UNIVERSAL FAUCET HANDLES
Handle assemblies for coupling to a shaft are provided. Each assembly includes a handle having an end wall with a fastener passage extending therethrough and a side wall extending from the end wall to an open end. In one embodiment, an adapter assembly includes a nut, a collet having a fastener portion carrying the nut and a compression portion receiving the shaft, and a clamp mounted on the compression portion and tightened around the compression portion to compress the collet to the shaft. A fastener extends through the fastener passage and into the nut. In another embodiment, the handle defines a conical pocket in communication with the fastener passage. An adapter in the pocket includes circumferentially spaced jaws having conical outer surfaces and inner surfaces engaging the shaft and hinged connectors extending circumferentially between adjacent jaws. A fastener extends through the fastener passage and into the shaft.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR RETAINING COMPONENTS IN A DOWNHOLE MOTOR
Methods and apparatus are disclosed for retaining components in a downhole motor in the event of a mechanical separation or failure of one or more components therein. As described, the retention mechanism does not require a threaded connection to components of the mud motor drivetrain. Downhole motor assemblies including the new catch mechanism also include a structural element to engage the catch assembly and the components to which it is attached in the event of a mechanical failure within the mud motor assembly.
Component mounting structure of vehicle
A component mounting structure of a vehicle comprises a frame assembly having a recess which is recessed in a predetermined direction; an intermediate section accommodated in the recess and removably fastened to the frame assembly; and a mounting member used to mount a first adjacent component adjacent to the frame assembly to the frame assembly, and the mounting member includes a connection element connected to the intermediate section in an inner space of the recess and a support element which is continuous with the connection element and supports the first adjacent component in a state in which the connection element is exposed outside through an opening of the recess.
QUICK-RELEASE ENGAGEMENT DEVICE
A quick-release engagement device for a female threaded member includes a tubular member and an actuating unit. The tubular member includes a contractible portion which has a male threaded segment and an actuated segment, and which is divided into a plurality of contractible sectors by a plurality of slits. The actuating unit is configured to press the actuated segment to permit the contractible sectors to deform synchronously from an expanded state, where the female threaded member is permitted to be quickly sleeved on or removed from the male threaded segment, to a contracted state, where the female threaded member is permitted to be in threaded engagement with the male threaded segment.
MOUNTING DEVICE
An apparatus is provided for connecting a rotary shaft to a rotatable machine element. The apparatus includes and inner sleeve for clamping onto the shaft and an outer sleeve for clamping onto the machine element. The inner and outer sleeves have cooperating tapered surfaces for tightening the apparatus. The cooperating tapered surfaces include striations. A nut connected with the inner and outer sleeves is rotatable to drive the inner sleeve relative to the outer sleeve in a first direction to tighten the inner sleeve onto the shaft and the outer sleeve onto the machine element. A method is also provided for forming a mounting device for connecting a machine element with a rotary shaft.
A CONNECTOR DEVICE
A connector (10) has a male part (12) connected to a female part (50), and each has a passageway which is coaxial with the other when the parts (12 and 50) are connected. A collet (24) surrounds the male part (12), is coupled thereto, and has an external screwthread which engages an internal screwthread on the female part (50), whereby relative rotation between those screwthreads in a given sense causes the female part (50) to sealingly engage the male part (12). The collet (24) has a slot (40) extending longitudinally with respect to the axis of the screwthreads to enable it to be splayed. A wedge (34) between the male part (12) and the collet (24) is displaceable longitudinally with respect to the axis of the screwthreads to splay the collet (24) and lock the male and female parts (12 and 50) together in a sealing engagement.
Method and apparatus for mounting a machine element onto a shaft
A mounting device for coaxially anchoring a machine element upon a rotary shaft is provided. The device fits between the interior bore of the machine element and the cylindrical surface of the shaft and is effective to position the element at any desired position longitudinally of the shaft and at any angular position circumferentially of the shaft. The device has inner and outer sleeves, the mating surfaces of which are similarly tapered so that relative axial displacement of the sleeves affects expansion and contraction of the interior bore and external surface of the combined elements. Rotation of a threaded nut at one end of the device effects the relative axial displacement of the inner and outer sleeves to afford expansion and contraction of the sleeves without excessively straining the material of the sleeves or the nut.
Keyless shaft assembly and keyless drive or idler wheel
First and second wheel body components each define a respective wheel body component longitudinal opening and are adapted to be placed in a connected position. A portion of the first wheel body component opening is defined by an inwardly facing and tapered first compression surface. When the first and second wheel body components are placed together in the connected position with a hollow sleeve received in a sleeve operating position within the first wheel body component, the two wheel body components and sleeve together form a shaft-mountable wheel that may be installed on an appropriately sized shaft.
Connection system
A connection system includes a shaft, a hollow shaft, a press ring, a first ring fitted onto the hollow shaft, a second ring, a bearing, and a housing part. The hollow shaft is rotatably mounted via the bearing received in the housing part and has an inner conical region. The first ring has a first outer conical region and a second outer conical region. The first outer conical region is positioned against the inner conical region of the hollow shaft and/or at least a partial region of the first outer conical region is arranged radially between the shaft and the hollow shaft. The second ring encloses and/or surrounds the first ring. The press ring touches both a partial region of the radially outer surface of the hollow shaft and at least one partial region of the radially outer surface of the second ring and/or is mounted onto these partial regions.
