PORTABLE GYMNIC MACHINE AND BAG-CONTAINER FOR ITS TRANSPORT AND UTILIZATION
A portable exercise machine (1), for the execution of gymnastic and/or rehabilitation exercises through the extension of an elastic element, comprising: a base or platform (2) of small size, having a plan extension slightly greater than that of the area covered by the footprints of two feet, and that can be contained in a cabin briefcase, said base or platform (2) being usable to stabilize the machine by means of the weight or the thrust of the user; only one gripping element or handle (3) of cylindrical shape having a longitudinal length or first length suitable to allow a two handed grip; an elastic band (4) whose ends are respectively fixed to said base (2) and to said gripping element or handle (4), the width of said elastic band (4) being inferior to said first length of the handle (3) in order to leave two free zones on the two sides of the band when the same band is wound around the handle (3), the length of the portion of the elastic band used for an exercise being variable due to the winding of the same elastic band (4) around the element gripping or handle (3).
DAMPING DEVICE
A damping device includes a casing structure, a retarding mechanism, a driving mechanism, a restoring mechanism and a resistance mechanism. An accommodating space is formed in the casing structure to accommodate the retarding mechanism, and a through hole and a hollow-out hole are formed at wall surfaces of two opposite sides of the accommodating space respectively. The retarding mechanism has a main shaft passed through out of the through hole, and a retarding shaft acting simultaneously with the main shaft. The driving mechanism has a wire wheel fastened on the main shaft. The restoring mechanism has a restoring wheel fastened on the wire wheel. The resistance mechanism has a metal element fastened on the retarding shaft, and a magnetic part is disposed between the metal element and the hollow-out hole, and an interval is formed between the magnetic part and the metal element.
Weight training machines
A weight training machine for allowing at least two of a user's muscle groups to push or pull simultaneously in a synchronized and unified fashion, having at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism; a first actuating means operatively connected to the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism for allowing actuation of the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism by a first of the user's muscle groups, and a second actuating means operatively connected to the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism for allowing actuation of the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism by a second of the user's muscle groups, wherein actuation of both the first actuating means and the second actuation means simultaneously acts upon and or resists against the at least one common counter or weight resistance mechanism. One embodiment is an exercise machine and a drive or actuating mechanism with a lever and fulcrum configuration. The fulcrum has an attached handle, arm, lever or platform means, bearings for operatively cooperating with an axle and/or the lever, and attachment means for additional actuating member or members being operatively connected to the axle. The lever has a means for contact with the user and a weight means for providing a counterweight to the weight of the user, as well as attachment means for operatively connecting with the fulcrum and/or axle. The actuating member or members are attached to the fulcrum, preferably pivotally, and comprise linkages to the axle and/or lever so as to be able to transfer force from the user to the lever. Other embodiments include weight training machines having a moment arm weight, weight stack, or weight plate weight resistance mechanism for creating a weight resistance or weight load.
Functional training equipment with multiple movement planes used for pull exercises
A biceps curl machine is described. The biceps curl machine includes: a resistance element; a user support coupled to the resistance element; a first movement element coupled to the user support; and a second movement element coupled to the user support. A biceps curl machine includes: a cable resistance element adapted to allow for a resistance path that is at least partly defined by a user; a user support adapted to move along a movement path as a biceps curl is performed; and a load including a set of plates that may be selectively coupled to the cable resistance element. A lateral raise machine includes: a cable resistance element adapted to allow for a resistance path that is at least partly defined by a user; a user support adapted to move along a movement path as a lateral raise is performed; and a load including a set of plates.
Total body exercise system and method
An exercise device and methods for performing physical exercise that improve strength, conditioning, and flexibility of an operator in a functional way using multiple body positions and exercising multiple muscle groups while keeping the spine in a safe and natural position, being simple to manufacture and use, and being compact and portable. The exercise device includes an elongated member, a hollow member, handles, a foot board system, and at least one resistance band. A resistance band is secured to the elongated member and the hollow member, and slidable movement of the hollow member and the elongated member relative to each other by the operator stretches a resistance band, which creates resistance to the movement, thereby exercising, strengthening, and conditioning the operator. The operator may use the exercise device in a number of configurations to perform a number of exercises in a number of body positions.
Unsupported Pelvic / Spine, Third Class Lever Exercise System and Method
The invention is embodied in an exercise system that can allow its user to counterbalance the effects associated with a predominantly sedentary lifestyle though a fitness device that comprises a combination of (a) supporting the lower body in a manner that permits a user's upper body to act as a third class lever with the user's hips operating as fulcrum and (b) engaging in resistance exercises with the upper body in a horizontal position, unsupported above the greater trochanter.
Adjustable reformer
An adjustable reformer for exercising is provided. The reformer includes a frame, a carriage slidably mounted to the horizontal frame, and at least one resistance element connected to the carriage. A cord connects the carriage to at least one lower guide and at least one upper guide. Pulling the cord causes movement of the carriage along the frame against resistance provided by the resistance element. The guides can be height adjustable. The reformer can include a cord-length adjustment system. Related methods of exercise are also provided.
MOBILITY AND EXERCISE DEVICE
The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a roll-walk device. The device is a pair of walking sticks or poles that enables users to exercise their upper body by mimicking (i.e., the arm and upper body movements of) a walking, hiking, and/or skiing motion while sitting down. The base of each walking stick or pole features an interchangeable mechanism that enables users to swap out the standard base with a set of wheels. Thus, once the device is equipped with the wheels, the user can sit comfortably while mimicking (i.e., the arm and upper body movements of) a walking, hiking, and/or skiing motion to exercise their upper body.
Upper extremity rehabilitation system
An upper extremity rehabilitation system comprising a base with one or more pockets, a first pole and a second pole, each pole having a grip and a joint. The joint is removably attached to the pockets on the base to secure the pole from sliding. The base can have a top and a bottom with a thickness that is half or full circle. The system may also include a band spanning between the first pole and the second pole and is coupled to the poles with at least one clip. The system also includes a method of applying the system by securing the poles at a predetermined distance, choosing a band with user specified resistance, coupling the band between the poles with a clip, and instructing a user to place their hands on the grips and move the poles away from each other or in a circular motion.
