Hybrid resistance system
A resistance system, which can be suitable for incorporation in exercise equipment, is a hybrid resistance assembly having at least a first and a second resistance unit. The first resistance unit can be of a first type and the second resistance unit can be of a second type. The first resistance unit can be an inertial resistance unit, which incorporates an inertial load that creates resistance influenced by the inertia of a movable mass, such as a rotatable flywheel. The second resistance unit can be a static or non-inertial resistance unit, such as a displacement resistance unit, which incorporates a load that creates resistance influenced by displacement (e.g., linear or rotational displacement) of an input to the displacement resistance unit.
Workout counting device
The present invention discloses an exercise device that is used to perform squat exercise. The device comprises a support bar, a height-adjustable support tube or column, a base, an electronic unit, and a seat. The support bar is positioned on a top portion of the support tube via a set of springs. The sprigs are configured to reposition the support bar to a horizontal position after the user leaves the seat and rises back into the upright body position. The electronic unit is configured to receive a set threshold value on maximum squat count from a user. The electronic unit records the squat count and provide an alert when the squat count exceeds the set threshold value on maximum squat count to be performed by the user, thereby it prevents injuries caused due to over enthusiastic during the exercise session.
NEGATIVE LIFT EXERCISE APPARATUS
An exercise apparatus for use by a sole individual user. In the preferred embodiment, a frame having a base is provided. A mast is attached to the base. A pivotable platform or bench on which the user can be positioned is operatively connected to the base and, in the quiescent state of the apparatus, parallel to the base. A handlebar unit, preferably comprising two grips, is connected to the mast, the handlebar unit having at least one sensor operable by the individual user. A drive element is operatively connected to the mast for producing resistance to the handlebar unit. The exercise apparatus operates on the principle of negative resistance technology, so when the user releases at least one of the handlebar unit sensors, the handlebar unit returns to an initial position relative to the mast, and the user can rest, start again, or depart from the apparatus.
Exercise apparatus with movable vertical members
An exercise apparatus allowing freedom of movement of an exercise bar is provided. The exercise apparatus comprises one or more base assemblies; a pair of spaced vertical members mounted to the one or more base assemblies; and a first bar member mounted to the spaced vertical members, wherein the first bar member is at least partially rotatable relative to the longitudinal axes of the vertical members. The one or more base assemblies may facilitate multidirectional horizontal movement of the vertical members, whereby the first bar member is rotatable relative to the longitudinal axes of the vertical members.
Load-adjusting device and locking device
A load-adjusting device for adjusting a load movably mounted to a frame of an exercise apparatus is provided. The device comprises a counterbalance; and a controller, wherein the counterbalance is configured to connect with the load in response to operation of the controller. Operation of the controller may configure the load-adjusting device between an unassisted configuration wherein the counterbalance is not in operative connection with the load, and an assisted configuration wherein the counterbalance is operatively connected with the load. A locking device for selectively constraining a movable component of an exercise apparatus is also provided. The locking device is suitable for use with the load-adjusting device.
ADJUSTABLE TRANSVERSE RESISTANCE EXERCISE MACHINE
An adjustably tensioned, transverse-suspended elastic element exercise device is disclosed. The transverse element is suspended between rigidly mounted frame or arm elements and sized so as to enable full range of motion exercises. The tension and height of the transverse elastic member can be adjusted to accommodate varying exercise levels and positions. The assembly may include handgrips and attachments to augment workouts. Electronic adjustability, metrics, programmability and Internet connectivity enhance the user experience. A method of using the device is also disclosed.
Multi-axis adjustable exercise machine
A multi-axis adjustable exercise machine which is pivotable about both a pitch axis and a roll axis with respect to a base for allowing an exerciser to perform a wide range of exercises on a pitched or rolled exercise machine. The multi-axis adjustable exercise machine generally includes an exercise machine which is adjustable with respect to a base. The exercise machine may be pivoted about a roll axis to adjust the roll angle of the exercise machine or may be pivoted about a pitch axis to adjust the pitch angle of the exercise machine. One or more actuators may be connected between the base and the exercise machine to effectuate the pivoting of the exercise machine about either or both axes with respect to the base.
Power squat exercise machine
The power squat exercise machine is an exercise machine for performing a squat exercise in a safe and controlled manner by providing shoulder pads with a specific angle which allows for the optimal comfort, posture, safety, and transfer of strength to a free weight squat. Support members are provided for more stability to the machine. It provides a dual safety stopping mechanism. The stopping mechanism provides controlled movement by the user and a safe entry and exit from the squat exercise machine. An adjustable safety locking mechanism is also provided which allows the user to control the movement range of the resistance.
ACTUATOR-BASED EXERCISE AND TRAINING DEVICE
An exercise device where force is applied by computer-controlled actuators. The programmable nature of the force application allows the device to simulate weight-training devices and other useful exercise devices.
Actuator-based exercise and training device
