In one embodiment of the invention, a novelty bag is provided that includes at least one panel connected to a bottom panel, and least one handle connected to the panel. There is at least one orifice in the at least one panel, and the orifice is adapted to receive a lighting element. A pouch is also connected to the panel, and a light module and a sound module are disposed within the pouch. The pouch includes at least one slit adapted to allow sound to travel through the pouch. An activation mechanism is disposed within the at least one handle, and the activation mechanism is in electrical communication with the light module and the sound module.

A jewelry box includes a lower box component; a diamond supported on the lower box component and having a blue fluorescence; an upper box component hinged to the lower box component for swinging between an opened position and a closed position, the upper box component being coupled to the lower box component at the closed position for covering the diamond, the upper box component exposing the diamond at the opened position; and a light source supported on the lower part or the upper part, the light source emitting an ultraviolet radiation toward the diamond when the upper box component is moved from the closed position. An apparatus includes a container, a plurality of lights and a circuit. The container may comprise an outer shell comprising a material configured to protect contents of the apparatus and an inner surface. The outer shell may be configured to open to enable the contents to be placed on the inner surface. A cavity may be formed within the container when the outer shell is closed. The plurality of lights implemented on the inner surface may each be configured to adjust a characteristic of light output in response to a signal. The circuit may be configured to generate the signal in response to an input. The circuit may be implemented between the outer shell and the inner surface. A reactive material of the contents of the container may be configured to change appearance in response to the characteristic of light.

The present invention is designed to allow for complete customization of a flexible item, e.g. a modular handbag system. The invention can therefore be outfitted for multi-uses, such as a personal handbag, diaper bag, backpack, insulated cooler, storage tote, satchel, laptop and work bag, or a gym bag among other uses, with handles or shoulder strap or other carrying options as applicable. Finally, the power delivery system can be applied to a variety of soft goods, most notably: clothing, outdoor gear, home furnishing covers, and personal accessories.

Some implementations of this disclosure provide an electronically customizable article comprising a fashion article selected from the group consisting of a handbag, a shoe, glasses, a tie, and a bowtie wherein the fashion article comprises an electronic visual display, a processor, a communication interface for communication between the fashion article and a network, and a non-transitory computer readable medium containing instructions that, when executed by the processor, causes the fashion article to connect to a server over the network, receive data from the server, and display one or more images associated with the data on the electronic visual display.

A removable storage pouch includes a pouch having a closeable opening providing access to an inner volume and three pouch attachment points coupled to an exterior side of the pouch. The removable storage pouch also includes a connector assembly having three corresponding pouch attachment points and two surface attachment points. Further, the removable storage pouch includes a removable light assembly operatively coupled to an inner surface of the pouch within the inner volume. A representative embodiment of a lighting system includes a carrying bag having a first opening with a control panel cover; a mounting bracket arranged in the carrying bag; a power supply coupled to or arranged on the mounting bracket; a control panel arranged within the first opening and coupled to the mounting bracket; a first flexible light strip; a second flexible light strip; and a power cable coupleable within the carrying bag to the control panel, the first flexible light strip, and the second flexible light strip. The first and second flexible light strips are coupleable to the power cable to receive DC power from the control panel, and may be extended throughout a structure, such as a tent, using a plurality of hangers. In a representative embodiment, the first flexible light strip provides white light and the second flexible light strip provides blackout light.
