Hair styling device

The invention relates to a hair styling device, and in particular to a hair straightener. The hair styling device (10; 210) has a first arm (12; 212) and a second arm (14; 214), the first and second arms being moveable relative to one another between a closed or operative condition and an open or inoperative condition. The first member (12; 212) has a first heating panel (16; 116; 216) and the second member (14; 214) has a second heating panel (18; 118; 218). The heating panels (16, 18; 116, 118; 216, 218) are corrugated to increase the length of the path the hair must take between the heating panels. The first and second heating panels are spaced apart in the operative condition so as not to press or clamp the hair therebetween. The first member (12; 212) also has a first pressing panel (26; 126; 226) and the second member (14; 214) also has a second pressing panel (28; 128; 228), the first and second pressing panels in their operative position engaging so that the hair is pressed between the pressing panels.

HAIR STYLING DEVICE

A hair styling device is described, having first and second members that are movable relative to one another between a closed operative condition and an open inoperative condition. The first member has a first heating panel and the second member has a second heating panel, the heating panels being adapted to heat a length of hair as the length of hair moves along a heating path therebetween in use, and being spaced apart in the operative condition to avoid pressing or clamping the hair therebetween. The first member also has a first pressing panel and the second member has a second pressing panel. The pressing panels are substantially planar. The length of hair moves along a pressing path between the first and second pressing panels in use. The length of the heating path is greater than the length of the pressing path.

A hair treatment or styling apparatus adapted to impart a straightening and/or curling effect on hair includes both a novel thermally conductive construction and heating assembly, which conveys thermal energy uniformly to all areas of the treatment head such that the desired style is achieved regardless of the skill of the user. The apparatus further includes a hinge assembly incorporating one or more ceramic bearings units which provide smooth consistent resistance for pivoting movement of the treatment members and a more durable hinge joint thereby increasing the life and usability of the apparatus.

In a hair straightener comprising an elongate straightener arm (A) having a heating plate (H), the invention provides a pivot mechanism (2) for supporting the heating plate (H) in a pivotable manner around a pivot axis (P1) in a longitudinal direction of the elongate straightener arm (A). Preferably, the pivot axis (P1) is at a heating surface of the heating plate (H), or between a first heating plate of a first straightener arm and a second heating plate of a second straightener arm when the first straightener arm and the second straightener arm are in a relative position arranged for clamping hair. Advantageously, a bias mechanism (4) (e.g. a resilient member like some spring) biases the heating plate (H) to a neutral position.

HAIR BRUSH
20180325232 · 2018-11-15 · ·

A hair brush for use in a hairdressing store, a beauty shop, or at home, is able to easily and freely create a hair style by arranging frictional brush pins to a brush portion of the hair brush so that the hair is easily entangled around the brush portion. A plurality of frictional brush pins are aligned in line to form a frictional brush pin array in a longitudinal direction of the brush portion. Further, a plurality of frictional brush pin arrays are arranged in a circumferential direction of the brush portion at a predetermined interval. A constricted portion is formed between adjacent frictional brush pins so that the hair is entangled by the hair brush due to the constricted portion.

HAIR STYLING APPARATUS

The application describes hair styling apparatus (1) for creating volume in a user's hair. The hair styling apparatus (1) comprises a heating member, a cooling member adjacent to the heating member, thermal insulation between the cooling member and the heating member and a tensioning member projecting from the heating member. The heating member comprises a heating contacting surface for heating hair in contact with the heating member. The cooling member has a cooling contacting surface for cooling hair in contact with the cooling member and the cooling member is cooled by an active cooling mechanism. The tensioning member tensions a user's hair against the heating contacting surface to improve heat transfer into a user's hair and applies stress to a user's hair as the hair contacts the cooling contacting surface adjacent the heating contacting surface whereby the hair is styled to create volume.
