Exercise apparatus
Exemplary embodiments of a portable exercise apparatus are provided, the exercise apparatus including a base, a bottom plate secured to a top portion of the base, a bracket affixed to the bottom plate, a base plate secured to a top portion of the bottom plate, the base plate including a plurality of holes on a top surface of the base plate, a foot plate secured to a top portion of the base plate and configured to selectively engage with at least one of the plurality of holes on the top surface of the base plate, such that when the foot plate is rotated the base plate and bottom plate also rotate, a threaded hole on the base, and a first resistance element having a first end secured to the threaded hole on the base and a second end secured to the bottom plate.
Systems And Methods For Facilitating Rehabilitation And Exercise
In one embodiment, an exercise system includes a user interface device sized and configured to fit within a user's hand, the user interface device including a microcontroller configured to control operation of the device, a first sensor configured to sense movements of the device, a second sensor configured to sense forces applied to the device, and a communication device configured to communicate data concerning the sensed movements and forces to a separate device.
DEVICE FOR PELVIC LIMB BLOOD FLOW
A structure including left and right footplates and weight shafts provided at left and right sides in a blood circulation exercise interlocking device, providing a pelvic limb blood circulation ankle interlocking device comprising a vertical supporter configured at the center of a lower plate of a main body in a vertical direction, left and right auxiliary vertical supporters configured to be parallel in a vertical direction at left and right sides of the vertical supporter, rotary shafts configured at the same position as the left and right auxiliary vertical supporters in a horizontal direction of the vertical supporter, left and right rotary bars configured at left and right sides of the rotary shaft to be coupled with a rotating device, weights made of heavy metals at the upper ends of the left and right rotary bars, and left and right footplates configured at left and right rotation lower ends.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS PREVENTION
Portable devices and methods for preventing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) by assuring that the ankle is flexed and extended sufficiently to promote blood flow in the lower leg are disclosed. The device includes an actuator with a free movement mode that allows a patient to move freely between activations or to initiate movement to delay a next automatic activation.
Torsion based exerciser
An exercise machine including a support frame having a handle structure affixed to a base structure is described. The handle structure can provide hand support for a user using the machine. The base structure can provide floor support for the machine. One or more resilient pedaling assemblies may be pivotably coupled with the base structure to guide exercising movements of the user. Each resilient pedaling assembly may comprise an elastic element to provide a torsion force, a foot pad for resting a corresponding foot of the user and pivot assemblies rotatably engaged with the elastic element and the foot pad. Movement of the foot pad may cause deformation of the elastic element via the pivot assemblies. The deformation can induce the torsion force from the elastic element to provide reciprocal foot pedaling effects to the user.
Polyvalent apparatus for physical therapy
A polyvalent apparatus for physical therapy including a support to which is fastened a first tool provided for a specific treatment, a second and a third tool provided for a specific treatment, the second and the third tool being connected to the support in combination with the first tool.
Reciprocating rehabilitation device
A reciprocating rehabilitation device that can be used as a stand alone unit or incorporated within a stationary bicycle. The device utilizes independently operating pedals together with range of motion limiters. Patients and therapists alike can rehab each limb independently through any necessary progressive range of motion on the way to recovery.
PLATFORM FOR WORK WHILE STANDING
A work platform has a top member with a surface sized to receive a user's feet thereon while standing and a bottom member coupled to the top member. The bottom member has a width and length generally equal to the width and length of the top member. The bottom member has a curved surface generally at the longitudinal center of the work platform defined at least partially by a radius of curvature of between about 100 mm and about 850 mm. The curved surface induces instability under a user standing on the top member to thereby facilitate active muscle engagement in the user's legs while standing on the work platform.
Exercise apparatus having guided foot pad carriers
An apparatus for human exercise includes a first foot pad attached to a first guided carrier member, and a second foot pad attached to a second guided carrier member. Motion of the first and second guided carrier members is limited to linear translation along a longitudinal axis of a horizontal guide rail. First and second and third elastic members may be attached to and apply opposite elastic forces to the first and second guided carrier members along the longitudinal axis. A transverse frame member is fixed to the horizontal guide rail and is oriented horizontally and transverse to the longitudinal axis. A vertical frame member with a raised hand rail may extend from the transverse frame member. The first and second foot pads may be pivotably coupled to the first and guided carrier members by torsional elastic members.
