An adjustable coaxial cable compression tool, terminating a coaxial cable connector onto a coaxial cable end, comprising a plunger, a body, a fixed guideway plate, a first moveable guideway plate, a second moveable guideway plate, and a die block is provided. The plunger comprises a first plunger head and a second plunger head, both having different shapes conforming to different types of coaxial cable connectors and are interchangeable. The body has a body receiving end, wherein the plunger is slidable therein. The fixed, first moveable and second moveable guideway plates have fixed, first and second guideways, each having different diameters, respectively. The die block comprises first and second die halves. The plunger is axially advanced to force the coaxial cable connector onto the coaxial cable end, radially contracting the coaxial cable connector into compression engagement with the coaxial cable end.
Twist-on wire connector and application tool therefor
A twist-on wire connector is releasably engageable with a tool. The connector and the tool are provided with complimentary driving features which allow the tool to be moved independent of and relative to the connector when the tool is moved in one rotational direction and which place the tool and connector into driving engagement when the tool is moved in the opposite rotational direction such that the connector is moved with the tool to apply the connector onto a plurality of electrical conductors. The complimentary driving features are provided to the tool and the connector by providing to each of the tool and the connector one or more engagement surfaces positioned adjacent to a slipping surface.
COMPRESSION TOOL WITH REVERSIBLE BLOCK
A compression tool for fastening a cable to a connector comprising an elongated tool frame, an anvil secured to one end of the tool frame, a compression plunger slidable along a portion of the tool frame, a handle set adapted to move the compression plunger toward and away from the anvil and a spacer block for securing the connector a distance from the anvil. The handle set may include a first handle movable from a first position wherein the plunger is a first distance from the anvil to a second position wherein the plunger is a second distance from the anvil. The spacer block may include a first end and a second end having a different depth from the first end and be rotatable so that the first end when rotated to the active position secures the connector a first distance from the anvil and the second end, when rotated to the active position secures the connector a second distance from the anvil.
Method for using compression tool with reversible block
A method is provided where a compression tool is used for fastening a cable to a connector comprising an elongated tool frame, an anvil secured to one end of the tool frame, a compression plunger slidable along a portion of the tool frame, a handle set adapted to move the compression plunger toward and away from the anvil and a spacer block for securing the connector a distance from the anvil.
Universal compact compression tool
A universal compact compression tool includes a vise assembly having different sets of jaws. The different sets of jaws are for holding different connectors during installation on a cable. A shaft on the tool is mounted to move between advanced and retracted positions with respect to the vise assembly. On the shaft, a plunger is mounted to move between first and second positions. In the first position of the plunger, the plunger is advanced on the shaft. In the second position of the plunger, the plunger is retracted on the shaft. The user sets the plunger in either the first or the second position depending on the type of connector to be installed on the cable. Once selected, and with the connector in the vise assembly, the user closes a lever of the tool to move the shaft to the advanced position, thereby applying the connector to the cable.
Crimping tool
Crimping tool including a first tool part having a first crimping die and a plurality of first crimping elements, a second tool part having a second crimping die and a plurality of second crimping elements, a first actuator being movable relative to the first crimping die along an actuation axis perpendicular to a longitudinal axis, wherein the first actuator actuates the first crimping elements moving the first crimping elements in a radial direction, and a second actuator being movable relative to the second crimping die along the actuation axis, wherein the second actuator actuates the second crimping elements moving the second crimping elements in a radial direction, wherein a subset of the first crimping elements and a subset of the second crimping elements are moved consecutively by moving the first actuator and second actuator.
Magazine for processing wire end ferrules
A magazine for processing wire end ferrules, which are connected to one another via connection pieces to form a wire end ferrule strip, having a housing with at least one housing base and an inlet opening for introducing the wire end ferrule strip. A transport wheel is rotatably mounted in the housing and has multiple recesses for receiving individual wire end ferrules of a wire end ferrule strip, neighboring recesses separated from one another by a rim. An opening is formed in the housing base and the wire end ferrules can be successively brought into an assembly position via a rotation of the transport wheel to a position in which a wire end ferrule is arranged above the opening and a connection piece between the wire end ferrule and the neighboring wire end ferrule is at least partially cut through by the rim of the corresponding recess.
CRIMPING HAND TOOL
A crimping hand tool used for crimping a coaxial cable and a coaxial terminal together is provided. The crimping hand tool includes a first body, a second body pivoted to the first body, a first linking body having a first end pivoted to the second body and a second end, a second linking body having a third end pivoted to the first body and a fourth end, a third linking body having a fifth end and a sixth end, a moving assembly, and a crimping assembly, wherein the second, the fourth, and the sixth ends are pivoted coaxially. The moving assembly is pivoted to the fifth end and slidably coupled to the first body along an axial direction. The crimping assembly is disposed on and moves along with the moving assembly to crimp the coaxial cable and the coaxial terminal together.
TERMINAL CRIMP TOOL
A terminal crimp tool includes a first unit, a second unit, a third unit, multiple reinforcement rings, multiple pins and multiple C-clips. The first, second and third units are pivotably connected to each other by the restriction unit. The first, second and third units each have a pivotal hole defined in overlapped positions, and each pivotal hole is forcibly fitted with one reinforcement ring to reinforce the strength of the plates of the first, second and third units. The pins extend through the plates of the first, second and third units to ensure that the first, second and third units are pivoted smoothly and precisely so as to deform the terminals of wires or cables.
Method for Installing a Pulling Head Assembly
A workstation and method for the installation of a pulling head assembly onto one or more conductors of a cabling system are provided. The workstation incorporates one or more of: a conductor clamp that holds the conductors of the cabling system in place during the installation of the pulling head assembly; a cutting guide having indicia marks that indicate the lengths to which to cut the conductors in order to achieve a staggered pattern of pulling eyes attached to the conductors in the pulling head assembly; a stripping tool that is used to remove a portion of the insulation from the terminal end of each conductor so that the end of the conductor may be inserted into the pulling eye; and a crimping tool that is used to crimp the pulling eyes onto the terminal ends of each of the conductors.
