MULTI-PURPOSE EXERCISE DEVICE
A multipurpose exercise device is provided. The device includes features which allow the device to exhibit self-stabilizing features. The device includes a weighted body characterized by at least three substantially-loop-shaped handles which have dimensions and arrangements that are effective to cooperatively urge the device into one of several predetermined self-stabilizing rest positions. The rest positions are characterized by engagement portions of two of the provided handles resting against a support surface, while an elongated device bore extending along a center axis of the device is maintained in a substantially-horizontal orientation. The device may be stored safely in a variety of arrangements, including on a rack typically used for dumbbell storage.
Exercise device for squat movement
An exercise device for performing squat movement including a base part for supporting the device against a surface, a first tube member attached to the base part, a second tube member movable with respect to the first tube member, an elastic member resisting the downward movement of the second tube member and moving upward the second tube member with respect to the first tube member, and a seat member for pressing down the second tube member, the seat member being attached to the second tube member.
PATIENT BED HAVING ACTIVE MOTION EXERCISE
A patient support apparatus may include a frame and an articulated deck coupled to the frame. The articulated deck may include a head section, a seat section, a thigh section, and a foot section. The seat section may include a stationary frame coupled to the frame and a moveable frame that moves relative to the stationary frame. The moveable frame may move between a retracted position and an extended position.
Fitness Tracking System With Voice Input
A method of operating a fitness tracking system including a plurality of sensors is disclosed herein. The method includes mounting a biometric monitoring device on an article of apparel worn by a user. The method further includes receiving a prompt indicating that the user intends to provide a verbal cue via a microphone provided on the biometric monitoring device. After receiving the verbal cue from the user one of a plurality of exercise modules is selected for execution by the processor. Each of the plurality of exercise modules is configured to generate workout metrics based at least in part on physiological data received from a first of the plurality of sensors without regard to physiological data from a second of the plurality of sensors. The selected exercise module generates workout metrics for the user for a limited period of time ranging from selection of the exercise module until occurrence of a termination event.
WEIGHT RACK SYSTEM AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
A weight rack system, comprising: at least one upright component provided with at least one cut-out on a front of the at least one upright, wherein the upright component is formed from a single sheet and is of unitary construction.
Glute press exercise machine
A glute press exercise machine including: a four-bar linkage connected to a stationary frame; a rotatable back support connected to the four-bar linkage; a seat connected to the four-bar linkage; and a foot support connected to the stationary frame. A lower portion of the back support extends below the user's hips to support the users hips during a glute press exercise. This lower portion supports at least 10% of the user's weight. In operation, the seat rotates downwardly away from the user's hips during a glute press exercise and then rotates upwardly again to contact the user's bottom between every repetition of the glute press exercise. The four-bar linkage is pivotally connected to the stationary frame at a location near ground level. The foot support is positioned below 25 cm from the ground and extends forwardly beyond the front of the stationary frame.
Motor-driven variable weight exercise device with modular chassis body
The invention herein relates to a variable weight exercise machine comprising a motor driven carriage assembly that moves along a linear path creating a variable resistant force against which the user exerts an opposite force. The chassis body and frame of said device may be positioned horizontally or vertically, and having a design that can be modularly configured in coordination with accessory elements to achieve a variety of concentric or eccentric exercise movements.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ATHLETIC MOTION ANALYSIS AND INSTRUCTION
A system and method for analyzing and improving the performance of a body motion of an animal or human subject requires instrumenting a subject with inertial sensors, monitoring a body motion of interest, converting sensor data into motion data and animation, comparing the motion data with existing data for motion related performance parameters, providing a real-time, information rich, animation and data display of the results in color coded displays; and based on the results prescribing a training regime with exercises selected from a library of standardized exercises using standardized tools and training aids.
DUMBELL BAR WITH TWO TRANSVERSE HANDLES
A training device having a beam (1), weight receptacles (2), and two handle attachments (3), which extend in a transverse direction in relation to the beam (1) and each comprise a handle part (4), is described. To design a training device of the type described at the outset in such a way that the risk of injury is avoided without an increase of the construction expenditure accompanying this, it is proposed that weight receptacles (2), on the side of each of which facing away from the beam (1) a handle (8) is rotatably mounted around the longitudinal axis of the handle attachments (3), are provided on the side of the handle attachments (3) opposite to the beam (1).
Exercise apparatus for performing a gluteal bridge movement
The present disclosure provides an exercise apparatus designed to allow a user to perform a gluteal bridge, typically with resistance, to improve the strength of the user's posterior hip and gluteal muscles. The exercise apparatus is configurable for use in different environments—in a gym, fitness center or training facility, a spa or studio, or a home gym. The exercise apparatus includes a frame assembly, a bench assembly, and a resistance assembly. The bench assembly is pivotally connected to the frame assembly to provide an elevated pivot point about which the bench assembly pivots when the user performs the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly is operably connected to the bench assembly and provides a resistance force that the user overcomes in order to pivotally move the bench through the gluteal bridge movement. The resistance assembly can include a cable, pulley and weight stack, or an elastically deformable band.
