Electric treadmill
An electric treadmill includes a motor and a motor driving circuit. The motor driving circuit is operable to control electric current flow from a positive electrode through the motor to a negative electrode to drive the motor. The motor driving circuit has a switch path connected between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The switch path has a resistance element and a switch element connected in series. When the motor driving circuit receives power, the switch element will be switched to a disconnected state, so that the resistance element is inactive. When the motor driving circuit does not receive power, the switch element will be switched to a connected state, so that the resistance element becomes a load between the positive electrode and the negative electrode for consuming power generated by the motor when the endless belt is driven to rotate by an external force.
TREADMILL WITH SAFETY MONITORING FUNCTION AND SAFETY MONITORING METHOD FOR TREADMILL
A treadmill with a safety monitoring function includes a running unit and a detection unit. The running unit includes a driving roller and a running belt for a runner to stand and run thereon. The detection unit includes a sensor for detecting whether the runner exists at a predefined height on the running belt. The detection unit can be moved to change the predefined height. A safety monitoring function for a treadmill includes adjusting a height of the sensor, detecting whether the runner exists at the predefined height above the running belt, and generating a first monitoring output. Through detecting whether the runner exists at the predefined height, it determines whether the driving roller can be driven by the driving unit to prevent accidental activation by a child. Since the detection unit can be moved to change the predefined height, it allows the use by runners of different body shapes.
TREADMILL WITH SAFETY MONITORING FUNCTION AND SAFETY MONITORING METHOD FOR TREADMIL
A treadmill with a safety warning function includes a miming unit, a driving unit, a detection unit and a control unit. The running unit includes a driving roller and a running belt provided for a runner to stand thereon. The detection unit includes a camera arranged at a predefined height range on top of the running belt for photographing images. The control unit determines a height of the runner based on the images photographed. The safety monitoring method for the treadmill includes obtaining an image above the running belt and determining whether the height of the runner is greater than the predefined height. By determining whether the height of the runner is greater than the predefined height, it is able to determine whether the driving roller can be driven by the driving unit to rotate, thereby preventing the hazard of accidental activation by a child of insufficient height.
TREADMILL WITH SAFETY WARNING FUNCTION
A treadmill with safety warning function adapted for a runner to stand and run on, and to detect an object located behind the treadmill. The treadmill includes a running member, a sensor unit, a warning unit and a control unit. The running member includes a pair of side rails and a running belt. The sensor unit includes two sensors which detect toward a rear of the treadmill. Signals of the control unit are connected to the driving unit, the sensor unit and the warning unit. The control unit can determine whether there is an object within a predetermined distance behind the running member based on the detected information of the sensors and further controls the warning unit to send out a first warning when an object is detected. Accordingly, the present invention can detect the object behind the treadmill and remind the runner to enhance user safety.
Systems and methods for reducing runaway resistance on an exercise device
A treadmill may include a deck, a first pulley incorporated into the deck, a second pulley incorporated into the deck, a tread belt surrounding the first pulley and the second pulley, a motor in mechanical communication with at least one of the first pulley and the second pulley to move the tread belt in a first direction, and a runaway mitigation mechanism in at least indirect mechanical communication with the motor. The runaway mitigation mechanism at least mitigates a motor runaway condition.
Control method for treadmill
A treadmill may include two separate left and right belts rotating around two sets of rollers, four legs having an adjustable height via air suspension to customize an inclination of the treadmill, a thermoelectric assembly, a fragrance assembly having a rotating fragrance cartridge to emit various smells toward a user of the treadmill, a display on which exercise programs are played, and an attachment module having a dispensing tray on which treats are dispensed. A handle of the treadmill may have a sensor to sense a height and front-rear position, and a belt divider provided between the left and right belts may have position or proximity sensors to sense a left-right position. An inclination of the treadmill may be automatically adjusted according to positions detected by the sensors, and the fragrance assembly, attachment module, and inclination may be automatically operated in accordance with an exercise program played on the display.

PRESSURE CHAMBER AND LIFT FOR DIFFERENTIAL AIR PRESSURE SYSTEM WITH MEDICAL DATA COLLECTION CAPABILITIES
A differential air pressure system has a pressure bag with windows and preferred folding configuration such that when the bag is folded no window is folded. The pressure bag is supported by a lift support that is proximal to a user control panel and adjacent to or nearly adjacent to the user who is coupled to the pressure bag. A treadmill base for use with differential air pressure equipment is provided. There are various improvements provided to adapt the operations of the DAP system via the use of separate pressure volume and non-pressure volume portions of the treadmill base. Various improvements to serviceability and repairs are provided by placement of components outside of the pressure volume portion or by providing one or more pressure volume access points.
ELLIPTICAL TRAINER WITH INCLINE ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM
A treadmill with an anti-entrapment function allows a user to stand on the treadmill and includes a running unit, a control unit, and a detection unit. The running unit includes two lateral bases, a driving roller, a driven roller, and a running belt. Each lateral base has a bottom end portion lower than the running belt. The detection unit includes a transmitter for emitting a light wave and a receiver for receiving the light wave. When accidently pulled into the gap between the running belt and one of the lateral bases, the user or a foreign object is moved by the running belt to the space between the transmitter and the receiver, thus keeping the receiver from receiving the light wave. The receiver sends out a warning signal in response, in order for the control unit to control the rotation speed of the driving roller accordingly to prevent continued entrapment.
