DEVICE FOR DISPLAYING AND PACKAGING HAIRDRESSING INSTRUMENTS
A device for displaying and packaging hairdressing instruments, including a plurality of blow-dry rollers, at least one removable gripping handle to which one of the blow-dry rollers can be attached, and a storage housing. The storage housing includes a receiving compartment dimensioned to receive and contain the plurality of blow-dry rollers, a peripheral wall of the receiving compartment, a bottom wall of the receiving compartment, and a retractable top cover. Stabilizing devices are shaped to each hold one of the blow-dry rollers oriented along a respective substantially vertical axis and separated from the other rollers. An intermediate space contains an ultraviolet radiation source for directing and distributing ultraviolet radiation into the receiving compartment. Magnets are distributed on the inner face of the cover for retaining metal tools. An electrical safety switch actuated by the cover inhibits the supply of power to the ultraviolet radiation source when the cover is not in the closed position.
APPLICATOR FOR APPLYING A HAIR PRODUCT, AND ASSOCIATED APPLICATION METHOD
The applicator for applying a hair product comprises a base (12) and first group of fixed spikes (14) protruding relative to the base. The applicator further comprises a second group of spikes (16) separate from the spikes (14) of the first group and translatably movable relative to the base between at least one extended position protruding relative to said base on the side of the spikes (14) of the first group, and a retracted position.
Mechanized Hair Styling Device and Method
Disclosed is a hair styling apparatus and its employment in specific hairstyling methods. The apparatus is a mechanized, motorized device configured to operate in conjunction with a hairstyling attachment, said device comprising an ordered arrangement of components which, when motorized in a connected manner, cause the meshed rotation of two internal pivot gears, the pivot gears having irregularly-spaced undersurface dock holes connectable to a planar grip housing. The pivot gears induce selectable rotation modes of the planar grip housing; further, the grip housing is capable of securely gripping the attachment. A preferred attachment comprises an elastomeric block having an elliptically-contoured, substantially smooth top surface, and a patterned, sculptured bottom surface constructed with parallel V-shaped channels and a plurality of circular chambers. In this manner, when hair is placed in contact with the motorized device and its attachment, the hair may be styled into a multiplicity of twists or spirals.
Remote access and control of a hair styling device
A hair styling device is described herein that comprises an exposed heating surface, a heating element to heat the exposed heating surface, a temperature sensor to measure a temperature of at least one of the heating element or the exposed heating surface, a heating element interface coupled to the heating element, and a network communication circuit. The hair styling device further comprises a device controller that includes a control circuit to provide a control signal to the heating element interface to modify operation of the heating element according to an instruction received by the network communication circuit over a network from an application. In an embodiment, the device controller further includes a command status monitor to generate a success or fail message, indicative of a success or failure of the instruction in the hair styling device, for transmission by the network communication circuit over the network to the application.
HAIR CLAMP
The present invention is directed to improving the existing process of hair curling or shaping by not using traditional heat to shape the hair and thus allowing a user to avoid heat damage to their hair. The invention comprises a hair clamp and methods of use whereby the user can avoid using heat to obtain a curl, form waves, or define hairstyles. The hair clamp may be concave-shaped or wave-shaped, and may comprise inner layers that are water-resistant or porous. The hair clamp may also comprise holes spaced throughout its outer layer and inner layers.
Device for treating the hair
The invention relates to a device for treating the hair including a housing for receiving a cosmetic product refill, a heating element for the hair to be treated, and a device that prevents the reception of the cosmetic product refill in the housing, depending on the temperature of the heating element.
Hair styling device
A hair styling device and methods are disclosed. The device has a first blade section comprising a first blade section heating element having a first heating element surface. The device has a second blade section rotatably coupled to the first blade section via a pivoting device and configured to rotate about a pivot axis, wherein, the second blade section comprises, a second blade section heating element having a second heating element surface. The pivot axis is not co-planar with the first and second heating element surfaces.
HAIR TREATMENT APPARATUS
A hair treatment apparatus includes a base and a sidewall in direct contact with and extending from the base. The base and sidewall define a cavity configured for receiving a liquid. The hair treatment apparatus further includes a lid coupled to the sidewall opposite to the base, the lid defining an adjustable aperture configured for receiving a portion of hair for treatment in the liquid. The lid includes a first ring, a plurality of plates, and a second ring. The first ring is configured to releasably engage the sidewall and define a central axis. The plurality of plates extend from the first ring toward an aperture, each of the plurality of plates includes a pin. The second ring defines a plurality of slots to receive the pins. Rotation of the second ring causes the plurality of plates to extend toward the longitudinal axis to reduce the diameter of the aperture.
PROCESS FOR CURL-RELAXING AND/OR STRAIGHTENING KERATIN FIBRES, USING REDUCING AGENTS AND POLAR ORGANIC SOLVENTS, AND STRAIGHTENING KIT
The present invention relates to a process for curl-relaxing and/or straightening keratin fibres, such as the hair, which comprises the application to the fibres of one or more compositions comprising reducing agents, one or more compositions comprising organic solvents and a step of heat treatment of the fibres by means of a heating tool.
The invention also relates to the use of the composition(s) comprising reducing agents and of the composition(s) comprising organic solvents in a process for curl-relaxing and/or straightening keratin fibres.
Finally, the invention relates to a multi-compartment device or “kit” that is suitable for performing such a process.
