Movable Support For Exercise Equipment
An exercise arrangement includes a movable support that is movable in a fore-aft direction and simultaneously movable laterally, e.g. about a tilt axis. The support may be a platform movably mounted to a base. A roller and track arrangement may be provided between the platform and the base, to provide movement of the platform in the axial direction relative to the base as well as an axially neutral position of the platform relative to the base. The roller and track arrangement may be in the form of one or more curved roller and track engagement surfaces that extend in the axial direction and that provide a gravity bias of the platform toward the neutral position. The roller and track arrangement may provide tilting movement of the movable platform about the tilt axis. A tilt biasing arrangement biases the platform toward a neutral tilt position relative to the base.
Bicycle trainer
A bicycle trainer for mounting a bicycle includes a roller for engaging the rear wheel of the bicycle, and a motor controlled by an electrouros unit and providing driving and braking forces to the roller. The bicycle trainer is used in a method for comparative home training.
Limiting structure for a body-training device
A limiting structure for a body-training device includes a base, a positioning shaft, and a controlling member. The base comprises a slidable sleeve and the base is fixed on the foundation. The slidable sleeve has a shaft hole. The pivot holder of the body-training device has a positioning portion aiming at the shaft hole. The positioning shaft passes through the shaft hole. When a frame of the body-training device is standing, the positioning shaft can be slid to connect to the positioning portion so as to limit the pivot holder not to swing laterally. The controlling member is assembled on the frame and combined with the positioning shaft to control the positioning shaft to be slid to connect to the positioning portion or to be slid to detach from the positioning portion.
TILT-ENABLED BIKE WITH TILT-DISABLING MECHANISM
A stationary bike capable of leaning of tilting side to side during use is described. The stationary bike has a fixed frame portion and moving frame portion which is pivotally mounted on the fixed frame portion, at two spaced apart pivot locations, to allow the moving frame to pivot about a pivot axis defined by the two spaced apart pivot locations. The pivotal action of the bike may be resisted, such as by a damper. The tilt-enabled bike is equipped with a tilt disabling mechanism, e.g., a locking mechanism configured to selectively and operatively engage the moving and the fixed frame to disable the relative movement (i.e. the pivoting) of the moving frame.
TRAINING APPARATUS WITH PROGRESS INDICATOR AND UNIFIED BASE FOR DIFFERENT APPARATUS TYPES
A training apparatus having a progress indicator and unified base for different apparatus types, such as for an ergometer, speed bike, recumbent bike, home training bike, rowing apparatus, elliptical trainer, cross-trainer or treadmill. The fitness apparatus of every apparatus type is based on a structure which is unified in terms of technical design, according to which the frame or pedestal of the fitness apparatus has rollers which are arranged on the frame or pedestal such that a tilt-stable positioning of the frame with respect to the subsurface and a longitudinal displacement of the frame or of the frame together with the pedestal relative to the subsurface is enabled by means of an actuator depending on the measure of success of the user training.
Bicycle simulator
A bicycle simulator including a frame support portion for supporting a bicycle frame, the bicycle frame connecting front and rear wheels of the bicycle; and a base portion supporting the frame support portion. The frame support portion includes a first support bar having one end portion thereof fixed to the bicycle frame, a second support bar having one end portion thereof fixed to the base portion, and a connection portion for connecting the other end portion of the second support bar and the other end portion of the first support bar. The first support bar is connected to be rotatable about one axis with respect to the second support bar.
Exercise bike
An exercise bike comprising: a base; a frame having a head tube; and a steering stem mounted in the head tube, and operable to be rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the stem by a user, wherein a lower part of the frame is pivotally mounted to the base to allow rotation of the frame, relative to the base, about a substantially horizontal axis, wherein a first resilient mounting is provided between the frame and the base, and a second resilient mounting is provided between the steering stem and the base, the first and second resilient mountings, together, configured to bias the frame towards a substantially upright position relative to the base, the second resilient mounting further configured to urge the stem substantially into rotational alignment with a predetermined point on the base.
Lean based steering system for use with tilting cycle
An exercise equipment system with a movable support that is movable in a lateral direction, a sensor adapted to generate a lateral tilt signal, and a processor for generating a left or right turn output signal to a ride simulation in response to tilting of the exercise equipment during use. The exercise equipment may be a cycle mounted to a base. The processor may further filter out small magnitude sensor signals generated through left or right tilting that occurs during cycling, which are not indicative of a turn. The system may also include a display for visualizing a ride simulation of one or more network connected cycle avatars that are individually controlled with a lean-to-steer system.
