10335627 · 2019-07-02 ·

A method for resistance training to arm and leg movement can include connecting a horizontally oriented raised weight base secured to a moveable sled in a spaced apart relationship, mounting a agility box, threading a first flexible and extendable one piece stretch cord through a plurality of aligned first upper rollers, securing a static non-extending stretch cord between the moveable sled and a subject, pulling on the first flexible and extendable one piece stretch cord connected to the moveable sled by the subject to receive a first load of resistance causing a physiological change to a targeted part of the subject and simultaneously receiving a second load of resistance to a targeted part of the subject while pulling the moveable sled with the static non-extendable stretch cord.

Exercise device having sled or wheelbarrow configuration
10307633 · 2019-06-04 · ·

An exercise device having a sled or wheelbarrow configuration comprises a frame that is pushed across a support surface by a user. The frame carries a wheel that movably supports the frame in the wheelbarrow configuration and at least one skid that movably supports the frame in the skid configuration. A pair of handles is selectively repositionable on the frame from a vertical orientation used in the sled configuration and a horizontal orientation used in the wheelbarrow configuration to quickly and easily convert the device between its different configurations. The frame has a carriage that supports a plurality of exercise weight members with the carriage being movable in a fore-and-aft direction on the frame for changing the effort required from the user to push the frame.

Exercise apparatus

An exercise apparatus comprises a platform having a front roller, a rear roller and an endless belt mounted around the front roller and the rear roller for allowing a user to perform a first exercise type of a relatively lower resistance or a second exercise type of a relatively higher resistance. A front frame is mounted at a front side of the platform and has at least one holding portion adapted to be grasped by the user. One or more control interfaces controls the first exercise type and the second exercise type.

Foldable weight training sled

Disclosed is a foldable weight training sled for training, where the foldable weight training sled is moved along a substantially linear longitudinal direction. The foldable weight training sled includes a chassis, a first pair of fixed rotatable wheels, a second pair of fixed rotatable wheels, a first pair of foldable push bars, a second pair of foldable push bars, and a measurement device. The foldable push bars may be moved between an upright deployed position, and a folded position wherein the push bars rest along a top side of the chassis.

Core amortization time under tension method and apparatus
10300326 · 2019-05-28 · ·

The present invention uses a belt around the waist, elastic bands attached to the waist belt and an anchoring system to create simultaneous constant tension on the core and body movement systems during physical exercise in the three planes of motion (sagittal, transverse and frontal). The tension created causes perturbation (balance) challenges forcing the lower and upper body to work synergistically to overcome the load put on the entire muscular system. Since the tension is simultaneous, constant and multi-planar, it overloads the core and lower body movement systems (Lumbo-Pelvic-Hip Complex), separately challenging the transverse abdominus, internal obliques, pelvic floor, multifidus, and deep erector spinae group while the physical exercise is being performed. By achieving this, the present invention produces superior physiological results during physical exercise for athletic training, fitness maintenance, and physical therapy and rehabilitation, in a less costly and more time-efficient manner.

Lateral training system and method
10286279 · 2019-05-14 · ·

An exercise apparatus and method for applying one or more lateral resistive loads to participants performing complex motions at low or high speeds to condition one's body to better and more quickly perform physical movements at high speeds. Elastic members may be used to generate resistance emanating from a ground-based or vertically-positioned apparatus. The elastic members may connect to one or more of the following body parts simultaneously: feet, thighs, waist, hands, elbows or shoulders. The apparatus may be mechanically designed to fully retract the elastic members into the apparatus to maintain resistance while participants are in close proximity to the apparatus. The apparatus may provide a plurality of self-contained elastic members and provides participants with the ability to alter the vertical and horizontal positions of each elastic member's emanation point from the apparatus. This provides the ability to control applied resistance vectors between the attachment point on the participant and the apparatus.

WORKOUT APPARATUS

A workout apparatus 10 includes base 12. A lifting arm 14 is pivotally connected to base 12 and movable on base 12 between a raised position and a lowered position, the lifting arm 14 including a first end 14a pivotally connected to base 12 and a second end 14b opposite the first end, the second end 14b including a gripping end piece 16. At least one weight post 32 extends outward from lifting arm 14 at a location between first end 14a and second end 14b of lifting arm 14. A braking system 18 is mounted to base 12 and coupled to lifting arm 14. Braking system 18 allows lifting arm 14 to move toward the raised position freely. Braking system 18 is engaged as lifting arm 14 moves towards the lowered position to lower lifting arm 14 toward the lowered position at a controlled rate of speed.

Exercise machine support system

An exercise machine support system for providing increased versatility including inclination or declination of an exercise surface, a reduction in the overall length and width of the exercise machine, and an enhanced user interface which reduces the risk of injury. The exercise machine support system generally includes a cantilevered exercise machine which is adapted to have a variable angle of incline or decline with respect to a horizontal ground surface. The exercise machine will generally include a base and a support which extends between the base and the exercise machine. The upper end of the support is connected to the exercise machine by a first pivot such that the exercise machine pivots about the support. An adjustment device may be utilized to pivot the exercise machine and thus adjust its angle of incline. Various types of adjustment devices are disclosed, including an actuator, ratchet-and-pawl, gears, and cam.
