ADJUSTABLE POSITION GRIPPING HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR EXERCISE MACHINES
20200121979 · 2020-04-23 · ·

A gripping handle assembly for an exercise machine, the gripping handle assembly having an axial shaft connected at an angle to a gripping handle, wherein the axial shaft is receivable into a circular bearing housing that is mounted to an end of an exercise arm, and wherein the axial shaft and the circular bearing housing each have engaging mechanisms such that a user pushes on a knob or pulls on the gripping handle to first unlock the axial shaft and then rotate the gripping handle to a different radial position. Releasing the gripping handle causes a spring to lock it into its new radial position. The first engaging mechanism may be a collar connected to the gripping handle with an indexing tab on the collar and the second engaging mechanism may be a plurality of indexing slots on the circular bearing housing such that the indexing tab is receivable into any one of the indexing slots.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR EXERCISE OR ANALYSIS OF THE NECK REGION
20200069998 · 2020-03-05 ·

Provided herein are devices and methods for analysis and/or exercise of a body region of a subject. Such devices may include a guide arm supported by a support frame; a receiving surface supported by the guide arm, the receiving surface for receiving input force from the subject; and a motor assembly in communication with the guide arm, the motor assembly controlling movement of the receiving surface based on received input force. Exercise and/or analysis methods described herein may include steps of instructing the subject to apply an input force to a receiving surface; sensing the applied input force over time; and controlling movement of the receiving surface based on the received input force using a motor assembly, whereby the motor assembly moves the receiving surface in a pre-determined direction, so long as the input force remains within an allowable tolerance, until a pre-set end position is reached.

Fitness and Rehabilitation machine for the Rotator Cuff
20200061413 · 2020-02-27 ·

A machine for exercising and rehabilitating the rotator cuff muscles that allows the user to easily isolate and manipulate, from a standing position, the internal and external rotation of the Rotator cuff with an outstretched arm, at any angle, to strengthen the Rotator Cuff muscles. Additionally it allows the user to strengthen the Pronation, Supination, Radial Deviation and Ulnar Deviation of the wrist.

The aforementioned machine is comprised of a main rotating handle apparatus that consists of a gear joint, a ratchet mechanism and an angle adjustment pin. The handle is secured to linear rails that allow for height adjustment. The main rotating handle apparatus is connected to a stack of weights for resistance via a rubber coated steel cable and pulleys as well as connected to two counter weights via rubber coated steel cables and pulleys that relieve the weight of the handle for ease of adjustment.

Resistance training device and method

A method for use with a physical training device is provided. The device including an elastic resistance strap having first and second handles. The method includes pulling at least one of the first and second handles to generate force on a target muscle group through resistance training. The method also includes pulling the at least one of the first and second handles to generate anaerobic and aerobic muscle activity within the target muscle group through cardiovascular interval training.

INTERCHANGEABLE ARM QUICK RELEASE MECHANISM FOR CHEST PRESS EXERCISE MACHINE
20200003250 · 2020-01-02 · ·

A quick release mechanism for an exercise arm assembly enabling a user to switch exercise arms very quickly, the mechanism having: (a) an elongated body; (b) a curved aperture passing laterally across a distal end of the elongated body, cutting downwardly through the elongated body, and being angled towards the distal end of the elongated body; (c) a button assembly positioned near the distal end of the elongated body, moveable to either project into or project away from the aperture; and a biasing member that urges the extending portion of the button assembly into the locked position.

Shoulder strengthening apparatus

EXERCISE MACHINE WITH MOVABLE USER SUPPORT

An exercise machine with a two directional pivoting user support assembly has a user support or platform which supports the user and pivots about a first pivot axis during an exercise movement, and is also pivotable about at least one second pivot axis to involve the user's core muscles in balancing and maintaining the user support in a stable position. A manually operable locking device with a simple flip switch lever is provided for selectively locking the user support against rotation about the second pivot axis, so that the user can easily chose whether to perform the exercise with a stable support or to add a level of difficulty by using the unstable seat mode and exercising core muscles during the exercise.

Exercise machine having elastic exercise resistance cables

An exercise machine includes an upright mounting assembly having a top and a bottom spaced-apart from the top. The exercise machine includes a seat operatively connected to the upright mounting assembly. The exercise machine includes a first pair of space-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the top of the upright mounting assembly. The exercise machine includes a second pair of spaced-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the bottom of the upright mounting assembly. The exercise machine includes a plurality of exercise resistance cables connected at proximal end portions to the upright mounting assembly and extending around and outward, respectively, from the first and second pairs of spaced-apart pulley assemblies.
