Remote adaptive motor resistance training exercise apparatus and method of use thereof
The invention comprises a method and/or an apparatus using a computer configured exercise system equipped with an electric motor to provide physical resistance to user motion in conjunction with means for sharing exercise system related data and/or user performance data with a secondary user, such as a medical professional, a physical therapist, a trainer, a computer generated competitor, and/or a human competitor. For example, the exercise system is used with a remote trainer to enhance exercise performance, with a remote medical professional for rehabilitation, and/or with a competitor in a competition, such as in a power/weightlifting competition or in a video game. The exercise system is optionally configured with an intelligent software assistant and knowledge navigator functioning as a personal assistant application.
PATIENT BED HAVING ACTIVE MOTION EXERCISE
A patient support apparatus includes a frame. The frame includes a first track and a second track. An articulated deck is coupled to the frame. The articulated deck includes a head section, a seat section, a thigh section, and a foot section. The seat section includes a stationary frame coupled to the frame and a moveable frame that is moveable relative to the stationary frame. The moveable frame includes a first roller that moves along the first track and a second roller that moves along the second track when the moveable frame moves relative to the stationary frame.
MODIFYING OPERATION OF AN EXERCISE MACHINE DURING A CONNECTED FITNESS EXPERIENCE
Systems and methods provide an auto-follow mode of operation during a power zone class or other class/activity that includes segments of prescribed or instructed efforts for users. For example, as a zone changes within an exercise class, an exercise machine streaming the exercise class may automatically adjust its resistance to move the user into the new zone. The systems and methods can respond to or perform actions in response to receiving instructor cue data, such as cue data that is synchronized with a video of an exercise or fitness class.
Method, device, and computer-readable storage medium for arranging exercise intensity
Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method, a device, and a computer-readable storage medium for arranging exercise intensity. The method includes: obtaining a user's personal information and an exercise session, where the exercise session corresponds to an exercise fatigue; and providing a recommended exercise intensity for the exercise session based on at least the personal information and the exercise fatigue.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR USING SMART EXERCISE DEVICES TO PERFORM CARDIOVASCULAR REHABILITATION
A smart exercise device includes a smart mirror configured to present information pertaining to a treatment plan being performed by a user and one or more processing devices configured to receive a plurality of risk factors associated with at least one of a cardiac condition and a cardiac outcome, generate a selected set of the risk factors, determine, based on the selected set of the risk factors, a probability that a cardiac intervention will occur, generate, based on the probability and the selected set of the risk factors, the treatment plan, and, to facilitate conformity with the treatment plan, cause the smart mirror to display a visual cue in response to a deviation of the user from at least one of a desired body posture, a range of motion, a joint or limb angle, and a motion defined by the treatment plan.
Heart rehabilitation support apparatus and heart rehabilitation support method
When controlling load torque of a drive unit on the basis of a biological signal detected from a subject's lower limb parts, adjustments are made to a hybrid ratio of voluntary control to generate running torque and a rotational speed of a crank according to the subject's intention and autonomous control to generate assisting power for the subject's pedaling motion on the basis of a rotation angle of the crank.
APPARATUS, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT FOR PROVIDING TRAINING GUIDANCE
An apparatus, method and computer program product for providing training guidance. The method comprises: acquiring training data that represents power output of a plurality of athletic performances of a user, the training data comprising first training data representing power output of a first athletic performance of a first duration and second training data representing power output of a second athletic performance of a second duration different from the first duration; fitting the training data into a decaying performance power curve representing power output as a function of duration of continuous athletic performance; determining, on the basis of the fitting, a set of training power output zones that conform to the performance power curve by decaying as a function of the duration; generating a training plan for a physical exercise on the basis of the set of training power output zones; and causing a user interface to output the training plan to the user.
Heart rate control device
Provided is a heart-rate control device capable of adjusting the heart rate of a subject to a desired value between a base heart rate and an active heart rate, such as a heart rate immediately after physical exercise. The heart-rate control device includes a detector for detecting heartbeat information of a subject, an input unit to which information on a target value relating to a heart rate of the subject is to be inputted, a difference extracting unit for determining a difference between the target value and a current value relating to the heart rate of the subject, the current value being calculated from the heartbeat information, a pattern generating unit for generating a stimulus pattern depending on the difference so that the current value approaches the target value, the stimulus pattern being a combination of a sympathetic nerve stimulus for stimulating sympathetic nerves, a parasympathetic nerve stimulus for stimulating parasympathetic nerves, and an initialization stimulus for preventing stimulus saturation of the sympathetic nerves or the parasympathetic nerves, and an output unit for outputting the sympathetic nerve stimulus, the parasympathetic nerve stimulus and the initialization stimulus to the subject in accordance with the stimulus pattern.
Systems and methods for using smart exercise devices to perform cardiovascular rehabilitation
A smart exercise device includes an interface comprising a smart mirror configured to present information pertaining to a treatment plan being performed by a user while the user interacts with the smart exercise device. A processing device is configured to cause the smart exercise device to perform one or more functions related to the treatment plan, such as cause one or more preventative actions to be performed based on whether the processing device receives one or more messages, cause one or more content items to be presented to the user on the interface, assign the treatment plan to the smart exercise device based on a determined eligibility of the user, and implement the treatment plan to reduce a probability of a cardiac intervention for the user.
