Apparatus for providing suspension and resistance training

An apparatus for providing suspension and resistance training is disclosed. In one embodiment, a main strap includes a fastener for engaging an anchor at an upper end and a connection point that accepts a load at a lower end. A retraction unit, which provides non-load redundancy to the main strap, includes a coupling member securing the retraction unit to the fastener. The main strap is threaded through the ring end fitting. In an extended configuration, the retractable cable is fully extended, and the length of the main strap is fully extended with the main strap having a non-load transferring relationship to the retraction unit in the extended configuration. In an unloaded retracted configuration, the retractable cable is at least partially retracted into the retraction unit and the length of the main strap is less than fully extended.

Stress-Reducing Garment Top

A stress-reducing garment top is an apparatus that provides a concealed, stress-reducing tool within a garment. The apparatus includes a long-sleeved top, a first resistance band, and a second resistance band. The long-sleeved top includes a torso-covering portion, a first sleeve, and a second sleeve. The torso-covering portion covers the torso of a user. The first sleeve and the second sleeve cover the left arm and the right arm of the user, respectively. The first resistance band serves as the stress-reducing tool for the left hand of the user, and the second resistance band serves as the stress-reducing tool for the right hand of the user. The first resistance band and the second resistance band each provide resistance against while extending the fingers of the user. The first resistance band and the second resistance band are positioned directly around each hand in order to be readily accessible.

This application discloses a portable exercise device for flexibility and strengthening. In some embodiments, the device is comprised of one elastic band of surgical tubing or like material and one non-elastic band, with two pairs of looped handles tied to each end of the elastic band. These looped handles can attach to a user's limb without any need for grasping. The non-elastic end of the device can be affixed to an anchor point. The exercise device offers light but adjustable resistance via a resistance modulator, allowing the user to engage in a full range of standing and seated exercises with forces comparable to swimming. In addition, two instances of the device can be combined to engage both the user's hands and feet simultaneously.

METHODS AND KITS FOR PORTABLE, LOW IMPACT RESISTANCE EXERCISING
20240001188 · 2024-01-04 ·

The present invention discloses improved, low-cost systems, kits and methods for resistance exercising using stretchable bands that easily attach to and detach from the exerciser's footwear. The kits and methods disclosed enable an exerciser to easily train different muscle groups through repetitive, long-chain, paths of motion, all in a single session, while minimizing risk of injury both from band snapback and in the midst of an exercise set. One category of rotational exercises disclosed by the present invention comprises the exerciser rotating through constantly changing angles of resistance.

CONNECTING STRAPS FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES

An ankle-strengthening device includes a stretchable band including a first portion and a second portion. A tubular portion has a proximal end and distal end. The tubular portion is fixed between the first portion of the stretchable band and the second portion of the stretchable band. The proximal end of the tubular portion has at an opening configured to receive a toe of a user. A fastener portion has a first attachment point and a second attachment point, such that, when fixed on the lower leg of the user, the first attachment point of the fastener is configured to connect with the first portion of the stretchable band, and the second attachment point of the fastener portion is configured to connect with the second portion of the stretchable band, thereby creating resistance to the user through dorsiflexion and/or pronation upon application of the device by the user.

Resistance-band exercise monitoring device and associated methods
10857425 · 2020-12-08 ·

A resistance-band exercise monitoring device includes a first force sensor that senses a first force applied to a first resistance band, a second force sensor that senses a second force applied to a second resistance band, a single electronics module with a single transceiver for wirelessly communicating with a remote device, and a flexible strap physically coupling with the first and second resistance bands. The flexible strap has conductive pathways electrically coupling the force sensors to the single electronics module. The single electronics module communicates values indicative of the first and second forces to the remote device via the single transceiver. The flexible strap does not stretch and protects the conductive pathways from excessive stress. The resistance-band exercise monitoring device may be configured in multiple ways to perform a wide variety of exercises.
