TRICEPS PRESS EXERCISE MACHINE WITH A MOVING USER SUPPORT
An exercise machine for performing triceps press exercises, including a moving user support that supports the user in a seated position. The exercise machine includes a linkage assembly that allows the user support to tilt as the user performs a triceps press exercise. As the user extends his or her arms from the exercise starting position to the exercise ending position, the user support frameand thus the user's torsoreclines progressively backwards. The user's natural reaction to this reclining sensation is to bring his or her head forward, which encourages the user to plant his or her lower back firmly into a stable position against the back pad and in turn reduces the risk of injury associated with excessively arching of the lower back.
REHABILITATION DEVICE AND ITS USE FOR EXERCISING THE SHOULDER REGION
The present invention relates to a rehabilitation device (1) adapted for rehabilitating and/or exercising the shoulder region, as well as to the use of such a rehabilitation device. The device has a frame (1a), in connection with which are arranged support elements (2a, 2b) enabling the upright position of the upper body during the exercise, shoulder supports (4) holding the shoulder position of the user stationary during the exercise, pivot elements (10) arranged to the ends of elongated shaft portions (9) arranged on both sides of the vertical midline (L) of the frame (1a), motion shafts (7) arranged in connection with the pivot elements (10), and elbow supports (8) attaching to the end of each motion shaft (7), wherein the motion shafts (7) and elbow supports (8) are movable by the pivot elements (10). The angle () between the imaginary extension, extending towards frame (1a), of the pivot axis (A) of each pivot element (10) and the imaginary extension of the transverse midline (H) perpendicular in relation to the vertical direction of the frame is 60+5, and the angle (a) between the imaginary extension, extending towards frame (1a), of the pivot axis (A) of each pivot element (10) and the plane travelling through the midline (L) of the frame is 60+5.
Physical therapy device and methods for use thereof
The present application relates to a physical therapy device to strengthen and prevent atrophy in muscles for use while seated in a chair or a wheelchair or while lying in a bed. The physical therapy device includes a back rest; right and left upper arm rests coupled to the back rest by a first connector; and right and left lower arm rests coupled to the right and left upper arm rests, respectively, by a second connector. Each lower arm rest comprises a handle. Each upper arm rest is configured to move towards the back rest at the first connector to fold flush against the back rest. The physical therapy device further comprises an extender coupled to the back rest; right and left upper leg units coupled to the extender by a third connector; and right and left lower leg units coupled to the right and left upper leg units, respectively, by a fourth connector. Each lower leg unit comprises a stirrup.
Shoulder End Range of Motion Improving Device
Disclosed is an shoulder end range of motion improving device is comprising a linkage, the linkage including, a first link member, a second link member supported on the first link member, the second link member configured for being secured to an arm of a patient and being rotatable about a second link axis for rotating the arm of the patient about a shoulder joint of the patient through an arm range of motion, the second link axis being displaceable into a selectable fixed position and maintaining the fixed position during rotation of the second link member, an actuator for rotating the second link member about the second link axis, and a controller controlling the actuator for selectively rotating the second link member about the second link axis through the arm range of motion.
WEIGHT EXERCISE MACHINE
The present invention relates to a weight exercise machine and training methods for development and strengthening of muscles and joints with exercises aimed for overcoming a counteracting force with or without measuring equipment, more specifically, to training devices and training methods with the eccentric phase of the training.
The weight exercise machine comprises a frame bearing a seat for a user, the seat fastened to the frame; a touch screen connected with a control unit for controlling training modes and monitoring training parameters; an actuator controlled by the control unit; and an interface interacting with the user. Thus, efficiency of weight training can be improved.
Resistance Apparatus, System, and Method
A resistance exercise system having, in certain embodiments, a DC power supply system, a DC motor connected to the DC power supply system, a drive section connected to a drive element, a resistance delivery element connected to the drive element, and an extractable exercise resistance delivery section, a predetermined variable resistance section intermediate the DC power supply system and DC motor, an electrical condition sensor, and a variable resistance section control in communication with the electrical condition sensor and the predetermined variable resistance section. In some embodiments, the resistance exercise system includes a computing facility providing the ability to configure the exercise system to provide predetermined static or variable exercise resistance during exercise, and for example, during a positive or negative exercise stroke. Some embodiments allow users to create and, if desired, display varying and complex resistance exercise routines with or without use of resistance weights.
Data Driven System For Providing Customized Exercise Plans
Techniques for configuring an exercise machine to operate according to a predefined workout regimen are described. The exercise machine includes exercise apparatus portion that is controlled and configured at least in part by a computing system portion. The computing system receives an operator selection of a selected predefined workout regimen, and operator data including at least operator gender, operator height and operator age and the computing system retrieves parameter data to configure an exercise instruction that is part of the selected workout regimen. The parameter data is retrieved from a database that stores at least range of motion data and maximum weight data searchable by a cohort, e.g., gender/height cohorts or gender/age cohorts and converts the retrieved parameter data into settings data to configure corresponding portions of the exercise apparatus according to the configured exercise instruction.
Multi-purpose exercise device
A multi-purpose fitness bar capable of being asymmetrically weighted. The fitness bar has a frame consisting of three arms, multiple handholds and elevated risers. The handholds are in a multitude of positions and angles to provide variability in training. Each arm is capable of being independently loaded with one or more removable weights to produce a symmetric or asymmetric weight load to provide increased torque with movement of the device as well as driving the body in movement patterns consistent with function. The elevated risers provide a space between the body of the device and floor to provide push-up function of the device by protecting the users hands from contact with the ground. The arms of the device may also provide attachments for resistance band use to provide another loading mechanism for strength development.
DEVICES FOR EXERCISE APPARATUSES
A device for an exercise apparatus includes a linear adjustment system and a sensor coupled to the linear adjustment system. The exercise apparatus includes a loading interface and a frame coupled to the loading interface for performing an exercise. The linear adjustment system fixes the loading interface of the exercise apparatus at any one of a plurality of functional positions in a functional range of the loading interface. The sensor measures the force exerted on the linear adjustment system. A correlating mechanism is used to correlate the force exerted on the linear adjustment system with the force exerted on the loading interface. The device allows exercisers to exert high or maximum loads in any one of a plurality of positions throughout their entire range of motion without first passing through a weak range of motion.
