DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING SERIES OF GOLF CLUBS AND SERIES OF GOLF CLUBS THUS ADJUSTED
The invention relates to a method for adjusting a series of golf clubs each comprising a shaft, a head at the proximal end of the shaft and a grip at the distal end of the shaft; said method comprising the following steps: adjusting the mass of the head of each golf club and/or, adjusting the mass of the shaft near the distal end of the shaft, such that each golf club has a substantially identical moment of inertia; then adjusting the mass of the grip of each golf club and/or adjusting the mass of the shaft near the proximal end of the shaft, such that each golf club has a substantially identical swingweight. The invention also relates to a series of golf clubs adjusted using the method according to the invention.
GOLF CLUB HEAD
A golf club head includes a body defining an interior cavity. The body includes a sole positioned at a bottom portion of the golf club head, a crown positioned at a top portion, and a skirt positioned around a periphery between the sole and crown. The body has a forward portion and a rearward portion. The club head includes a face positioned at the forward portion of the body. In some embodiments, the crown includes a lattice-like structure having thin regions surrounded by a web of relatively thicker regions. In some embodiments, the club head includes one or more stiffening tubes attached between the sole and the crown to improve the acoustic performance of the golf club head.
Adjustable golf club
An adjustable golf club. The adjustable golf club has a shaft that can selectively secure to a club head. The shaft includes an elongated member which incorporates a first plurality of splines along the elongated member. A club head is removably secured to the shaft by mating the first plurality of splines of the elongated member with a second plurality of splines in an interior cavity of the club head. The angle of the club head can be adjusted through the selective mating of the first plurality of splines of the elongated member to the second plurality of splines of the head. In one embodiment the shaft is further secured to the club head by a quick release system. In another embodiment the length of the shaft can be selectively adjusted.
GOLF CLUB HEAD HAVING AN ADJUSTABLE WEIGHTING SYSTEM
A golf club head includes a club body having a crown opposite a sole, a toe end opposite a heel end, a back end, and a hosel. The golf club head also includes an adjustable weighting system positioned on the club body, the adjustable weighting system includes a single channel and a member that is received by the single channel and fastened to the club body, where a plurality of weights are coupled to the member. The golf club head can additionally or alternatively include a face angle adjustment system positioned on the sole, the face angle adjustment system includes a member that is removably received by the single channel and fastened to the sole, the member includes a first end member and a second end member, wherein the member is configured to be repositioned within the channel to adjust a resting face angle of the golf club head.
GOLF CLUB HEAD
A golf club head including a crown defining the top surface of the club head and including a crown portion, a crown recess region formed in the crown portion and defined by a crown ledge and a bonding wall, and a crown insert disposed at least partially within the crown recess region. The size and uniformity of the junction between the crown insert and the bonding wall may be determined by measuring the dimensions of the junction at critical points on the club head.
Golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads
Examples of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a body portion of a golf club head may include a cavity having an opening and an internal structure defined by a wall portion and a base portion. A hosel portion may include an insert portion and a neck portion extending therefrom. The hosel portion may be attached to the body portion by an interference fit between the neck portion and the opening of the cavity. The insert portion may be received inside the cavity and may be spaced apart from the internal structure of the cavity. A space between the insert portion and the internal structure of the cavity may be partially or entirely filled with an adhesive to hold the hosel portion in place. Other examples may be described and claimed.
