HEATED HAIR SETTER APPARATUS AND METHOD
In a hair setter apparatus, a heater assembly is enclosed within a housing. The heater assembly has a longitudinal heat delivery rail mounted in the housing and having a longitudinal axis. The longitudinal heat delivery rail includes a groove extending longitudinally along at least part of the heat delivery rail. A corresponding hair setter has a central body having opposing web plates spaced from each other to define a mounting slot extending longitudinally of the hair setter. The mounting slot is configured to engage the groove of the heat delivery rail upon mounting the hair setter thereon to slidably couple the hair setter to the heat delivery rail for sliding movement longitudinally of heat delivery rail while inhibiting decoupling of the hair setter from the heat delivery rail in a direction transverse to the rail.

Heat-retaining clips for creating textured waves in hair
A heat-retaining clip assembly is provided. The heat-retaining clip assembly includes a convex surface nested in a concave surface in a closed position, wherein the convex and concave surfaces are pivotably connected to move between the closed position and an open position. The convex surface has a higher thermal conductivity than the concave surface. The present invention includes a system providing an arcuate heating element that can be sandwiched between the convex and concave surfaces in the closed position, while the convex surface conducts most of the heat. Then the heat-retaining clip assembly may be moved in the open position from the heating element to a user's hair so that the heat stored in the convex surface transfers to the hair to form textured waves in the hair after the clip is moved back to the closed position.

Heat enhanced hair-setting tool
A hair-setting tool for setting hair styles is specifically configured to exhibit an improved hair-setting effect with the aid of heat. The heat-enhanced hair-setting tool of the present invention includes one or more heating components in or on the main body of the hair-setting tool. The heat required for setting hair may be provided by the heating components and/or by heating or re-heating the hair-setting tool to activate the heating components.
APPARATUS FOR HEATING HAIR ROLLERS
An apparatus for sequentially and individually heating hair rollers incorporates a turn tray having a plurality of receptacles. The turn tray rotates, and if a roller is disposed in the receptacle, the turn tray will stop at a steam stage area where the roller is subjected to heat and steam. After a predetermined of time selected by the operator, e.g., when the hair roller is sufficiently treated with heat and steam, the roller is removed and applied to a length of hair of the operator. The turn tray will then automatically rotate to place the next successive roller within the steam stage area.

HAIR ROLLER SYSTEM WITH BUILT-IN CLAMP AND A ROLLER APPLICATOR
A system for applying one or more rollers to the hair of a person, the system including an applicator handle and rollers. Each roller includes a barrel with an outer cylindrical surface and a clamp pivotable to a closed position adjacent to the barrel surface. When the roller is installed on the applicator handle, the clamp is automatically pivoted away from the barrel and the roller is rotated by a motor built into the handle to allow the roller to wind several hair strands. When the roller is removed from the applicator handle, the clamp returns to the closed position and grasps the hair strands until it is released or opened manually.
