Leg curl exercise machine including a moving support for performing prone leg curl exercises
An exercise machine for performing prone leg curl exercises, including a moving support platform or frame that allows a user to perform prone leg curl exercises without excessively arching his or her lower back.
Moving Exercise Apparatus
A Moving Exercise Apparatus is provided which enables the user to perform exercise routines, mainly for the torso area, while in a relatively laying position. The apparatus includes a frame structure member, an intermediate support member, a user support member, and a track guide member. The intermediate support member is couple to the frame structure member such that it moves upon the frame structure member along a generally linear path of motion. The user support member is coupled to the intermediate support member such that it moves upon the intermediate support member also along a generally linear path of motion, but which is generally perpendicular to the movement of the intermediate support member upon the frame structure member. A track guide member is mounted upon the frame structure member at a location below the user support member. The user moves the user support member with some portion of their body, such as their feet. The user support member operatively engages the track guide member and follows a predetermined path of motion as designated by the track guide member. Different track guide members may be utilized to provide different paths of motion. The apparatus may also include a handle member and leg support member mounted to the frame structure member so that the user may more easily move the user support member while in the laying position and exercise the arm and leg muscles.
Exercise device and method
An exercise device for use by a user on a support surface comprises a support assembly, an extendable neck, and one or more resilient first resistance assemblies. The support assembly supports the user relative to the support surface. The support assembly includes a support body that is engaged by the user, and a support base that supports the support body, the support base resting on the support surface. The extendable neck is movably coupled to the support assembly. More particularly, the extendable neck is selectively movable relative to the support assembly between a retracted position and an extended position. The one or more resilient first resistance assemblies are secured to the extendable neck.
Exercise apparatus
An exercise apparatus for the exercise of a user's gluteal muscles though a supported seated squat downward from an upper starting position and an upward return movement. The apparatus includes at least one foot ramp having at least one foot support surface to support substantially all of the user's feet in a position that is elevated off the ground during the exercise. The positioning of the user with the foot ramps in combination with the rest of the exercise apparatus provides numerous benefits to the squat exercise.
EXERCISE MACHINE WITH LIFTING ARM
An exercise machine has a main frame and a user support movably mounted relative to the main frame for movement between a start position and an end position during an exercise. At least one user engagement device is movably mounted relative to the main frame for engagement and actuation by a user during an exercise, and a connecting linkage translates movement of the user engagement device to movement of the user support. A lifting arm is movably mounted relative to the main frame and associated with at least one of the user support, user engagement device, and connecting linkage so as to move during an exercise. A load associated with the lifting arm provides exercise resistance.
Exercise equipment and methods of using the same
A physical exercise apparatus and method of using the same targets the balanced development of a user's deltoid, pectoralis or upper pectoralis muscles by providing for a user to perform a target, upper body, weight lifting exercise with a resistance load, such as with a barbell, while the user simultaneously performs a distraction exercise of cycling with the legs. The distraction exercise inhibits the muscles of the lower body from assisting the upper body with the target exercise. The apparatus includes a seat or bench for a user to perform the weight lifting and cycling in one of a seated position, a supine position, and a partially supine position. The apparatus also includes a single or multi-level support for holding the resistance load adjacent the seat or bench, and movable foot pedals that are adjustable to a selected location in a two-dimensional plane at which the user performs cycling.
MULTI-MODE SQUAT RACK
A multi-mode squat rack includes a frame, a support unit and a handle unit. The frame includes two struts pivotally connected to each other, two stepping boards connected to one of the struts, and a mount pivotally connected to the first strut. The support unit includes a seat post pivotally connected to the first strut, a seat supported on the seat post, a pair of ears supported on a side of the seat post near the first strut, at least one fin supported on an opposite side of the seat post, and an elastic unit arranged between the mount and the fin. The handle unit includes a stem pivotally connected to the first strut, a connection rod formed with an end pivotally connected to the stem and another end pivotally connected to the first strut or the pair of ears, and a handle connected to the stem.
Exercising apparatus
An apparatus is disclosed for enabling an operator to exercise comprising a frame having a body, a base and a top. A load is positioned on the frame for providing a resistive force. A press is positioned on the frame for displacement by the operator. A linkage joins the load with the press for displacing the load upon displacement of the press by the operator. An arm extends between a support end and a user end. A support pivot secures the support end of the arm to the top of the frame for pivoting the arm about the frame. A user interlace inputs and outputs data. A user pivot securing the user interface to the user end of the arm for pivoting the user interface about the arm.
Exercise bench with enhancements that allow the obese, elderly, and physically challenged to participate in exercises performed on a conventional exercise bench
An exercise bench that allows elderly, obese, and physically challenged individuals to participate in the same exercise regimens as younger, more agile athletes is provided. The exercise bench of the current invention comprises cushioned side supports that stabilize the individual during reclining and during exercise. Due to the nature of the exercises performed in the prone position, an exercise bench is generally narrow in order to allow freedom of movement for the Individual's arms. The narrow bench can provide stability challenges for elderly and obese individuals which the side support cushions address by providing the required stability without interfering with the individual's range of arm motion for exercising. The present invention also includes mechanical means to assist the user in reclining to a prone position, and returning to an upright sitting position. Many individuals who want to use a conventional exercise bench are prohibited from doing so because they lack the abdominal strength to lie down slowly from a sitting position, and return to a sitting position after exercising without assistance. The exercise bench of the current invention overcomes these obstacles.
