The elongated base can have a proximal end, a midway point, and a distal end, wherein the proximal end of the elongated base can be attached to at least a portion of the proximal end of the mounting plate and the midway point can create a proximal half and a distal half of the elongated base. A first of the two living hinges can be located between the proximal end and the midway point of the elongated base. A second of the two living hinges can be located between the first living hinge and the midway point of the elongated base. The two living hinges can be parallel to each other and can pivot in the same direction.

A display and storage case configured to exhibit a display element or store the display element is disclosed herein. The display and storage case includes a set of three flanged plates hingedly connected to each other, where one of the plates is foldable to conform across the other two plates. Two of the plates are inclinedly erected, and a display element is inclinedly attachable on to one of the inclinedly erected plates, to exhibit the display element on the inclined plate. Then, the display element is secured on to one of the plates, and the other two plates are closed to secure the display element therewithin. The set of three flanged plates includes a first plate, a second plate and a third plate hingedly connected to each other, where the length of the first plate is a summation of the length of the second plate and the third plate.

A grooved case construction selectively encases and displays an electronic device, and includes a grooved device-holding mechanism and either a panel assembly or a kickstand element made structurally cooperable with the device-holding mechanism. The device-holding mechanism is sized and shaped to removably receive an electronic device, and provides an anterior device-receiving section and a posterior component interface. The posterior component interface includes at least one, but preferably a plurality of component-receiving grooves for providing a grooved pattern. Both the panel assembly and the kickstand couple to the posterior component interface via the grooved pattern and may be so coupled in any number of orientations for providing the user with any number of options for displaying the device-holding mechanism. When outfitted with a panel assembly, a cover panel may selectively either cover the anterior device-receiving section or provide support for the device-holding mechanism.

The magnets in both the first and second set of magnets are arranged with alternating magnetic polarity. As the case assembly is placed on top of the mounting assembly, the magnets in the mounting assembly will attract magnets with opposite polarities in the case assembly. A user may detach the case assembly from the mounting assembly by rotating the case assembly such that the magnets in the case assembly are now adjacent to magnets in the mounting assembly of the same polarity.
