The resistance element may include a resistance band, a weight support that holds a weight plate, a set of weight plates, or other type of resistance element. The cable system may extend from the pulley through an opening located one of the frame members that form the frame.

A lightweight, mobile treadmill attachment designed for effective weight reduction, anti-gravity suspension is disclosed. The treadmill attachment provides a system in which an elastic cord is suspended within a frame that attaches to the arms of a treadmill. The elastic cord imparts an equalized lifting force throughout the suspension system by a rope camming system to a user to provide an effective weight loss and anti-gravity functionality.

Stoppers on the cable ends engage a bearing member to restrain movement of at least the first cable end when the second cable end is pulled relative to the pulley wheel. Releasable connector means connect the cable ends to the second part to allow a user to choose a magnitude of the resistance force opposing the applied force.

A carrier element (81) slideable on a guide bar (83) guides the foot engageable element (77). Handgrips (86) are connected by steel cables (87) around pulleys (88,89,90,91) to the weight carrying bar (84) for facilitating exercising of arm, shoulder, chest and back muscles.
