated by the beam varies irregularly as the interface element moves along the cam surface.

COMPACT BALANCE BOARDS AND SYSTEM USING SAME
20180193693 · 2018-07-12 ·

A compact balance board including a first board having a plate shape, a second board spaced a predetermined distance from and parallel to the first board, a shaft coupled to a bottom portion of the first board, a pivot support connecting the shaft and the second board so as to allow three-dimensional pivotal motions in which the first board or the second board is shaken and rotated, at least one elastic member positioned between the first board and the second board so as to provide elasticity for keeping the first board and the second board in parallel to each other, and a sliding member installed on one end portion or both end portions of the elastic member so as to allow the elastic member to be slidingly rotated when the first board or the second board is rotated.

EXERCISER
