Exercise system and method
A method for displaying archived exercise classes comprising displaying information about archived exercise classes that can be accessed by a first user via a computer network on a display screen at a first location, wherein the first user can select among a plurality of archived classes, outputting digital video and audio content comprising the selected archived class, detecting a performance parameter for the first user at a particular point in the selected class, displaying the performance parameter on the display screen, and displaying performance parameters from a second user at a second location on the display screen such that at least one of the performance parameters from the first user and at least one of the performance parameters from the second user at the same point in the class are presented for comparison.
TRAINING APPARATUS WITH PROGRESS INDICATOR AND UNIFIED BASE FOR DIFFERENT APPARATUS TYPES
A training apparatus having a progress indicator and unified base for different apparatus types, such as for an ergometer, speed bike, recumbent bike, home training bike, rowing apparatus, elliptical trainer, cross-trainer or treadmill. The fitness apparatus of every apparatus type is based on a structure which is unified in terms of technical design, according to which the frame or pedestal of the fitness apparatus has rollers which are arranged on the frame or pedestal such that a tilt-stable positioning of the frame with respect to the subsurface and a longitudinal displacement of the frame or of the frame together with the pedestal relative to the subsurface is enabled by means of an actuator depending on the measure of success of the user training.
Bicycle rack assembly
A bicycle rack assembly includes a first upright unit that is selectively positioned on a support surface. The first upright unit has an upper end and the upper end receives a rear axle of a first bicycle. In this way a rear wheel of the first bicycle is spaced from the support surface to spin freely when the first bicycle is mounted and pedaled. A second upright unit is slidably coupled to the first upright unit and the second upright unit is selectively positioned on the support surface. The second upright unit has a top end and the top end receives a rear axle of a second bicycle. In that way a rear wheel of the second bicycle is spaced from the support surface to spin freely when the second bicycle is mounted and pedaled.
Bicycling exercise apparatus
An apparatus permitting a user to perform a simulated bicycling exercise is provided. The apparatus includes a frame having a head tube, a first upper rear mounting point and a second lower front mounting point configured to maintain the frame, the first upper rear mounting point comprising an upper rear movable rotating joint, a seat connected to said frame and configured to support the user in a forward facing orientation, a wheel positioned in association with said frame, a set of pedals configured to interact with said wheel, and a stem connected to a handlebar arrangement, the stem passing through the head tube and connected to a base by a connection arrangement. The frame is configured to pivot about the first upper rear mounting point and second lower front mounting point in response to leaning by the user, causing rotation of the stem within the head tube.
Adjustable resistance and braking system for exercise equipment
An adjustable resistance system for use with an indoor cycle comprising a magnetic resistance assembly, a friction brake assembly, and a resistance adjustment assembly.
Exercise device
An exercise device, such as a bicycle or spinning bike, includes a frame, a first set of crank arms connected to a rotary shaft supported by the frame and having an imaginary rotational axis stationary with respect to the frame. A second set of crank arms is mounted eccentrically with respect to the rotational axis of the rotary shaft. A second shaft is coupled to the second set of crank arms such that rotation of the second shaft generates vibrations of the crank arms in the second set of crank arms.
Programmed exercise bicycle with computer aided guidance
The invention pertains to a stationary exercise bike along with a display that provides instruction to lead a rider through an exercise program. The invention allows a rider to obtain benefits of a group, instructor-led class though the rider's schedule does not permit the rider to participate in the class. The invention also describes a method of exercising with the foregoing bike and display.
Exercise system and method
A method for displaying live and archived exercise classes comprising displaying information about exercise classes that can be accessed by a first user via a digital communication network on a display screen at a first location, wherein the first user can select either a live class or select among a plurality of archived classes, outputting digital video and audio content comprising the selected class, detecting performance parameters for the first user at a particular point in the selected class, displaying at least one of the performance parameters on the display screen, and displaying performance parameters from a second user at a second location on the display screen such that at least one of the performance parameters from the first user and at least one of the performance parameters from the second user at the same point in the class are presented for comparison.
