PLASTER BOARDS HAVING INTERNAL LAYERS AND METHODS FOR MAKING THEM
Disclosed herein are plaster boards that include first and second layers of hardened plaster material, a liner attached to the first layer of hardened plaster material, and a first material (e.g., a polymer material such as a viscoelastic polymer) adhered between the liner and the second layer of hardened plaster material. The liner includes one or more structurally weakened regions each extending substantially from a first edge to a second opposing edge of the plaster board. The structurally weakened regions of the liner may facilitate creation of a fissure that propagates substantially within a plane within the plaster board. Methods for making the plaster boards may involve drying wet plaster material while it is in contact with a liner having structurally weakened regions, processing a liner to form its structurally weakened regions while in contact with wet plaster material, or processing a liner to form its structurally weakened regions while in contact with hardened plaster material.
Backplate, support frame for backlight unit, backlight unit and display device
The present invention relates to the display technology field, and provides a backplate, a plastic-iron integrated structure, a backlight unit, and a display device. The backplate is provided with a first through hole, and the first through hole has an inner wall and an outer wall which form a projection structure on the backplate. When the backplate is bonded with a plastic frame to form the plastic-iron integrated structure, the plastic frame not only contacts the inner wall of the first through hole, but also contacts the surface of the projection structure, thus increasing the contact area between the plastic frame and the backplate, and increasing the bonding force between the plastic frame and the backplate. Even when the plastic frame shrinks in case of fluctuations in temperature and/or humidity, the plastic frame is not easily separated from the backplate, and the stability of the formed plastic-iron integrated structure is improved.
Composite member and composite-member manufacturing method
A composite member includes a metal sheet having a bent portion formed by bending, and a resin member joined to at least a part of the bent portion. The metal sheet includes an opening provided on an inner side of the bent portion, and a tapered recess that tapers off from an outer side of the bent portion toward the opening. The resin member includes an inner resin part filled in the recess, and an exposed resin part provided to be continuous with the inner resin part and to extend to an inner surface of the bent portion through an edge portion of the opening.
SWISS CHEESE ATTACHMENT
A two-piece part may include a first portion defining at least one through hole and a second portion may be cast such that the second portion extends through the through hole thereby mechanically interlocking the first portion and the second portion together.
Thermal interface solution with reduced adhesion force
A method comprises applying an adhesive to a first substrate and a second substrate to secure the first substrate to the second substrate. The adhesive extends in a plane on one side of an interposer that also extends in the plane, and is contiguous with the adhesive. The interposer comprises openings to enable flow of adhesive through the openings to form adhesive bond areas on one of the substrates where the areas substantially conform to the openings and lie adjacent to adhesive free areas. The adhesive substantially covers the other of the substrates so that the bond areas produce regions of reduced adhesive strength to the one substrate compared to the bond strength of the adhesive to the other substrate. Adjusting opening sizes adjusts area bond strengths. One substrate may comprise a VTM, the other a heat spreader, and the adhesive, a TIM. An article of manufacture comprises the substrate-adhesive-interposer-adhesive-substrate layers.
WOOD FIBRE BASED PANEL WITH A SURFACE LAYER
A building panel with a surface layer including a wood veneer, a wood fibre based core and a sub-layer between the surface layer and the core. The sub-layer includes wood fibres and a binder. The surface layer has surface portions including material from the sub-layer. The surface portions including material from the sub-layer extend into the wood veneer.
Decoration panel and method for manufacturing decoration panel
A decoration panel of the present invention includes an outer layer having a through hole formed thereon which is opened to a front surface to be decorated and a back surface on a side opposite to the front surface, and a decoration layer including an inlay pattern portion which is part of the decoration layer entering the inside of the through hole from the back surface side being curved and deformed, the decoration layer being arranged on the entire back surface of the outer layer and having an approximately uniform layer thickness.
WEARABLE COOLING SYSTEM FOR BODY COOLING AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE WEARABLE COOLING SYSTEM
One variation of a system includes a garment insert: configured to be worn across a dermal surface; including a textile panel defining a grid receptacle; and including a grid structure arranged within the grid receptacle and defining an array of apertures. The system further includes a cooling unit including a heatsink structure: defining a base section defining an inner surface configured to contact the dermal surface; and defining a set of heatsink columns extending from the base section, opposite the inner surface, and configured to seat extending through the array of apertures. The cooling unit: is configured to wick moisture from the dermal surface toward surfaces of the set of heatsink columns; and includes a polymer frame, bonded to the heatsink structure about the base section, configured to abut surfaces of the base section to surfaces of the grid receptacle to flexibly retain the cooling unit within the grid receptacle.
Display panel and manufacturing method thereof, and display device
A display panel and a manufacturing method thereof, and a display device. The display panel comprises: a display module having an opening extending therethrough in a direction perpendicular to a light-exiting surface; and a light-shielding structure comprises a light-blocking layer positioned at an inner wall of the opening of the display module. The light-blocking layer can effectively prevent light from leaking from a film layer of the display module where the opening extends therethrough.
Core metal for resin welding, composite member and method of manufacturing the same
The core metal for resin welding improves bonding strength between an outer peripheral resin member and the core metal. The outer peripheral resin member 30 is welded to the peripheral surface 21 of the core metal 20 by fitting the core metal into a fitting hole 31 of the outer peripheral resin member 30, preparing the outer peripheral resin member 30 providing the fitting hole 31 with a smooth internal wall surface; preparing the core metal 20 wherein streaky protrusions 26 and smooth portions 25 are provided; allowing the top parts of the protrusions 26 to contact, and the smooth portions of the core metal 20 to face the smooth internal wall surface; and induction heating to weld the outer peripheral resin member 30 to the protrusions 26 and the smooth portions 25.
