Systems and methods of treating proprioceptive dysfunction and vestibular disorders
11432764 · 2022-09-06 ·

The systems, methods, apparatuses, and articles disclosed herein provide a new approach to treatment symptoms, such as proprioceptive dysfunction and vestibular disorders, which may be caused by certain types of human ailments. According to the present disclosure, a wearable article may include one or more limb sections and a resilient member may be provided along a length of each of the one or more limb sections and configured to generate a resistance force. Adjustments to the resistance force provided by the resilient member(s) may be adjusted using cord locks. As a user wearing the wearable article moves, the resistance force is applied to the user's limbs. Strain gauges may be provided to measure the resistance force(s), which enables verification that the resilient members are sized and configured to provide an appropriate amount of resistance force to a user and may improve programs and regimens designed to treat such ailments.

Device to produce assisted, active and resisted motion of a joint or extremity
11413499 · 2022-08-16 ·

A device for producing assisted motion, active motion, and resisted motion of the lower extremity. The device includes an upper leg support with two pull handles and a transverse axis of rotation for elevating and lowering the user's upper leg and a foot plate with a transverse axis of rotation and rollers on linear motion track(s) allowing the lower extremity to be secured into the device while maximizing range of motion of the knee joint. The upper leg support and the foot plate are both attached to the baseboard, but are not connected to each other and can move independently of each other, allowing the device to be used in multiple positions and to fit a wide range of lower extremity sizes without the need for the device to be adjusted or custom fit to the user's lower extremity.

SPRING EXERCISE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF EXERCISING
20220249895 · 2022-08-11 ·

A spring exercise system and method of exercising that allows a user to perform a full body, low-impact style of exercise. The system utilizes a non-fixed extension spring that stretches and generates resistance when pulling and pressing forces are applied. The extension spring or springs are stretchable between multiple types of interchangeable grasp handles which may include any combination of a resilient loop handle with or without double “D” rings, a single rigid handle, and/or a resilient double loop handle. The spring may have a swiveling link or other mechanism/structure that joins the free ends of the spring to the grasp handles allowing a 360° rotation. The grasp handles are used with combinations of hands and feet, arms and legs to generate an extension of resistance that stretches, strengthens and tones muscles, enhances flexibility, core strength, joint stability, and muscle balance.

Wearable Resistance Apparatus
20220296957 · 2022-09-22 ·

A wearable resistance apparatus includes a waist band and a pair of leg resistance assemblies. Each leg resistance assembly includes a leg anchor, a foot anchor and at least one resistance band. The resistance bands preferably attach between a waist area and a foot area of a wearer and each extend down a rear of the wearer's legs. When the resistance bands are moved into a resistant position, tension is created in lower body muscles of the wearer, such as gluteal muscles, hamstring muscles and/or calf muscles. The wearable resistance apparatus provides exercise to the wearer during everyday activities and also provides enhanced exercise when performing activities such as walking, cycling, jogging and running.

TRAINING APPARATUS FOR IMPROVING CONTROL ABILITY OF LOWER LIMB

The training apparatus according to an embodiment includes: a support unit; a guide unit fixed on the support unit and including rails which extend in a front-rear direction; a sliding unit which is movable in the front-rear direction along the rails of the guide unit; a pillar-shaped rotation axis fixed on the support unit; a footrest unit which supports a user's foot; a lower support formed below the footrest unit; and a connection rotating unit formed below the footrest unit and connected to the rotation axis of the support unit through insertion to allow the footrest unit to rotate around the rotation axis. A plurality of springs installed inward from two sidewalls of the sliding unit is configured to come into contact with the lower support of the footrest unit and apply pressure from two sides when the footrest unit rotates.

YOGA BAND AND METHOD OF USING SAID YOGA BAND TO PERFORM A YOGA POSE
20220314056 · 2022-10-06 ·

A yoga band is configured with a retainer band loop for donning around a hand, wrist or foot and both an inner pose strap and an outer pose strap that may be elastic to enable stretching and holding of poses. The inner pose strap and an outer pose enable different levels or extensions for performing yoga poses, or a progressive stretching from the outer pose strap to the inner pose strap, for example. A yogi may extend the outer pose strap initially, as it may extend further than the inner pose strap, and therefore may be easier to reach and hold the yoga pose. As the yogi progresses, they may extend the inner pose strap which is shorter in length, thereby achieving a greater stretch. The inner and outer pose straps are coupled with a retainer strap component of the retainer band loop to provide a secure support.

Exercise tool

This invention includes: a base having a contact part that is in contact with a use surface; a movable part magnetically and detachably held above the base; a three-dimensionally movable support unit configured to support the movable part that is held by the base, in such a manner as to allow the movable part to move three-dimensionally and flexibly; and an attachment part via which the movable part is detachably attachable to a hand or a foot in a direct or indirect manner.

Portable devices for exercising muscles in the ankle, foot, and/or leg, and related methods

A method of exercising includes positioning a foot of a user onto a pedal of an exercise device. The pedal is pivotably connected to a pair of supports forming a triangular base and has a neutral position relative to a pivot axis of the device. The method includes applying a first force to the pedal to rotate the pedal about the pivot axis in a first direction, toward a first support. The method includes resisting movement of the pedal toward the first support with a resistance mechanism of the device. The method includes applying a second force to the pedal to rotate the pedal about the pivot axis in a second direction, opposite the first direction, toward a second support and away from the first support. The method includes resisting movement of the pedal toward the second support with the resistance mechanism of the device.

TRAINING DEVICE FOR SOCCER AND THE LIKE
20220176188 · 2022-06-09 · ·

In certain embodiments, a training device for soccer (European-style football) has an upper portion configured to be wrapped around an athlete's lower leg and a lower portion configured to be secured onto a shoe worn on the athlete's foot below the lower leg, wherein an outer surface of at least one of the upper and lower portions has a first material configured to mate with a second material on an outer surface of a ball, such that, when the athlete attempts to kick the ball with the foot, the ball will tend to stick to the training device due to mating of the first and second materials (e.g., forming a hook-and-loop assembly). By wearing the training device on the athlete's dominant leg, the athlete learns to kick with their non-dominant leg, thereby becoming a more well-rounded soccer player.
