Mask with filter port
A mask with filter port is configured to cover a wearer's nose and mouth to protect the wearer from airborne microbes in the environment and/or minimize a risk of spreading airborne microbes from the user. The mask with filter port includes a substantially arcuate body wall, a slanted base at a lower end of the wall, an elastomeric seal extending from a face edge of the wall, a filter holder secured to the slanted base, and a pair of securing straps connected to the body wall. The elastomeric seal provides an interface between the body wall and the user's face. The securing straps secure the mask against the user's face, with the elastomeric seal pressing against the user's face.
Fittable facemasks and related methods of manufacture and customization
A facemask is provided that is made from a clear thermoplastic polymer with a sufficiently low glass transition temperature that a customer may engage in post-sale customization of the facemask. The facemask is configured to be heated and then reshaped by the customer, so as to better fit the customer's face. The facemask may include filter cavities or filter adaptors that conveniently hold removable filters. Methods of manufacturing a set of a plurality of facemasks, matching a customer to an appropriately sized facemask, and then enabling the customer to engage in post-sale customization are also provided.
Method of forming composite fibers
A process of forming a fiber comprised of a plurality of bio-char particles, comprising: combining a portion of a polymer with a hemp derivative, said hemp derivative selected form a hemp carbon made by pyrolyzing a quantity of hemp stalk at between 1100-1500 C. to create a char; adding the char to a milling vessel and milling the char for a period of between 1 to 16 hours, and a full spectrum hemp extract, or combinations thereof, wherein the polymer and hemp derivative are extruded to form a fiber.
PROTECTIVE FACE SHIELD ASSEMBLY
A protective face shield assembly is provided. The example protective face shield assembly includes a protective element, a frame, and a face seal. The frame defines a continuous inner frame edge and a continuous outer frame edge. The face seal includes a top portion, a bottom portion, and two side portions as a continuous unit, defining a continuous inner face seal edge and a continuous outer face seal edge. The continuous inner face seal edge is removably affixed against the continuous inner frame edge. The continuous outer face seal edge encapsulates an elastic band that fits against at least a front half portion of the head and face of a user. The face seal contains one or more layers of filter medium suitable for removing particulate matter from the air that flows from exterior air space and into interior air space.
Pleated filtering face piece respirator
A pleated molded filtering face piece respirator to be worn upon the face of a wearer and for providing filtering including at least one layer of moldable flexible plastic material formed from openwork flexible plastic material for providing a plurality of perforations for allowing for the free passage of air through the openwork plastic. A layer of moldable filter material for filtering impurities in the air, the one layer of flexible plastic material formed from openwork flexible plastic material and the layer of filter material for filtering impurities in the air lying one on top of the other to form a moldable multilayer of flexible plastic material and filter material. The moldable multilayer of flexible plastic material and filter material are pleated into pleated material and molded to form the pleated filtering face piece respirator to a desired configuration where the one layer of openwork flexible plastic material forms a support layer to carry the layer of filter material.
Mask structure
The present invention provides a mask structure, which comprises a first mask body, a main filtering layer, an air-isolator, and a second mask body. The main filtering layer is disposed at the first mask body. The area of the main filtering layer is smaller than the area of the first mask body. The air-isolator is disposed at the first mask body and adjacent to the periphery of the main filtering layer. The second mask body covers the main filtering layer and the air-isolator and is bonded with the air-isolator and the first mask body. Thereby, the bonding part of the mask structure can be tight and the filtering materials of the main filtering layer, such as sterilizing or adsorptive materials, will not leak from the bonding part. In addition, the air-isolator can guide the air inside and outside the mask structure to pass only through the main filtering layer for preventing the polluting particles, bacteria, or viruses inside and outside the mask structure from being propagated to the external environment or inhaled by the user.
HEMP-BASED CHAR OR OILS AND POLYMERS FORMED AS FIBERS OR FILMS HAVING ENHANCED PROPERTIES
Mask
A mask is provided. The mask includes an outer cover made of ultra-fine fibers and formed by hot-pressing, and the outer cover has a plurality of through holes for ventilation; a filter configured to filter air and disposed at a side of the outer cover adjacent to a user; and two sealing pads, each attached to a side of the filter adjacent to the user and configured to contact skins at two sides of a nose bridge of the user to seal gaps between the filter and the two sides of the nose bridge of the user.
Personal respiratory protection device
The present invention relates to a personal respiratory protection device, in particular, such a device comprising a respirator body having a periphery, a filter media, forming at least part of the respirator body, and a gasket, the gasket being located at the periphery and extending along at least a portion of its length.
IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO FACE MASKS
Face masks, including filter masks, and methods for their production. The disclosed methods include using an overmoulding step to both form a sealing member and to fix the sealing member to a support frame and a sheet of filtering material.
