TILED GLOBE ASSEMBLY
A globe can include a plurality of pieces structured to inter-attach to form a surface of the globe, and an attachment system. Each piece can be substantially rigid, and can have an outer major surface shaped to form a portion of the surface of the globe. The plurality of pieces can include a first quantity of substantially identically-shaped polygonal pieces. The attachment system can be configured to attach at least some adjacent edges of the pieces, and can attach at least one edge of each of the pieces to an adjacent edge of another of the pieces. The attachment system can be configured such that the globe has sufficient structural integrity to substantially maintain a globular shape under its own weight. Each of a majority of the pieces can include a printed image on its outer major surface that is different than any printed image of any other piece.
System and method for monitored raffle contests
A raffle contest system that comprises a database, wherein tickets are sold electronically and information about every ticket is stored in said database. Said container is surveilled at all times by a camera, wherein the video-stream provided by the camera is accessible by users at all times and shows every ticket being printed and dropped into the container immediately after purchase. Purchased tickets comprise identification information to ensure authenticity and integrity of the process. Customers can verify the status of the container, their purchased tickets and interact with other customers at all times during the raffle process. Drawings of the winning tickets are also broadcast through the same video-stream to ensure that the container was not tampered with at any time.
PLAYING CARD DEALING SHOE ACTIVATION DEVICE
A system including a deck of playing cards. A randomly generated number is printed on each playing card in the deck. An activation device is also provided, which contains a data file of each randomly generated number of the playing cards in the deck, and the order of each playing card in the deck. A playing card dealing shoe is also provided. The shoe includes a sensor for detecting the randomly generated number on a playing card as the playing card is drawn from the shoe. The shoe is associated with a processor, which is in communication with the sensor and the activation device to receive information therefrom. The processor determines whether a playing card drawn from the shoe is expected based on the information from the sensor and the activation device, and disables the shoe when the drawn playing card is not the expected playing card.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMPOSING PERSONALIZED SCRATCH-OFF LOTTERY TICKETS
An instant lottery ticket game system includes a set of scratch-off lottery ticket blanks, each lottery ticket blank having a front face and a back face and a game play area on the front face with play indicia that presents a pre-determined game outcome, the play indicia covered by a scratch-off coating (SOC). A coating layer is applied over at least the game play area such that an entirety of the front face presents an empty composition area void of lottery ticket indicia. The set of lottery ticket blanks are housed within an automated dispenser. An interface is configured with the dispenser and is in communication with a printer associated with the dispenser and accepts input of composition indicia from a patron for printing on portions of or the entirety of the front face to generate a finished scratch-off lottery ticket prior to dispensing the finished lottery ticket.
CONTAINER FOR CARDS AND METHOD OF PRINTING A GENERALLY CONTINUOUS IMAGE ON A MULTI-SIDED CONTAINER
A container for holding cards includes a base having a bottom wall and a first plurality of side walls extending from the bottom wall, and a lid movable relative to the base between an open position and a closed position. The lid includes a top wall and a second plurality of side walls extending from the top wall. Each of the second plurality of side walls is generally aligned with a corresponding one of the first plurality of side walls when the lid is in the closed position. The container further includes an internal storage volume at least partially defined by the bottom wall, the top wall, and the first and second pluralities of side walls, and a generally continuous image printed on the first and second pluralities of side walls such that portions of the image are substantially aligned at interfaces between adjacent side walls.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GAMIFICATION OF MULTIFUNCTION PERIPHERALS
A system and method for gamification of multifunction peripherals includes a document processing engine for rendering printed output from electronic image files. An intelligent controller of the MFP controls operation of a document processing engine. A sequence of user interactive graphical images of tangible objects is generated on a device touchscreen interface. User touchscreen input responsive to the sequence of graphical images generates a random Omikuji fortune that is displayed to the user on the device touch screen interface. Device control instructions corresponding to user touchscreen input are generated and these instructions control operation of the document processing engine.
Method and apparatus for modifying gaming machines to provide supplemental or modified functionality
A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for transferring credits from one gaming device to another via the use of coded scrip is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of accepting a cash-out command in the gaming device, scanning a magnetically manifested code uniquely identifying a scrip stored in the gaming device, transmitting a cash-out message comprising the code to a remote processor having access to a database configured to store and retrieve codes from a plurality of gaming devices, receiving a scrip dispense message from the remote processor, and dispensing the scrip. The apparatus comprises a scrip storage unit, a scrip dispensing unit having a scrip transducer for reading and recording a magnetically manifested code on a scrip retrieved from the scrip storage unit, and a processor, communicatively coupled to the scrip transducer and a remote computer having access to a database for storing and retrieving code information from the plurality of gaming devices.
