Reciprocating arm motion walker
A wheeled ambulatory aid for mobility and training which is advanced via bodily contact. Reciprocating UE movement is enabled and reciprocating gait patterns can be performed. The patient mobility aid includes a frame, and at least first and second wheels operatively secured to and supporting the frame for selective rolling movement. First and second support assemblies are located on first and second sides of the frame, respectively. A reverse motion linkage operatively associated with the first and second support assemblies, the reverse motion linkage including a first state configured to provide independent between the first and second support assemblies, and a second state configured to provide interrelated movement between the first and second support assemblies to create symmetrical out of phase reciprocating UE movement. Support assemblies can variably be statically positioned.
Resistance Training System and Assisted Training Method
A resistance training system includes a tackle providing mechanical advantage, and a user performs strength training exercises by pulling or pushing on the running block while resisting motion of the running block by pulling or pushing on the free end of the runner. The running block, fixed block and free end of the system may be secured at various locations of the body.
RESISTANCE MEDIATED TORQUE LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM AND METHOD
A resistance apparatus may include a drive circuitry. A resistance apparatus may include a motor. A resistance apparatus may include an electronic resistance element. A resistance apparatus may include a resistance insertion manner for decoupling the motor from the drive circuitry. A resistance apparatus may include a manner for delivering a minimum motor current approximately equivalent to an undriven system user-experienced resistance.
Exercise machine having fluid container with adjustable water levels
An exercise machine assembly provides a fluid-based resistance force and allows a user to exert a force against the resistance force. A fluid displacement device is coupled to the exercise machine assembly and rotatably driven by the force exerted by the user. A fluid container has a hollow body enclosing the fluid displacement device, allowing for the fluid displacement device to rotate therein, and encloses a fluid. The fluid container includes an inner reservoir and an outer reservoir that cause the fluid-based resistance force to vary based on amounts of fluid in the inner and outer reservoirs, respectively. Further, the inner reservoir has one or more openings through which fluid can flow from either of the inner reservoir or the outer reservoir to the other.
Exercise Machine With Variable Resistance System
The exercise machine with a variable resistance system includes a frame, an exercise implement movably connected to the frame, a main shaft rotatably connected to the frame, a main connector attached between the main shaft and the exercise implement, a plurality of resistance assemblies and a plurality of actuation assemblies adapted for selectively engaging or disengaging at least one of the plurality of resistance assemblies with respect to the main shaft. The plurality of resistance assemblies apply a total level of rotational resistance against the main shaft based on which of the plurality of resistance assemblies are engaged with the main shaft by the plurality of actuation assemblies.
RESISTANCE TRAINING SYSTEM
A resistance training system. The training system includes a tackle providing mechanical advantage, and a user performs strength training exercises by pulling or pushing on the running block while resisting motion of the running block by pulling or pushing on the free end of the runner.
Exercise machine having elastic exercise resistance cables
An exercise machine includes an upright mounting assembly having a top and a bottom spaced-apart from the top. The exercise machine includes a seat operatively connected to the upright mounting assembly. The exercise machine includes a first pair of space-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the top of the upright mounting assembly. The exercise machine includes a second pair of spaced-apart pulley assemblies rotatably mounted adjacent to the bottom of the upright mounting assembly. The exercise machine includes a plurality of exercise resistance cables connected at proximal end portions to the upright mounting assembly and extending around and outward, respectively, from the first and second pairs of spaced-apart pulley assemblies.
Exercise assembly
An exercise assembly for execution of an exercise regimen by a user having a base assembly and a support assembly. The exercise assembly includes a resistive track assembly mounted to a portion of the support assembly. The resistive track assembly has a plurality of resistive track members each having a resistive track channel through a portion thereof. The exercise assembly further includes a carriage assembly having at least one handle interconnected to at least one carriage through the resistive track channel of a corresponding resistive track member. Each handle and carriage is moveable along a portion of a corresponding resistive track member. The resistive force assembly includes a plurality of resistive force members, and at least one resistive force member is interconnected to each carriage to present a resistive force to counter movement of the carriage along a corresponding resistive track member.
Exercise equipment having a cable system and methods of assembling exercise equipment having a cable system
Exercise equipment comprises a resistance weight that is configured to oppose a given exercise motion via a cable system. An elongated cylindrical connector couples the resistance weight to the exercise equipment via the cable system. The elongated cylindrical connector comprises an externally threaded cylindrical surface that is engaged with a threaded recess on one of the exercise equipment and the resistance weight. A viewing window transversely extends into the threaded recess so that an operator can visually determine that the elongated cylindrical connector is fully engaged with the threaded recess when the externally threaded cylindrical surface is visible through said viewing window and so that an operator can visually determine that the elongated cylindrical connector is not fully engaged with the threaded recess when the externally threaded surface is not visible through said viewing window.
FLIP AND GRIP HANDLE SYSTEM FOR LATERAL PULLDOWN EXERCISE MACHINE
A gripping assembly for a lateral pulldown exercise machine, having: a swivel link connected to a center mount, wherein the swivel link is adapted to be pivotally connected to a pulldown arm of a lateral pulldown exercise machine; an outwardly extending arm connected to the center mount for performing wide-angle grips; an inwardly extending arm connected to the center mount, wherein the inwardly extending arm is rotatable between a forwardly angled position and a backwardly pointing position; and a climb hold attached to the center mount.
