Resistance training system
A physical training system configured to be worn on a human body includes an article of footwear configured to receive a foot. A medial connection member is disposed on the medial side of the article of footwear and a lateral connection member is disposed on the lateral side of the article of footwear opposite the first connection member. The dorsal side of the article of footwear extends between the medial connection member and the lateral connection member. The physical training system further includes a torso member configured to engage the torso of the wearer. At least one elastic resistance band extends between the lateral connection member and the torso member and between the medial connection member and the torso member.
Handheld weighted exercising apparatus
An exercise apparatus has a housing for substantially enclosing a hand of a user, an opening within the housing for receiving a hand of the user, a handle within the housing, and vents in the housing, which is weighted and balanced whereby in use the user grips the handle to perform resistance and aerobic exercises using the exercise apparatus.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR REHABILITATION AND TRAINING
A method of rehabilitation using an actuator type that includes a movement mechanism capable of applying a force that interacts with a motion of a patient's limb in a volume of at least 30 cm in diameter, in at least three degrees of freedom of motion of the actuator and capable of preventing substantial motion in any point in any direction in said volume, in which a same movement mechanism is used at two different places of rehabilitation.
BASKETBALL SHOT TRAINING DEVICE
A training device for training a player to shoot a basketball. The device includes a plate member configured to engage at least a portion of a hand and wrist of a non-shooting hand of the player, at least one attachment member connected to the plate member and configured to secure the plate member to the non-shooting hand of the player, and a link strap connected at a first end to the plate member and having an aperture through which a wrist of a shooting hand of the player can be aligned. The non-shooting hand and the shooting hand are linked together such that the non-shooting hand is restricted from rotation relative to the shooting hand when the non-shooting hand and the shooting hand are placed in spaced relation on an associated basketball.
Golf Club Attachment
A golf club attachment. The golf club attachment includes a housing having an open upper end, an open lower end, and at least one sidewall extending therebetween to define an interior volume. The interior volume can receive a handle of a golf club therein. A grip is affixed to the housing, wherein the grip extends perpendicularly away from the housing at the open lower end. A strap is affixed to the housing at the open upper end, wherein the strap can removably secure the housing to an arm of a user.
Physical therapy devices and system for rehabilitation of limbs
A physical therapy system includes a rehabilitation device with a limb supporting plate configured to support a limb of a patient, a fastener securing the limb to a first surface of the plate, and a plurality of sliding or rolling elements attached to a second surface of the plate. The rolling/sliding elements may facilitate movement of the plate without directional bias. A deployment surface includes a substantially flat surface configured so the limb rehabilitation device may roll or slide over the flat surface, first and second raised edges attached the flat surface, and a measuring scale to facilitate measurement of the range of motion of the limb rehabilitation device over the deployment surface. The first raised edge and the second raised edge are configured to confine motion of the limb rehabilitation device over the deployment surface.
Shoulder End Range of Motion Improving Device
Disclosed is an shoulder end range of motion improving device is comprising a linkage, the linkage including, a first link member, a second link member supported on the first link member, the second link member configured for being secured to an arm of a patient and being rotatable about a second link axis for rotating the arm of the patient about a shoulder joint of the patient through an arm range of motion, the second link axis being displaceable into a selectable fixed position and maintaining the fixed position during rotation of the second link member, an actuator for rotating the second link member about the second link axis, and a controller controlling the actuator for selectively rotating the second link member about the second link axis through the arm range of motion.
Functional Fitness Garment
A fitness garment that includes any of the following structures. An exercise vest having a plurality of vest attachments, each of the plurality of vest attachments being configured to couple to an external force structure. A wrist strap having a plurality of wrist strap attachments, each of the plurality of wrist strap attachments being configured to couple to the external force structure. Exercise pants having a plurality of pants attachments, each of the plurality of pants attachments being configured to receive the external force structure. An ankle strap having a plurality of ankle strap attachments, each of the plurality of ankle strap attachments being configured to couple to the external force structure. In addition, the external force structure may be used to couple any of the structures to each other.
HYPERTHERMIC CONDITIONING CAPSULE
A self-contained, hyperthermic conditioning unit and selectively controllable environment for exercising. The unit comprises a base portion having a bed therein and a removable cover connected to the base portion to enclose a personal compartment within the unit. One or more heating elements provide heat to the personal compartment and one more pieces of physical exercise equipment are provided within the personal compartment.
Exercise Device
An exercise device 10 comprising a weighted baton 20, an arm supporting portion 40, a handle portion 45 and an arm band connector 100. The baton 20 has a distal weighted end 25 and a proximal support end 30. The arm supporting portion 40 is disposed at the support end 30 and has securing portion 43. The handle portion 45 is adjacent to the arm supporting portion 40. The arm band connector 100 is adapted for fixed attachment to an arm 4 of a user 3 of the exercise device 10. The arm supporting portion 40 is of sufficient longitudinal extent to provide support to the forearm 4 and adjacent wrist 7 of the user 3 to resist angular movement therebetween. The securing portion 43 is disposed for connection to the arm band connector 100. The handle portion 45 is disposed for gripping by the fingers 5 and thumb 6 of the user 3.
