Crash attenuator
A crash attenuator for decelerating an impacting vehicle includes a first end that can be releasably secured to a vehicle, and a second end that is longitudinally spaced from the first end. The second end includes an impact member that is movable in the longitudinal direction from a pre-impact position to an impact position. At least a pair of spaced deformable attenuator members extend in a longitudinal direction and have a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal ends are staggered downstream from the impact member in the pre-impact position. At least a portion of the deformable attenuator members are bent in a non-outboard direction as the impact member is moved from the pre-impact position to the impact position.
DEVICE FOR TREATING THE HAIR COMPRISING A LATERALLY INSERTING REFILL
The invention relates to a device for treating the hair including a first and a second arm connected together by a joint and able to move with respect to one another between a closed configuration for treating the hair and a spread configuration for engaging between them the hairs to be treated. The device also includes a refill including a body having a housing, a member for applying a cosmetic product received in the housing. The refill includes at least one first mounting means engaging with at least one second mounting means of the first arm, in such a way that the assembly of the first and second mounting means is performed by moving the first mounting means along an axis (Y) substantially parallel to the joint, relative to the second mounting means.
HAIR TREATMENT DEVICE THAT DIFFUSES STEAM ONTO THE HAIR
The invention relates to a hair treatment device (10), comprising at least one steam outlet (30) for emitting steam onto the hair, a system (40) for supplying steam to said at least one steam outlet (30), at least one detector (50) for detecting contact or proximity of the device with or to the hair, a steam control unit (59) configured to authorize the supply of steam, and/or to automatically supply steam to the steam outlet (30), by the steam supply system (40) when at least one predefined condition is met, this condition being a hair contact or proximity condition verified from information generated by the contact or proximity detector (50).
Anchor for center irrigation pivot
An anchoring apparatus for an irrigation system is disclosed. The anchoring apparatus includes a support base for securing to an axle of a support tower of the irrigation system. A threaded sleeve is secured to the support base and holds a shaft. The shaft has a threaded portion and an anchor portion. A motor secured to the support base is configured to rotate the shaft in a first direction about a longitudinal axis of the shaft to move the shaft along the longitudinal axis towards an anchoring position to secure and protect the system against wind and severe weather. The motor is also configured to rotate the shaft in a second direction about the longitudinal axis of the shaft to move the shaft along the longitudinal axis towards a disengaging position to lift the anchor portion of the shaft off of the ground.
Multi-Function Actuator For Adjusting Two Or More Hair Appliance Variables
Exemplary embodiments of hair styling appliances having a multi-function actuator are provided herein. In general, the disclosed embodiments of hair styling appliances may include a multi-function actuator configured for adjusting settings of one or more hair appliance variables. In one embodiment, the multi-function actuator may include at least two separate actuators, which are assembled together on the hair styling appliance to look like one component, yet are configured to be actuated independently of one another. In one embodiment, the multi-function actuator may be ergonomically positioned on the hair styling appliance for easily accessible manipulation and actuation with the user's thumb. In one embodiment, the multi-function actuator may comprise a push button and dial combination. In one embodiment, the push button may be used to select temperature and/or time, and the dial may be used to adjust the temperature and/or time to a desired setting.
Heat Enhanced Hair-Setting Tool
A hair-setting tool for setting hair styles is specifically configured to exhibit an improved hair-setting effect with the aid of heat. The heat-enhanced hair-setting tool of the present invention includes one or more heating components in or on the main body of the hair-setting tool. The heat required for setting hair may be provided by the heating components and/or by heating or re-heating the hair-setting tool to activate the heating components.
HAIR TREATMENT DEVICE
Device (1) for steam treating the hair, in particular a hair brush, having-a treatment plate (2) intended to come into contact with the hair during the treatment,a vaporization chamber (5) supplied with liquid water, where the liquid water is transformed into steam,at least one dispensing chamber (6, 6a, 6b) for dispensing steam onto the hair, which is different to the vaporization chamber and is in fluid communication with the vaporization chamber, and a heating system (3) arranged between the treatment plate and the vaporization chamber and configured to heat the vaporization chamber to a temperature above or equal to the water vaporization temperature and to heat at least a portion of the treatment plate.
METHOD FOR TREATING KERATINOUS FIBERS USING STEAM
Provided is a method for treating keratinous fibers comprising: applying steam to the keratinous fibers at a rate of less than 5 g/min; and shaping the keratinous fibers at a temperature of greater than 50 C., wherein the application of the steam and the shaping of the keratinous fibers do not occur simultaneously. The method disclosed herein may make it possible for example to obtain rapid shaping of the keratinous fibers while improving their cosmetic properties and the comfort of the user.
Hairstyling Apparatus for Forming Curls of Different Sizes
Provided is a hairstyling apparatus (1) for curling and smoothing hair, which includes: first and second elongate jaws (2, 3) which are pivotably movable relative to one another, the first jaw (2) having a first casing (6) supporting a first inner planar treatment surface (4), and the second jaw (3) having a second casing (7) supporting a second inner planar treatment surface (5), the inner surfaces (4, 5) being intended for pinching a lock of hair; and at least one heating element (41, 510) intended for heating at least one inner treatment surface (4, 5).
