WORKOUT DEVICES AND METHODS
A workout device that has an arcuate body having first and second ends, and one or more attachment points extending through the body, each attachment point for releasably attaching a load and for releasably attaching an anchor to suspend the workout device.
EXERCISE APPARATUS
An exercise apparatus is provided for use with a hip belt or short bar for respectively conducting squat or dead lift exercises, comprising at least one elevated platform secured to a rack, a weight holder, and a guide rod and/or other guide. The weight holder may be designed to hold free weights and to attach onto a hip belt or short bar. As the user performs the desired exercise supported by the platform, the guide rod, and/or other guide, guides the weight holder as it is lowered into the hole, limiting movement of the weight holder in the horizontal direction.
Weightlifting Machine
A weightlifting machine includes a carriage support, a carriage moveably mounted on the carriage support and configured to move along the carriage support, and a locking mechanism that is moveable between a locking position, where the locking mechanism engages the carriage and supports the carriage at an elevated position above a lowermost position of the carriage, and a release position, where the locking mechanism does not engage the carriage, and the carriage is free to move below the elevated position.
WEIGHTLIFTING WRAP
A weightlifting wrap is provided which prevents slippage, increases rebound potential, allows simpler application, and provides greater stability. The wrap includes a stretchable material having exposed elongate pliable strand members on one outer surface of the wrap. The exposed pliable strand members are arranged in an offset lattice configuration. The exposed pliable strand members may have a coefficient of friction sufficient to grip the previous layer of wrap.
RESISTANCE TRAINING DEVICE AND METHOD
A method for use with a physical training device is provided. The device including an elastic resistance strap having first and second handles. The method includes pulling at least one of the first and second handles to generate force on a target muscle group through resistance training. The method also includes pulling the at least one of the first and second handles to generate anaerobic and aerobic muscle activity within the target muscle group through cardiovascular interval training.
Squat Rack
A squat rack includes a frame, a tread unit, a lifting unit, a pulling unit and a connector. The tread unit includes two treads connected to and located on two sides of the frame for supporting a user's feet so that the frame is firmly kept on the ground by the user. The lifting unit is pivotally connected to the frame and located behind the user in operation. The pulling unit includes a middle portion pivotally connected to a front end of the frame. The connector pivotally connects a lower end of the pulling unit to the lifting unit so that the user can pull the pulling unit to cause the lifting unit to support the user's hips via the connector.
POSTURE CORRECTIVE EXERCISE SYSTEM
Systems and methods are disclosed for correcting posture during certain movement patterns the systems and methods comprising a foot pad, at least one strap, a front of foot elevation device, and a toe strap; the front of foot elevation device further comprising a half cylinder with a flat side of the half cylinder affixed to the foot pad with a curved portion of the cylinder facing away from the platform, with a friction pad on the foot pad and a friction increasing layer on a lower surface of the unibody shell.
EXERCISE DEVICE FOR USE IN MICROGRAVITY ENVIRONMENTS
A device including a first member for supporting a user; and a second member 14, attached to the first member, including a counterbalance portion. The first member and the second member are each moveable, and operable to slide with respect to each other in opposite directions, between a first position and a second position. The device can be operable such that between the first and second positions, the combined center of mass of the device 10 and its user remains substantially fixed. This serves to reduce the extent of forces and vibrations generated by use of the device on the object to which the device is located.
Person support apparatuses with selectively coupled foot sections
Person support apparatuses are disclosed. In one embodiment, a person support apparatus comprises a base frame and a primary support frame supported on the base frame. A carriage is freely translatable at least between a head end of the primary support frame and a foot end of the primary support frame. A support surface is supported on the carriage such that the support surface translates with the carriage. The support surface includes a support section which is collapsible in a length direction of the support surface. The support section may include an air bladder and a control valve fluidly coupled to the air bladder that regulates air pressure within the air bladder. The control valve has a normally closed position and a vent position, wherein the person support apparatus comprises an exercise configuration wherein the control valve is in the vent position and the air bladder is vented to atmosphere.
Laser guided feedback for rehabilitation and fitness exercises
A method for ensuring proper execution of exercises. A user is provided with a means for displaying a visual cue, in one embodiment a laser. The laser is worn by the user on certain areas of the body, for example a joint. The laser is projected and displayed on to a substrate such as a grid. In turn, the user is directed to move, resulting in movement of the visual cue on the grid. Reference points on the grid are compared to the movement of the user, as a result providing feedback from the movement of the user to an extent proper execution of the exercises can be corrected and applied.
