Releasable and interchangeable connections for golf club heads and shafts
Golf club heads are releasably engaged with shafts so that the club heads and shafts can be readily interchanged and/or so that the shaft position with respect to the club head can be readily changed. Assemblies for connecting the club head and shaft may include: a shaft adapter, a collet, a ferrule, and a club head having an interior chamber. The club head and shaft may be changed by releasing the securing system and exchanging the original parts with different parts.
Adjustable connector
According to one aspect of the present invention there is provided an adjustable connector including at least two parts, each having a main body with a bore having a longitudinal axis therein, wherein an external surface of the main body of a first part is configured to bear against an internal surface of the bore of a second part when the first part is at least partially inserted into the bore of the second part to form a connection, characterized in that the positioning of the bores with respect to the main bodies is such that when the parts are connected to each other, rotation of one part with respect to the other changes the inclination of the longitudinal axes of the bores with respect to one another.
Golf putter with constrainded lie angle adjustability
Disclosed are systems and methods of adjusting the playing orientation of the head of a golf club. An adjustment to the axis of the shaft in reference to the vertical plane is constrained within minimum and maximum limits, so as to conform to current and proposed changes to the United States Golf Association (USGA) rules of play. The fine adjustment within these constraints cannot be readily made, and all adjustable parts are firmly fixed, so there is no reasonable likelihood of them working loose during a round. The adjustments to the club are designed such that during a stipulated round, the playing characteristics of a club cannot be purposely changed by adjustment or by other means.
Golf club
This golf club includes a shaft, a golf club head, a first adapter, a second adapter, and a fixing member that fixes the first adapter in an interior space of a hosel portion. The shaft is configured to be coupled with an inclination relative to the coupling portion of the first adapter, and the first adapter is configured to be coupled with an inclination relative to the second adapter.
Golf Club Head with Adjustable Fitting Mechanisms
Embodiments of golf clubs with adjustable loft, lie, head mass and methods of manufacturing golf clubs with adjustable loft, lie, and head mass are generally described herein. Other embodiments can be described and claimed.
Golf club head
Disclosed herein is a golf club head comprising at least one crown opening and at least one crown insert attached to the body and covering the at least one crown opening. The golf club head further comprises at least one sole opening and at least one sole insert attached to the body and covering the at least one sole opening. The golf club head additionally includes at least one weight member configured to clamp first and second ledges at selected locations along a sliding weight track. The golf club head also comprise a coefficient of restitution (COR) feature located on the sole of the golf club head. The at least one crown insert is formed from a composite material having a density between 1 g/cc and 2 g/cc. The at least one sole insert is formed from a composite material having a density between 1 g/cc and 2 g/cc.
Golf Putter Head with Maximized Fore-Aft Weighting and Vertical Sweetspot
This invention maximizes the distribution of mass of the club head to the front and back of the club head to maximize the sweetspot vertically. Mass is concentrated in front and back bars. Mass is minimized in between the bars by use of light weight tubes, one at the heel and one at the toe, that connect the front and back bars to each other. A screw inside each tube cinches the bars against the tubes. A hosel is on the heel tube. The lie of the club is adjustable by loosening the heel side cinching screw which allows the heel tube to turn against the bars. Forward press is adjustable by loosening set screws and turning the bent golf shaft in the hosel. Weights can be added and removed within the tubes to adjust the club head weight.
PUTTER INCLUDING INTERCHANGEABLE SLEEVE MECHANISM CAPABLE OF EASILY REPLACING AND MOUNTING SHAFT
Disclosed is a putter including an interchangeable sleeve mechanism capable of easily replacing and mounting a shaft, the putter comprising a main body part, a downward extension part, a blade formation part having a plate-shaped structure which extends to a predetermined length rearward from a lower end of the downward extension part and has an area having a predetermined size, a plurality of weight mounting grooves disposed to be spaced a certain interval from each other in an upper surface or a side surface of the blade formation part and configured to bind weights in a detachable structure, and a sleeve mechanism mounted in a structure detachably attached to the binding groove of the main body part, having a block structure extending to a predetermined height upward, and formed with a shaft binding fastening hole recessed to a predetermined depth in an upper end surface.
Configurable golf putter head assembly
A golf putter head assembly includes a putter head and a two-part hosel detachably mounted to the putter head by a single removable fastener. The two-part hosel includes a lower intermediate connector extending upwardly from the putter head, and an upper shaft connector extending upwardly from the intermediate connector. The fastener extends through a crown-to-sole through-bore formed in the putter head, through a longitudinal through-bore formed in the intermediate connector, and into a blind bore formed in a lower member of the shaft connector. An upper member of the shaft connector is mountable to a putter shaft. The upper member is angled relative to the lower member to define a shaft-head lie angle, and is offset from the lower member to define a shaft-head offset distance. The intermediate connector has a selected length that establishes a shaft-head balance characteristic. A kit and a method are also disclosed.
