A high-strength galvanized steel sheet comprising a cold-rolled steel sheet, an intermetallic compound formed on the cold-rolled steel sheet, and a galvanizing layer formed on the intermetallic compound, the cold-rolled steel sheet having a specific composition and a microstructure having a martensite area ratio of 7% or more and less than 25% and a ferrite area ratio of 50% or more and which includes a base metal surface portion in which the amount of internal oxides per single side is 0.05 g/m.sup.2 or less.

A hot-pressed member includes a steel sheet, a Ni-diffusion region present in a surface layer of the steel sheet, and an intermetallic compound layer and a ZnO layer which are provided in order on the Ni-diffusion region, the intermetallic compound layer corresponding to a phase present in a phase equilibrium diagram of a ZnNi alloy, wherein a spontaneous immersion potential indicated in a 0.5 M NaCl aqueous air-saturated solution at 25 C.5 C. is 600 to 360 mV based on a standard hydrogen electrode.

An electric contact material for a connector includes a base material made of a metal material; an alloy layer that is formed on the base material and made of an alloy containing at least three elements including Sn and Cu as well as at least one metal selected from Zn, Co, Ni, and Pd; and a conductive coating layer formed on the surface of the alloy layer. The alloy layer contains an intermetallic compound obtained by replacing some of the Cu atoms in Cu.sub.6Sn.sub.5 with at least one metal selected from Zn, Co, Ni, and Pd. It is preferable that the content of at least one metal selected from Zn, Co, Ni, and Pd in the alloy layer is in a range of 1 to 50 atom % when the total content of the metal and Cu is regarded as 100 atom %.

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing that forms a portion of an outer surface of the electronic device and a display disposed in the housing and visually exposed through one side of the housing. The housing includes a first portion containing a metallic material, and the first portion includes a base material layer made of the metallic material, a first film layer that is disposed adjacent to a surface of the housing and that contains oxide of the metallic material, and a second film layer that is disposed between the base material layer and the first film layer and that contains oxide of the metallic material. The first film layer includes a first pore structure that extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to a surface of the first film layer, and the second film layer includes a second pore structure that is at least partially in fluid communication with the first pore structure and that extends in a radial shape toward the base material layer.

HOT-DIP ZINC-BASED PLATED STEEL SHEET

[Object] To provide a hot-dip zinc-based plated steel sheet excellent in coating film adhesiveness after hot pressing more conveniently.

[Solution] A hot-dip zinc-based plated steel sheet according to the present invention includes: a hot-dip zinc-based plated steel sheet that is a base metal; and a surface treatment layer formed on at least one surface of the hot-dip zinc-based plated steel sheet, in which the surface treatment layer contains one or more oxides selected from zirconia, lanthanum oxide, cerium oxide, and neodymium oxide each having a particle size of more than or equal to 5 nm and less than or equal to 500 nm, in a range of more than or equal to 0.2 g/m.sup.2 and less than or equal to 2 g/m.sup.2 per one surface.

HOT-DIP ZINC-BASED PLATED STEEL SHEET

[Object] To provide a hot-dip zinc-based plated steel sheet which suppresses excessive production of zinc oxides on an outer layer after hot pressing more conveniently and is excellent in corrosion resistance at an uncoated portion.

[Solution] A hot-dip zinc-based plated steel sheet according to the present invention includes: a base steel sheet that is a metal substrate; a hot-dip zinc-based plating layer provided on the base steel sheet; and a surface treatment layer formed on at least one surface of the hot-dip zinc-based plating layer, in which the surface treatment layer contains more than or equal to 0.1 g/m.sup.2 and less than or equal to 1.2 g/m.sup.2 of granular oxide per one surface on a metal basis in which, in a temperature range of 900 to 1300 K, standard free energy of formation (G.sup.0) of oxide is smaller than standard free energy of formation (G.sup.0.sub.Zn) of zinc oxide and larger than standard free energy of formation (G.sup.0.sub.Al) of aluminum oxide at an identical temperature, and the granular oxide has a particle size of more than or equal to 3 nm and less than or equal to 100 nm.

Black-plated steel sheet

A black-plated steel sheet has a Zn-plating layer containing molten Al and Mg, containing Al in the amount of 1.0-22.0 mass %, containing Mg in the amount of 1.3-10.0 mass %, and having a Zn black oxide distributed in a lamella pattern in the plating layer. The Zn black oxide is a Zn oxide derived from a Zn.sub.2Mg phase. The brightness of the surface of the Zn-plating layer containing the molten Al and Mg has an L* value of 60 or less.

TITANIUM MATERIAL AND COATED TITANIUM MATERIAL

A coated titanium material includes a titanium material and a coating film formed on a surface of the titanium material. A Ti-based oxide is included in an interface between the titanium material and the coating film. The Ti-based oxide is one or both rutile type TiO.sub.2 and Ti.sub.2O.sub.3. In a case where a cut surface of the coating film is formed by using a SAICAS method under conditions that a horizontal speed is 2 m/s and a vertical speed is 0.1 m/s, on the cut surface, an area percentage of the Ti-based oxide is 30.0% or more in a region having a distance of 15 m from a reference line specified on the basis of a boundary line, which is an intersection line between the cut surface and the interface, to a coating film side.
