HAND CRIMP TOOL HAVING WIRE INSERTER
A hand crimp tool includes a handle having upper and lower handles having upper and lower handgrips hand squeezed to close the hand crimp tool. The hand crimp tool includes a head having upper and lower jaws defining a crimp zone therebetween. The lower jaw includes an anvil holding a terminal and the upper jaw includes a crimper crimping the terminal. The hand crimp tool includes a wire inserter coupled to the head having a carriage movable between an advanced position and a retracted position. The wire inserter has a wire clamp holding a wire in the carriage and the wire inserter moves the wire relative to the head to position and hold the wire in the terminal during crimping of the terminal between the anvil and the crimper.
Range taking die set
A cable compression die assembly is used in connection with a compression tool for compressing a stranded cable prior to crimping. The cable compression die assembly includes a pair of cable compression die heads for receiving a stranded cable and a cable connector therebetween. The pair of cable compression die heads defines a hexagonal shaped opening therebetween and is adapted to substantially close the hexagonal shaped opening as the die heads move towards one another.
Method of manufacturing connection structure, wire harness, and device for manufacturing connection structure
To provide a method and a device for manufacturing a connection structure (1) and a wire harness (2). The connection structure connects an insulated wire (100) comprising a wire tip portion (103), an insulating covering (102) being stripped from the tip thereof, to a crimp terminal (200) comprising a closed-barrel-type crimping portion (230) allowing crimp connection with the wire tip portion (103) and has stable conductivity by crimping an aluminum core wire (101) by the crimping portion (230). The method comprises a carrier cutting step for separating crimp terminals (200) from a terminal connecting belt (300) comprising the crimp terminals (200) attached to a carrier (250) in a longitudinal direction, a wire insertion step for inserting wire tip portions (103) into the crimping portions (230) of the separated crimp terminals (200), and a crimping step for crimping the crimping portions (230) with the inserted wire tip portions (103).
Device and method for connecting a cable and a connector ensuring the continuity of the electromagnetic shielding
A device for joining the end (3a) of a shielded coaxial cable (3) and a metal connector (10), the cable including a peripheral metal braid (4) and an axial conductor (2), and including a conductive overmoulding (5) that at least partially surrounds the end of the shielded cable (3) and one end of the connector (10), the overmoulding making contact with the metal braid (4) and the connector (10), so as to ensure the continuity of the electromagnetic shielding of the connection. A method for producing such a connection is also described.
DIE CLEARANCE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR A CRIMPING DEVICE
A die clearance monitoring system includes a light source, a light detector, and a controller. The light source is disposed along a front side of a die set of a crimping device and emits light towards the die set. The die set includes a first crimp die and a second crimp die that engage and crimp an object along a crimp stroke. The light detector is disposed along a rear side of the die set. The light detector receives the emitted light from the light source that traverses across the die set through a gap defined between the first and second crimp dies and generates light absorption data based on the emitted light that is received. The controller is communicatively connected to the light detector. The controller processes the light absorption data to determine a relative spacing between the first crimp die and the second crimp die.
Terminal crimping device
A terminal crimping device includes a terminal feeding device, a crimping device and an electric-wire holding mechanism that holds an electric wire with an end portion of the electric wire placed above an electric-wire connecting portion of a crimp terminal. The electric-wire holding mechanism includes an upper surface of a terminal cutting body, on which the electric wire is placed, and an electric-wire presser that is moved downward toward the upper surface and presses and thereby holds the electric wire placed on the upper surface. Between the electric-wire placing portion and a lower surface of the electric-wire presser, an electric-wire holding space is formed that inclines in the same direction to a declining direction in which the end portion of the electric wire is declined in association with downward move of the second die toward the first die, and that holds the electric wire in a thus inclined state.
Dieless crimp head with positioning devices for crimp connectors
A dieless crimp head is provided that includes a frame, an indentor, and a first positioning device. The frame has a first frame shell and a second frame shell, which define a frame opening. The indentor converges on a crimp center within the frame opening. The first positioning device has a connector slot defining a connector receipt area. The first positioning device is removably secured in the frame opening of the first frame shell at a use position in which the connector receipt area and the crimp center are aligned with, but offset along, a longitudinal axis of the crimp head.
