This invention relates to an ergonomic strap for weight lifting and fitness exercises, comprising a first strap for encircling a wrist, a second soft strap, facing the wrist, attached to the first strap, a third strap incorporating a Velcro fabric, attached externally to the first strap and a fourth strap secured to the first and third straps under an inclination of 45 degrees; such an inclination precludes the portion of the fourth strap, facing a palm, during wrapping around a weight lifting bar, to form several consecutive loops, so that a succeeding loop does not overlap a preceding loop, thereby a helical wrapping is resulting; i.e. the inclination of the fourth strap at 45 degrees, prevents a part of the fourth strap that is closest to the wrist, from overlapping itself.

LOW FRICTION REHABILITATION BOARD WITH AN INTEGRAL BAND RETAINING FEATURE AND METHODS OF REHABILITATION

A low friction rehabilitation board having an integral band retaining feature is described. The rehabilitation board may have a coefficient of static friction of no more than about 0.5 and in some embodiments no more than about 0.06. The rehabilitation board has a plurality of band retaining feature configured along one or both ends and may be an integral band retaining features being formed in the board. Additionally, the rehabilitation may include one or more band retaining features on one or both sides of the board. The unique configuration of the band retaining features enables rehabilitation method heretofore not possible with a single board. Resistance bands may be retained in the band retaining features and coupled to a users limb, such as a foot or ankle, to resist motion, such as sliding or extending the foot along the low friction surface of the rehabilitation board.

Wearable Resistance Training Device

The described embodiments relate to systems, methods, and apparatuses for providing an adjustable amount of tension to various portions of a body of a user. The tension can be exhibited by cables that extend from the body mounted device. The cables can be routed through a pulley assembly located with cables guides of the body mounted device. A user can adjust the tension of the cables using knobs located at the ends of the cable guides. The cables can terminate at bands, which can be attached to appendages of the user during training. When the user is wearing the body mounted device, a mounting plate of the body mounted device can conform to the shoulders of the user, and a separate plate of the body mounted device can be depressed against a back side of the user.

A grip assist with a wristband and a grip section affixed to the wristband. The wristband is configured as an anchor to wrap around a user's wrist. The grip section preferably includes a first layer extending from the wristband, toward a weight lifter's curled finger tips, then continuing along the inside of the fingers to a termination near the heel of the user's palm. Consequently, a held bar is trapped inside an encircling grip section. Additional layer(s) may also extend from the wristband generally in parallel with the first layer. The grip section can include at least one strategically placed interference element to augment grip endurance or security. An interference element may be sandwiched between the first and a second layer, or carried on either side of the first layer. Elements may be provided to enhance engaging the bar to prevent slippage, or to provide padding to the user's hands.
