A latch assembly for a closure member is provided. The latch assembly includes a housing and a ratchet pivotally coupled to the housing for selectively retaining a striker to secure the closure member. A cinch lever assembly is coupled to the housing and includes a cinch lever for engaging the ratchet. The cinch lever cinches the striker in the ratchet in response to the cinch lever being actuated by a cable coupled to the cinch lever assembly to move the closure panel from a partially closed position to a fully closed position. A cinch subassembly is operatively coupled to the cinch lever assembly with the cable coupled to the cinch lever assembly. The cinch subassembly is configured to freely move between a plurality of positions relative to the housing to accommodate a plurality of orientations of the cable coupled to the cinch lever assembly.

Vehicle door latch device

In a vehicle door latch device, a latch engages with a striker of a vehicle body and a ratchet engages with the latch, so that a vehicle door is closed, and an inside operating lever and a childproof lock mechanism are disposed between a cover and a casing. To connect the childproof lock mechanism to the casing, the inside operating lever is held in an assembling position and the childproof lock mechanism is held in its locking state or in its unlocking state. The cover has a covering portion over a broader portion of a hole in the cover.

CLOSURE AND LATCHING MECHANISMS

A closing and latching mechanism for a closure in which further rotation of an input shaft in a latching direction results in engagement of a release cam with a release cam follower and movement of a release slider which moves a pawl into a position in which a claw is free to move from a latched position to an unlatched position and the claw then moves towards the unlatched position under the action of a biasing spring.

System, method, and apparatus for clamping

A protective mechanism for use when gripping a medical device to a rack is provided. A related system and method are also provided. The protective mechanism includes a connector, an actuation member configured to have a first end portion and a second end portion. The cover member is configured to interact with the actuation member so as to pivot to uncover the connector when the actuation member pivots in a first direction and to pivot to cover the connector when the actuation member pivots in a second direction.

LATCH ACTUATOR AND METHOD OF ACTUATING A LATCH

A latch actuator comprises a motor, a speed reduction gearing coupled to an output shaft of the motor, a spindle, and a motion conversion mechanism. The spindle has a threaded portion in engagement with the speed reduction gearing. The spindle is supported to be rotatable about an axis. The threaded portion is rotationally fixed relative to the spindle. The motion conversion mechanism is configured to cause a displacement of the spindle along the axis when the spindle rotates.

LATCHES FOR GATES AND DOORS

A latch has a displaceable latching element in a housing for engagement with a separate striker arm to be latched behind an engagement shoulder of the latching element. The housing mounts a cylinder lock to receive a key from the front. A rotor is mounted on the rear of cylinder lock and rotation of the key rotation the rotor to drive a locking element to engage and lock the latching element. The rotor may also be axial displaceable against spring biasing responsive to a rear unit pushing element whereby unlocking from a rear cylinder lock may rotate the rotor to unlock and pushing causes the latching element to be displaced against its biasing to release the striker arm. Embodiments include a gravity biased and manually opened latch and a spring biased self-locking embodiment.

MOTOR VEHICLE LOCK COMPRISING INTEGRATED SERVO CLOSING FUNCTION

The invention relates to a motor-vehicle lock, in particular a motor-vehicle door lock. In order to provide a reliable assembly and a reliable operation for said lock, the drive housing 6 of the servo closing function 2 is designed to function simultaneously as a Bowden cable bearing 8 and as a receiving chamber or shaft 14 for the micro-switch 15. The drive housing 6 has a robust, compact design and allows the micro-switch 15 to be sited securely in the drive housing 6 always in the same place. This also remains the case as the securing cover 10 is fixed in the drive housing 6 by means of a clip 11.

A door locking device includes a latch mechanism with which a striker is engageable or from which the striker is disengageable. A first link operates the latch mechanism in an interlocking manner with an inner door handle so as to release the striker. A second link is movable between an unlocked position where the second link is operated in an interlocking manner with the first link and a locked position where the second link is not operated in an interlocking manner with the first link and operates the latch mechanism in an interlocking manner with an outer handle by way of the first link in the unlocked position so as to release the striker. A locking lever changes over the second link between the unlocked position and the locked position.
