Method for producing golf ball
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for obtaining a golf ball having excellent impact durability. The present invention provides a method for producing a golf ball, comprising a first step of kneading (a) a base rubber, (b) an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms and/or a metal salt thereof as a co-crosslinking agent, (c) a crosslinkable compound having two or more polymerizable unsaturated bonds in a molecule thereof, and (d) a crosslinking initiator to prepare a core rubber composition; a second step of producing the spherical core from the core rubber composition at a molding temperature in a range from 100° C. to 150° C.; and a third step of molding the at least one cover layer covering the spherical core on the spherical core.
GOLF BALL WITH SOFTER FEEL AND HIGHER IRON SPIN
A golf ball comprising: (a) a core; (b) at least one mantle layer adjacent to the core; (c) an inner cover layer adjacent to the mantle layer; and (d) an outer cover layer adjacent to the inner cover layer, wherein the inner cover layer has a material Shore D hardness that is at least 3 less than the material Shore D hardness of the outer cover layer, and the inner cover layer has a thickness of less than 0.050 in.
Graphene core golf ball with an integrated circuit
A golf ball with a core comprising polybutadiene and graphene with an embedded IC is disclosed herein. The golf ball preferably has a single core comprising polybutadiene and graphene. Alternatively, the golf ball has a dual core with an inner core comprising polybutadiene and graphene. Alternatively, the golf ball has a dual core with an outer core comprising polybutadiene and graphene.
Graphene Core For A Golf Ball
A golf ball with a core comprising polybutadiene and graphene is disclosed herein. The golf ball has a single core comprising polybutadiene and graphene. Alternatively, the golf ball has a dual core with an inner core comprising polybutadiene and graphene. Alternatively, the golf ball has a dual core with an outer core comprising polybutadiene and graphene.
Golf ball
An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having excellent shot feeling while maintaining the resilience performance on driver shots. The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a core and at least one cover covering the core, wherein the core is formed from a core rubber composition containing (a) a base rubber, (b) an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid having 3 to 8 carbon atoms and/or a metal salt thereof as a co-crosslinking agent, (c) a crosslinking initiator, and (d) a monophenol compound having a substituent group only at p-position.
Golf ball and method of making same
Golf ball comprising a core, an outer layer and at least one adhesion promoting coating disposed between each of the core and the outer layer; the core comprising a rubber composition comprising at least one zinc-containing and/or magnesium-containing component; the outer layer comprising at least one ionomer; and the adhesion promoting coating comprising a waterborne dispersion comprised of at least one ethylene acid copolymer having an acid content of at least 15% by weight wherein the copolymer is at least partially neutralized with one or more neutralizing agent; wherein at least one neutralizing agent is selected from ammonia compounds and/or amine compounds. In a specific embodiment, the at least one neutralizing agent comprises i) mono and/or divalent metal compounds and ii) ammonia compounds and/or amine compounds.
GOLF BALL
In a golf ball for professional golfers and skilled amateurs which has a single-layer core, a cover and at least one intermediate layer therebetween, the sphere obtained by encasing the core with the intermediate layer (intermediate layer-encased sphere) and the ball have a surface hardness relationship therebetween which satisfies the condition:
(surface hardness of intermediate layer-encased sphere)>(surface hardness of ball).
Moreover, the core has a diameter of from 35.5 to 39.5 mm and a unique hardness profile that satisfies certain specific conditions. This ball is endowed with both an excellent flight performance and a good durability to repeated impact.
Use of an impact modifier in a low compression golf ball
A golf ball with improved durability is disclosed herein. The golf ball has a core comprising a polybutadiene material and methyl methacrylate, butadiene, styrene (MBS) with a weight percentage of MBS ranging from 0.5 to 5 weight percent of the core.
Rubber composition for golf ball, and golf ball
A rubber composition for golf balls includes (a) a base rubber, (b) a co-crosslinking agent which is an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof, (c) a crosslinking initiator, and (d) an alcohol having a value obtained by dividing the molecular weight of the alcohol by the number of hydroxyl groups thereon which is 70 or less. When the rubber composition is used in a golf ball having a core and a cover of one or more layers encasing the core, by setting the hardness difference in the core interior hardness profile to a large value while maintaining a desired core hardness, low spin properties can be manifested on golf ball shots, enabling the flight performance of the ball to be improved.
Golf ball with improved durability
A golf ball with improved durability is disclosed herein. The golf ball has a mantle layer comprising a blend of ionomers and methyl methacrylate, butadiene, styrene (MBS) with a weight percentage of MBS ranging from 5 to 15 weight percent of the mantle layer.
