GOLF BALL
A golf ball for amateur golfers is endowed with both an excellent flight and a good, solid feel at impact when hit by the average amateur golfer having a fast head speed. The golf ball, which includes a core and a cover, has a compressive deformation A when subjected to a final load of 5 kgf from an initial load of 0.2 kgf that is 0.18 mm or less, a compressive deformation B when subjected to a final load of 50 kgf from an initial load of 5 kgf that is from 0.85 to 1.16 mm and a compressive deformation C when subjected to a final load of 90 kgf from an initial load of 5 kgf that is from 1.90 to 2.25 mm.
GOLF BALL
An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having excellent shot feeling and durability. The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a constituent member containing a crosslinked rubber component and resin fine particles, wherein the resin fine particles contain a polyrotaxane component having a cyclodextrin, a linear molecule piercing through the cyclic structure of the cyclodextrin, and blocking groups located at both terminals of the linear molecule to prevent disassociation of the cyclodextrin, wherein at least a part of hydroxyl groups of the cyclodextrin is modified with a caprolactone chain via a OC.sub.3H.sub.6O group.
GOLF BALL
A golf ball for amateur golfers is endowed with both an excellent flight and a good, soft feel at impact when hit by the average golfer whose head speed is not very high. The golf ball, which includes a core and a cover, has a compressive deformation A when subjected to a final load of 5 kgf from an initial load of 0.2 kgf that is 0.18 mm or less, a compressive deformation B when subjected to a final load of 50 kgf from an initial load of 5 kgf that is from 1.30 to 1.69 mm and a compressive deformation C when subjected to a final load of 90 kgf from an initial load of 5 kgf that is from 2.45 to 2.90 mm.
Graphene core for a golf ball with a soft cover
A golf ball with a core comprising polybutadiene and graphene, and a soft cover is disclosed herein. The golf ball has a dual core with an outer core comprising polybutadiene and graphene. The soft cover is preferably composed of a highly neutralized polymer, a first ionomer, a second ionomer, and a paraloid impact modifier.
Golf ball with improved durability
A golf ball with improved durability is disclosed herein. The golf ball has a mantle layer comprising a blend of ionomers and methyl methacrylate, butadiene, styrene (MBS) with a weight percentage of MBS ranging from 5 to 15 weight percent of the mantle layer.
Carbon black core for a golf ball
A golf ball with an outer core comprising a polybutadiene material and a carbon black material in an amount ranging from 0.1 to 10.0 weight percent of the outer core is disclosed herein. The golf ball may have multiple layers. A preferred embodiment of a golf ball comprises a dual core, a mantle layer and a cover.
A GOLF BALL COMPRISING A VERY-LOW MELT FLOW INNER COVER LAYER COMPOSITION
A golf ball including a core; an inner cover layer formed from a first thermoplastic composition and having a thickness of about 0.005 inches to 0.40 inches and a surface hardness of about 60 Shore D or greater; and an outer cover layer formed from a thermoplastic polyurethane material and having a thickness of about 0.01 inches to 0.075 inches and a surface hardness of about 60 Shore D or less. The thermoplastic composition has a first melt flow index at 280 C. under a 10-kg load of less than about 35 g/10 min and a second melt flow index at 265 C. under a 5-kg load of less than about 10 g/10 min.
GOLF BALL WITH SOFT FEEL
A golf ball comprising: (a) a core; (b) an inner mantle layer; (c) an intermediate mantle layer; (d) an outer mantle layer; and (e) at least one cover layer; wherein the core has a PGA compression of less than 70, and the core/inner mantle layer/intermediate mantle layer combined construct has a PGA compression of at least 30.
MULTI-PIECE SOLID GOLF BALL
A multi-piece solid golf ball having a two-layer core with an inner core layer and an outer core layer and having a cover of at least two layers including an intermediate layer and an outer layer with numerous dimples on the surface is characterized in that the hardest cover layer has a specific material hardness and the ball has a specific value obtained by subtracting the surface hardness of the overall core from the surface hardness of the hardest cover layer, a specific deflection, and a specific value obtained by subtracting the initial velocity of the inner core layer from the initial velocity of the sphere consisting of the inner core layer encased by the outer core layer. This golf ball enables relatively low head speed golfers to achieve a good distance on full shots with drivers and iron clubs and also provides a soft, comfortable feel at impact.
GOLF BALL
