Core muscle training apparatus and method
A core muscle training apparatus and method is described. The apparatus comprises a harness that is worn by the user, to which a pair of resistance leads are connected at opposing sides of the user's waist approximately above the hips. A resistance force is applied through the resistance leads against an effort force exerted by the user in order to stimulate recruitment and activation of the targeted muscles. By adjusting the direction and the amount of resistance force applied to the resistance leads, the demand on the muscles being targeted can be controlled. The core muscle training apparatus according to embodiments of the present disclosure further offers versatility in the environment in which it can be used. The apparatus can be used, for example, when the user is in a static position or can be used during dynamic functional movements.
SLEDMILL EXERCISE APPARATUS
A sledmill exercise apparatus. The apparatus has a frame with two spaced apart upright supports, which is stabilized to prevent tipping. The frame has a spacer bar between the supports and is moveably connected to it to vary the distance between the bar and the ground. The frame has two handles moveably connected to the bar to vary the distance between the handles. The bar is lockable in one position and the handles are lockable in a holding position. An endless drive belt with a driving surface contacts a user's foot. The supports are sufficiently spaced apart to permit location of the belt adjacent the frame. The bar position and the holding position are such that the user achieves a desired biomechanical position which allows forward and backward resistant movement of the belt relative to the frame.
STRENGTH CALIBRATION
A resistance force is controlled such that a user's effort against the resistance force results in a first isokinetic seed movement. The resistance force required to effect the first isokinetic seed movement is associated with a force-velocity profile. It is determined whether a sufficient number of isokinetic seed movements have been performed by the user. In response to a determination that the sufficient number of isokinetic seed movements have been performed by the user, a strength determination of the user is made based on the isokinetic seed movements performed by the user.
Multi-Axis Adjustable Exercise Machine
A multi-axis adjustable exercise machine which is pivotable about both a pitch axis and a roll axis with respect to a base for allowing an exerciser to perform a wide range of exercises on a pitched or rolled exercise machine. The multi-axis adjustable exercise machine generally includes an exercise machine which is adjustable with respect to a base. The exercise machine may be pivoted about a roll axis to adjust the roll angle of the exercise machine or may be pivoted about a pitch axis to adjust the pitch angle of the exercise machine. One or more actuators may be connected between the base and the exercise machine to effectuate the pivoting of the exercise machine about either or both axes with respect to the base.
EXERCISE APPARATUS
A running exercise device is provided having a waist engaged belt connected to a first shoulder strap and second shoulder strap. Elastic bands extend between the waist belt and each of first and second leg bands positionable on the upper legs of the user. Lower leg bands may also be employed which have elastic leg bands extending between each lower leg band and a respective shoe on the foot of the user.
Devices and methods of thermal management for a motorized wheel
A method of thermal management for an electrically motorized wheel, the method can include defining a thermally conductive path from at least one component, the at least one component becoming heated during operation of the electrically motorized wheel, providing the path with a thermally conductive material and further defining the path such that the path contacts the at least one component, further defining the path such that the path contacts a hub shell assembly of the electrically motorized wheel thereby conducting heat from the at least one component to the hub shell assembly.
Multifunctional training and workout harness
The device and its attachments include a harness that is worn over the user's upper body and around the user's waist. The harness provides a plurality of attachment areas for additional items. Some of the items include but are not limited to a log carrier, a large duffle bag, and a small duffle bag. The harness will allow said items to attach with quick release loops and side release buckles. The harness will also provide a pouch attachment ladder system (PALS) or otherwise known as a modular lightweight load-carrying equipment system (MOLLE). Accordingly, the harness may be used to carry or drag said items depending on the exercise being carried out by the user.
MULTI-SPORT ATHLETIC RESISTANCE TRAINING BELT
An athletic training belt including: a first part comprising a radially internal and radially constrictable waist belt; a second part connected to the first part, the second part being a radially external and circumferentially rigid annular frame, wherein the annular frame includes an annular track, a mechanical connector that slidably moves about the track, and an aperture for connecting with athletic training equipment; wherein the annular frame comprises frame portions that move relative to each other, wherein the training belt is reversibly closable to form an annular loop; and a third part fixedly connected to a radially internal surface of the annular frame, wherein the third part flexibly connects the waist belt to the annular frame.
DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING A RESTRAINING FORCE DURING RUNNING TRAINING
A device for transmitting a restraining force to the body of a runner during running training, including a strap to be wound around the body, and an element for connecting the strap to a tension cord transmitting the restraining force. The connection element engages behind the strap, and upon a body rotation of the runner, rolls and/or glides in the circumferential direction of the strap on the inner side of the strap facing the body.
Method for controlling the operation of a treadmill, treadmill and related program product
Disclosed are a treadmill and a method for controlling the operation of the treadmill. The method comprises: detecting, by at least one detecting sensor with which the treadmill is equipped, at least a first parameter representative of the interaction between a user and a physical exercise surface of the treadmill; providing at least one set reference value of a second parameter representative of the interaction between the user and the physical exercise surface; modulating, by means of the data processing unit, at least one electrical control parameter of an actuation device operatively associated with at least either a first rotary element and a second rotary element with which the treadmill is equipped, on the basis of said at least a first parameter the step of modulating being carried out to keep the second parameter equal to the set reference value of said at least a second parameter.
