The apparatuses and systems described herein can be used with different food and beverage products including, but not limited to, frozen carbonated beverages, frozen alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, frozen yogurts, frozen ice creams and other dispensable food and beverage products
FROZEN FOOD PRODUCT DISPENSING MACHINES HAVING REMOVABLE SPIGOTS
A frozen food product dispensing machine includes a housing, a freezer barrel, a cover extending over the opening of the freezer barrel, wherein the cover defines a passage fluidly coupled to a food product volume, a spigot disposed within the passage and translatable along a longitudinal axis between a first position and a second position, the spigot including an actuator interface, and an actuator selectively coupled to the spigot by the actuator interface, wherein the spigot prevents a flow of food product through the passage when in the first position and allows the flow of food product through the passage when in the second position, wherein the actuator is configured to selectively move the spigot between the first position and the second position in response to a user input, and wherein the spigot is configured to be selectively decoupled from the actuator by rotating the spigot about the longitudinal axis.
Machine and method for making liquid or semi-liquid products
A machine for making liquid and semi-liquid products includes a first container and first mixer for processing a basic product and a second container and second mixer for converting the basic product into a desired product. First and second heat exchangers are operatively associated respectively with the first and second containers. First and second drive units respectively drive the first and second mixers. A connecting duct allows transfer of the basic product from the first container to the second container. A separating element is associated with the duct and switchable between a separating configuration in which the transfer of basic product from the first container to the second container through the duct is prevented, and a connecting configuration in which a transfer of basic product from the first container to the second container through the duct is allowed.
MACHINE AND METHOD FOR MAKING LIQUID AND SEMI-LIQUID PRODUCTS OF THE ICE CREAM SECTOR
A machine for making liquid and/or semi-liquid products of the ice cream sector comprises: a processing container forming a processing chamber for making an ice cream product; a stirrer mounted inside the processing chamber; a cooling system equipped with at least one heat exchanger associated with the processing container, for exchanging heat with the container and cooling the processing container; a unit for receiving and treating a capsule containing a basic preparation for an ice cream product, configured to allow the capsule to be compressed in such a way so as to deform lateral walls of the capsule and to squeeze the basic preparation out of the capsule and transfer it to the processing container.
FROZEN DESSERT DISPENSING MACHINE AND CARTRIDGE
A machine for dispensing an individual portion of a frozen dessert may include a cartridge cart having walls forming a cavity having a longitudinal central axis and configured to accommodate a cartridge. The cartridge may include a tube having first and second ends, a nozzle disposed at the first end, and a piston disposed between the nozzle and the second end and configured to slidably move along the tube. The individual portion of the frozen dessert may be contained within the tube between the nozzle and the piston. The machine may also include a plunger, a drive source operably coupled to the plunger and configured to drive the plunger along the central axis, and a support configured to support the first end of the cartridge such that actuating the drive source causes the individual portion of frozen dessert to dispense through the nozzle.
AUTOMATED ADDITIVE ASSEMBLY FOR A MICRO-PUREE MACHINE
An automated additive assembly for a micro-puree machine has a body including a reservoir configured for holding an additive ingredient. A channel is defined through the body, and a passage is in fluid communication with the reservoir and the channel. A plunger is configured for movement within the reservoir. Movement of the plunger within the reservoir in a first direction forces the additive ingredient through the channel such that the additive ingredient is combined with the processed ingredients extruded through the nozzle.
A FILLING HEAD FOR FILLING A CONTAINER WITH FROZEN CONFECTION
A filling head comprising: a housing having a lower nozzle exit, a first material inlet, a second material inlet and a reciprocatable piston movable within the housing; the piston having a) an outer wall and upper and lower ends; b) a first internal material flow channel connecting an entry in the outer wall to an exit in the lower end, c) a second internal material flow channel connecting an entry in the outer wall to an exit in the lower end, and; wherein the exit of the first channel is annular, surrounding the exit of the second material flow channel; the piston, housing and inlets being positioned and dimensioned such that the piston in relation to the housing has: (1) an upper position wherein material flows from both first and second inlets are blocked by the piston outer wall; (2) a mid position wherein the first material inlet is in communication with the first internal material flow channel entry but the second material inlet is blocked by the piston outer wall; (3) a lower position wherein the first material inlet is in communication with the first internal material flow channel entry and the second material inlet is in communication with the second internal material flow channel entry.
A PROCESS FOR FILLING A CONTAINER WITH FROZEN CONFECTION
A process for filling a container with a first frozen confection material encapsulating a second confection material, the process involving the use of a filling head; the filling head comprising: a housing having a nozzle exit, a lower first material inlet, an upper second material inlet and a reciprocatable piston movable within the housing; the piston having an outer wall and upper and lower ends and an internal material flow channel connecting an upper entry in the outer wall to an exit in the lower end, the piston, housing and inlets being positioned and dimensioned such that the piston has: (1) a lower position wherein material flows from both first and second inlets are blocked by the piston outer wall; (2) a mid position wherein the piston does not block the first inlet but the second inlet is blocked by the piston outer wall; (3) an upper position wherein the first inlet is not blocked and wherein 20 the second material inlet is in communication with the internal material flow channel; the process involving allowing frozen confection material to flow out of the nozzle exit into the container as the piston moves in an upstroke from (1) a lower position to (2) a mid position and then to (3) an upper position whereupon the first and second materials are coextruded from the exit nozzle, followed by a downstroke to (2) a mid position whereupon only first material is extruded from the exit nozzle to encapsulate the previously extruded second material, and then to (1) a lower position.
