PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING SPREAD OF INFECTIOUS DISEASE
Disclosed herein are personal protection equipment systems which provide improved protection from infectious agents, and can be constructed and distributed in high volume during public health crises, such as global pandemics where supplies become limited and bioterrorism events where public panic and uncertainty can provide additional obstacles to conventional protective measures. Methods of implementing protective equipment are also disclosed herein. The protective biohazard equipment disclosed herein can be made in a short amount of time at a low cost using readily available materials.
DOUBLE-PROTECTION MEDICAL MASK, PREFERABLY FOR FILTERING DUST, SMOG, AEROSOL, PATHOGENIC AGENTS, VIRUSES AND THE LIKE
Described is a double-protection medical mask (1, 101), preferably for filtering dust, smog, aerosol, pathogenic agents, viruses and the like, which comprises a portion (2, 102) covering at least of the area of the nose, mouth and chin, provided with filtration means and designed to be hermetically and removably fixed to the face of the user (9) by adhesion means.
Strap-Free Disposable Face Mask
A single-use face mask for protectively covering a user's respiratory breathing openings includes a face-covering material dimensioned to cover the user's breathing openings and extending therefrom to an annular marginal edge portion for positioning over the user's face at positions beyond the breathing openings, an annular strip of medical-grade adhesive on the inner surface positioned at a marginal edge portion near and along the annular edge, the medical-grade adhesive selected to hold the face-covering material in substantially fixed position on the user's face, the adhesive-bearing marginal edge portion being recessed sufficiently from the annular edge of the material to facilitate gripping of the material along the annular edge for conveniently peeling the single-use mask from the user's face.
FACE MASK WITH ADHESIVE ELASTIC TAPE FASTEN
A face mask covering the face of a user has intended purpose of protecting the user's respiratory system. The face mask has ergonomic shaping for a comfortable fit and secure placement. The complete perimeter of the face mask has an adhesive elastic tape that is ergonomically shaped to hold properties and conform to the facial structure of the user. Removal tabs are connected to points of the elastic tape opposing the face mask contact side. The adhesive elastic tape is bordering the face mask on the area of the face mask, where there is contact to the user's facial skin. The shaping of the adhesive elastic tape conforms with the face mask's configuration, providing sufficient material overlap for bonding. Furthermore, the shape of the adhesive elastic tape has a thickness to maintain a tight grip and secure placement on the user's face with ergonomic fit attributes of facial structure.
Retaining ring for respiratory face masks
A continuous elongated ring configured to engage a filtration textile to a nose-mouth perimeter of a user, said continuous elongated ring including an upper curvilinear portion adapted to engage said filtration textile disposed about a nasal periphery of the user; said upper curvilinear portion including a pair of attachment features adapted to fastenly receive an upper support strap configured to engage the user's head, and a lower curvilinear portion adapted to engage said filtration textile disposed about a mouth periphery of the user, the lower curvilinear portion including a pair of attachment features adapted to fastenly receive a lower support strap configured to engage the user's head.
Transparent flexible self-attaching face mask
A reusable transparent flexible silicone mask has a border coated with hydrogel or non-toxic emulsion adhesive that adheres directly to a wearer's face by hydrogel emulsion adhesion, without ear elastics or ties around the back of the head. The mask protects against breathing pathogens. The mask has a half-face version that covers the wearer's nose and mouth, a goggles version, and a full-face version. The mask may include one or more of a removable air filter cartridge, a breathing valve, a headlamp, a glasses gate, and a headband for keeping the mask on the wearer's body even when the mask is not affixed to the face.
MULTIPLE USE FACE SEAL MASK
A facial mask completely seals a part of the face over which the facial mask is secured by an adhesive around a periphery of the facial mask. The facial mask may cover the mouth or both the mouth and nose of a user. The facial mask may have a filter.
Filtering face mask and respirator
A filtration mask protects the wearer against airborne hazards. The mask is reusable and may be used in a number of configurations. The mask includes filters located to the side and beneath the line of sight of the wearer. The filters may be tailored to the use and type of environmental hazard.
RESPIRATOR MASK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING
A mask that completely seals to the face of the wearer includes a filter material having a shape and size selected to cover a mouth and nose of the wearer. The mask also includes an adhesive ring disposed on one surface of the filter material at or near a circumferential edge of the filter material, the adhesive ring forming a closed loop around the circumferential edge of the filter material, the adhesive ring configured to removably adhere to a face of the wearer.
DETACHABLE CAPTURE DEVICE FOR BIOMATERIALS
A detachable capture device for biomaterials may include a capture unit and an attachment unit. The capture unit may have a certain area to be attached biomaterials that causes respiratory diseases thereon, and the attachment unit may be detachably attached to an inner surface of the mask or an outer surface of the mask to fix the capture unit to the mask.
