METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ANALYSING ACTIVITY PERFORMANCE OF USERS THROUGH SMART MIRROR
This disclosure relates to method and system for analyzing activity performance of a user in real-time through a smart mirror. The method includes capturing in real-time multimedia data of current activity performance of the user; processing in real-time the captured multimedia data to determine a set of user performance parameters and an estimated future field of view of the user relative to the smart mirror; generating in real-time a pose skeletal model based on the estimated future field of view and the estimated future pose and motion of the user; augmenting a reflection of the user on the smart mirror with one of the pose skeletal model and the plurality of key points overlayed on top of the reflection; comparing the set of user performance parameters with a set of target activity performance parameters; and generating feedback for the user based on the comparing.
EXERCISE IMPROVEMENT INSTRUCTION DEVICE, EXERCISE IMPROVEMENT INSTRUCTION METHOD, AND EXERCISE IMPROVEMENT INSTRUCTION PROGRAM
An exercise improvement guidance device includes: a hierarchical index storage unit that stores hierarchized indexes for improvement of an exercise motion; a problem index identification unit that evaluates the hierarchized indexes based on measurement data during an exercise and identifies a problem index; and a guidance information generating unit that generates guidance information for improvement of the problem index identified by the problem index identification unit. With the exercise improvement guidance device, a problem that leads to effective improvement of exercise motions can be identified, and the guidance information can be generated.
SPORTS TRAINING AID
A method for providing an enhanced sports training experience comprising providing a user with a wearable near-eye display, capturing an image in a user's field of vision, detecting the presence of a basketball hoop in the image, the basketball hoop having an associated backboard, using an image processor to determine a three dimensional position of the hoop relative to the near-eye display, calculating an ideal trajectory between the user and the hoop, whereby a basketball following the trajectory will pass through the basketball hoop, determining the apex of the trajectory, and displaying on the near-eye display, a visual graphic at the trajectory apex, the visual graphic representing a target.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING FUNCTIONALITY TO RACE OTHER ATHLETES ASYNCHRONOUSLY
Systems and methods are described for providing asynchronous race functionality and simulation for users of exercise equipment. In some aspects fitness performance data may be obtained, corresponding to performance of a race course by a user using exercise equipment, where the fitness performance data is sampled at a sample rate selected based on a type of the exercise equipment. The fitness data may then be modified and used to simulate the user performing the race course by providing the movement data to and concurrently with a second user performing the race course using second exercise equipment.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ATHLETIC MOTION ANALYSIS AND INSTRUCTION
A system and method for analyzing and improving the performance of a body motion of an animal or human subject requires instrumenting a subject with inertial sensors, monitoring a body motion of interest, converting sensor data into motion data and animation, comparing the motion data with existing data for motion related performance parameters, providing a real-time, information rich, animation and data display of the results in color coded displays; and based on the results prescribing a training regime with exercises selected from a library of standardized exercises using standardized tools and training aids.
A REHABILITATION DEVICE AND A METHOD OF MONITORING HAND MOVEMENT
A rehabilitation device is for monitoring hand movement of a user in which one or both forearms are supported on a forearm support region of a support, and an upward facing camera is mounted with a field of view forwards beyond the front of the forearm support to capture an image of the hand or hands, which extend in front of the forearm support region. This avoids the need for the user to wear a sensor glove but also enables a compact system without needing an overhead camera or a large table arrangement.
EXOSUIT SYSTEM SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSISTING, RESISTING AND ALIGNING CORE BIOMECHANICAL FUNCTIONS
Exosuit systems and methods according to various embodiments are described herein. The exosuit system can be a suit that is worn by a wearer on the outside of his or her body. It may be worn under the wearer's normal clothing, over their clothing, between layers of clothing, or may be the wearer's primary clothing itself. The exosuit may be assistive, as it physically assists the wearer in performing particular activities, or can provide other functionality such as communication to the wearer through physical expressions to the body, engagement of the environment, or capturing of information from the wearer.
SCORING METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EXERCISE COURSE
A scoring method for exercise course is provided and includes: playing a course video, obtaining coach exercise data corresponding to the course video, and obtaining a coach window from the coach exercise data; obtaining user exercise data through an inertial measurement unit, and obtaining a user window from the user exercise data in which the length of the user window is longer than that of the coach window; finding a user segment of the user window that is most similar to the coach window; calculating an exercise score according to stabilities of the user segment and the coach window for a first exercise type; and calculating the exercise score based on the difference between the user segment and the coach window by a deduction mechanism for a second exercise type.
REFLECTIVE VIDEO DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR INTERACTIVE TRAINING AND DEMONSTRATION AND METHODS OF USING SAME
An interactive exercise method includes streaming exercise content to an interactive video system for display via a mirror, the exercise content including a depiction of an instructor performing a repetitive movement. A video stream of a user performing the repetitive movement is received, via a camera of the interactive video system, and the user is detected in the video stream. The user or a body portion thereof is tracked in the video stream as the user performs the repetitive movement. The method also includes generating a measure of a difference between a form of the user performing the repetitive movement and a predetermined form for the repetitive movement. A corrective movement is displayed to the user, via the display and during the display of the instructor performing the repetitive movement, based on the measure, to conform the form of the user to the predetermined form for the repetitive movement.
Method and system for automated personal training
Example embodiments may relate to a system, method, apparatus, and computer readable media configured for monitoring a user performing an exercise and generating a avatar of the user and a virtual shadow, wherein the virtual shadow illustrates proper form of the exercise. The example embodiments may further be configured for determining an amount of overlap between the virtual avatar and the virtual shadow, and generating a feedback score based on the amount of overlap.
