An exercise apparatus with base horizontal members forming a base polygon and ceiling horizontal members forming a ceiling polygon and a plurality of vertical members mounted at their lower ends to the base polygon and mounting the ceiling polygon spaced from the base polygon. A human interface permits athletes to exercise, and wheels mounted to the base polygon permit transport of the apparatus and attached equipment to a field or court. The base polygon includes two parallel skids and the human interface may be a pad permitting an athlete to push the apparatus horizontally when none or two of the wheels contact the ground. When no wheels contact the ground, the apparatus may be used in the manner of a weight rack, because the apparatus will not move along the ground without substantial force being applied.

A modular and configurable muscular physical rehabilitation and training system that is a total body fitness system designed to promote strengthening and creation of muscle mass using free weights. Free weights simulate real-life situations and promote whole body stabilization. Free weights allow more variations in the range of motion than using modern machines. The system allows the flexible and configurable use of muscle contractile activities utilizing free weights and proper techniques. This is done in a space-saving, compact, safe, configurable, and practical configuration that can be used with a plurality of participants supported by a single trainer/therapist.

An article for performing exercise that may include an attacher piece to attach to an elevated object and an extender piece to extend a horizontal distance from the elevated object while the attacher piece is attached to the elevated object and while the extender piece is connected to the attacher piece. The article may also include a weight suspension piece to suspend a body of weight therefrom while the weight suspension piece is connected to the extension piece. The article may also include a supporter piece configured to extend from at least one of the extender piece and the weight suspension piece to apply force against the elevated object, thereby providing additional support for the suspension of the body of weight from the weight suspension piece.

Disclosed is a training system. The training system may include a base, a plurality of gussets, a support frame, a plurality of connectors, and a plurality of locking pins. The plurality of gussets may define a plurality of adjustment holes. The support frame may include first and second support members and a crossbar. The first and second support members may be connected to the base via the plurality of gussets. The plurality of connectors may be distributed about the base and along the crossbar. The plurality of locking pins may be sized to fit the plurality of adjustment holes to lock the support frame in one of a plurality of angled positions relative to the base.

A handrail assembly for a treadmill is provided. The handrail assembly includes: a base having a first side and a second side; a first portion extending from the first side of the base; a second portion extending from the second side of the base; and a member coupled to the first portion and the second portion, the member including at least one lower section and at least one upper section. The base defines at least one compartment. At least a part of the member is configured to receive a pushing force from a user during use of the treadmill.

A detachable stabilizing support system for use on an exercise machine, such as a functional trainer exercise machine, has adjustable support positions and is capable of being configured between an exercise position and a more compact storage position.

Described herein are methods of manufacturing multi-use mounting brackets having an extension with an internal support rod configured to support gym accessories. A single multi-use mounting bracket fits gym rigging or gym racks of different sizes and hole configurations. This accomplished by including multiple pairs of holes that are sized and positioned to be compatible with different gym rigging configurations. The multi-use mounting brackets described herein are advantageously designed to resist both downward and upward forces.

A portable exercise device positioned laterally across a doorway with first and second vertical sides and a threshold, providing a stable platform for a user to perform upper and lower body exercises, wherein the device includes a horizontal exercise bar configured with hand grips, supported by a vertical supporting member. A vertical extension assembly allows the horizontal exercise bar to be raised and lowered. The vertical supporting member incorporates a vertical support plate which abuts against the first vertical side of the doorway, and an anchoring assembly which engages an anchoring point where the second vertical side meets the threshold. The user grasps the hand grips to perform exercises such as dips and leg lifts, while the vertical supporting member exerts force against the doorway via the vertical support plate and the anchoring assembly simultaneously, securely retaining the portable exercise device between the first and second vertical sides.

A stationary exercise apparatus allows one or two users to execute a wide variety of bodyweight exercises including pull-ups, dips, crunches, leg raises, and inclined push-ups. The apparatus can quickly and easily be folded into a compact configuration for storage, e.g., in a closet or under a bed, without the use of tools.

A modular home gym can include a platform with one or more holes that mate with one or more mating portions of attachable and removable exercise attachments. A variety of exercise attachments can be connected to the platform in a variety of configurations. Other embodiments are described.
