Systems and methods for generating user interface elements associated with a guided workout are disclosed herein. For example, by analyzing location data associated with a user device, along with digital content corresponding to the guided workout, the system may generate user interface elements including graphical representations, segmented timelines, and performance metrics associated with a user's progress and performance while consuming the guided workout content. These interface elements may be displayed to the user during and/or after the workout and may allow for user interaction to view varying levels of detail associated with the interface elements.

A sports signaling system comprises a manager unit and a player unit. The manager unit comprises an input device, a wireless transmitter, and a processor. The player unit comprises a wireless receiver, an output device, and a processor. The player unit is embedded in a chest protector worn by a catcher of a baseball game or a softball game. The chest protector comprises a shield protecting the player unit. The shield is made of a polycarbonate material. In one example, an entirety of the player unit is between an inner layer of the chest protector and an outer layer of the chest protector. The player unit does not contact the catcher.

The present invention is directed, in part, to a system and methods for combining newly designed cardiovascular equipment with the added features of an upper body weight training regimen in order to provide a user a full body workout, cardiovascular exercise and weight training simultaneously. The invention does so by employing either a weight tray apparatus configured to newly designed cardiovascular equipment or machine or through the use of an adjustable weight training apparatus combined with the newly designed cardiovascular equipment or machine. More specifically, the present invention relates to a system and methods for combining newly designed cardiovascular equipment including stationary and recumbent bikes, elliptical machines, treadmills and stair steppers, with a tray apparatus that allows a user to employ free weights. The invention further relates to a system and methods for combining newly designed cardiovascular equipment including stationary and recumbent bikes, elliptical machines, treadmills and stair steppers that are configured with an adjustable weight training apparatus that allows a user to build upper body muscle groups simultaneously with cardiovascular exercise, in effect, providing a full body workout.

A system and method for networking fitness machines for allowing an instructor to control various settings for a plurality of exercise machines simultaneously, and for allowing an individual user and/or trainer to modify the settings of an individual exercise machine. The system and method for networking fitness machines generally includes a trainer remote control device, one or more machine-mounted onboard trainer controllers, and a machine-mounted onboard user controller. The trainer remote control device may be securely mounted to the arm of a trainer so that the trainer's hands remain free to instruct exercisers. The trainer remote control device includes a touch screen that displays selections corresponding to various settings on the exercise machines. The trainer remote control communicates with the plurality of exercise machines via a wireless network or Bluetooth connection allowing the trainer to change the settings of a plurality of exercise machines in a class mode simultaneously.

In a first aspect, a method for monitoring a golf swing is provided that includes coupling a mobile telephone to a golf club and employing the mobile telephone coupled to the golf club to monitor acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings while a user swings the golf club, collect acceleration information based on the monitored acceleration of the mobile telephone as the mobile telephone swings, analyze the collected acceleration information to determine one or more characteristics of the golf swing based on the collected acceleration information, and output information regarding the one or more characteristics of the golf swing on the display of the mobile telephone. An electronic sideline marker for use in football comprises a first display configured to display an indication of a down and a second display configured to display one or more timers. The second display may be configured to display a play clock, a go-clock, and/or a throw-clock. A play clock may first be displayed, and the marker may then receive an indication (e.g., a button press) that the football has been snapped, at which point display of the play clock may be replaced with display of a go-clock. The marker may be configured to output indications when the play clock, go-clock, and/or throw-clock expire. The marker may be configured to electronically communicate with one or more other markers for use in the football game, or one or more other remote electronic devices such as sensors in flag football belts, flags, and/or footballs.
