A tool holder includes a support stand which provides support for a protective wall that at least in part defines an enclosure within which a tool may be stored, the protective wall including a sheet of heat resistant material which at least in part is selectively releasable from and securable to the support stand, the sheet of heat resistant material being a flexible sheet whereby in a first orientation it serves as the protective wall but at least in part may be released from the support stand to provide a substantially flat heat resistant mat on which to rest a heated tool during periods of use of the tool.

The present disclosure relates to hair styling apparatuses and related methods. The hair styling apparatus includes a heated barrel defining a hair styling surface and a central axis, and a rotating member disposed at an end of the hair styling surface. The rotating member is configured to rotate around the central axis of the heated barrel. The rotating member includes one or more retaining elements configured to retain the hair and wind the hair around the hair styling surface. The one or more retaining elements projects away from the hair styling surface.

A tool holder includes a body including a first half and a second half. The first half and the second half define an opening at a proximal end and an appliance cavity therebetween. A rotation element couples the first half of the body to the second half of the body. The first half and the second half are rotatable about an axis of rotation defined by the rotation element from a first configuration to a second configuration. In the first configuration the first half and the second half are in a facing relationship and define a cavity therebetween. In the second configuration the first half and the second half are in an end-to-end relationship and aligned on a longitudinal axis.

A hair care organizing apparatus includes a wall tap and an organizer unit attached to the wall tap. The wall tap has a plug that is inserted into a socket of an electrical outlet. The wall tap also has at least one electrical socket that receives a plug of an electrically-powered device. The organizer unit has at least first and second holders for receiving and supporting distinct hair care accessories. The first holder is intended for a hair dryer. In use, the hair dryer is plugged into the at least one electrical socket and inserted into the first holder to support the hair dryer from the organizer unit.

A barrel for a hair styling appliance, the barrel comprising: an external surface; and a heater-mounting surface inside the barrel; wherein the heater-mounting surface is integrally formed with the external surface. For example, the barrel may be formed as a single extruded metal component. Also provided is a barrel assembly comprising such a barrel, and one or more heater elements mounted on the heater-mounting surface. Also provided is a hair styling appliance (e.g. a curling tong, curling wand or hot iron brush) comprising such a barrel assembly. A heater element for a hair styling appliance is also provided, the heater element comprising a substrate having a conductive track for generating heat upon application of an electrical current thereto, and an integral temperature sensor. Manufacturing methods in respect of the above are also provided.

A barrel for a hair styling appliance, the barrel comprising: an external surface; and a heater-mounting surface inside the barrel; wherein the heater-mounting surface is integrally formed with the external surface. For example, the barrel may be formed as a single extruded metal component. Also provided is a barrel assembly comprising such a barrel, and one or more heater elements mounted on the heater-mounting surface. Also provided is a hair styling appliance (e.g. a curling tong, curling wand or hot iron brush) comprising such a barrel assembly. A heater element for a hair styling appliance is also provided, the heater element comprising a substrate having a conductive track for generating heat upon application of an electrical current thereto, and an integral temperature sensor. Manufacturing methods in respect of the above are also provided.

A protective cover for a hand-held heated instrument such as a curling iron or wand comprises a thin elastomeric sleeve of high-temperature polymer, for example silicon rubber. The sleeve may include features such as ridges, bumps, or through holes, and may be sized to fit snugly over the barrel of the heated instrument. The sleeve reduces heat conduction from hot surfaces of the instrument enough to prevent or reduce burns from momentary contact with bare skin, without noticeably altering the characteristics of the instrument for its intended purpose, such as curling or shaping hair.

A hair treatment system is provided and may comprise a sensor device having at least one condition sensor for capturing a hair condition parameter and/or an environmental parameter, and an electrical hair treatment device. A hair iron according to the present disclosure is configured to hold hair in a state in which a first hair holding surface and a second hair holding surface face each other. A first hair holder includes ion outlets configured to release ions generated by a discharge device. The discharge device includes a first electrode having a plurality of discharge electrodes. The first electrode includes an electrode body having a plate shape. The discharge electrodes are disposed on a side portion e end of the electrode body as the electrode body is viewed in a thickness direction thereof. The discharge electrodes include two types of discharge electrodes of which shapes are different from each other.

The invention relates to a cosmetic product refill (20) for a hair treatment device (1), comprising an applicator member (26) saturated with an aqueous composition, wherein the applicator member has a density of between 0.11 and 0.25 g/cm.sup.3 and the aqueous composition has a viscosity of between 4, preferably 5, and 100 centipoise, at 22 C. The invention also relates to a hair treatment device provided with such a refill.
