Protective face covering
Disclosed herein are facial covering that are configured to be placed on facial skin and that may be placed on the skin in a sealed relationship such that air leakage is minimized. The covering may include a member configured to fit flush against skin surrounding at least one of nasal air passages and a mouth of a user, the member including at least one aperture to permit breathing through the nasal air passages, the member being configured to adhere to the skin; and filter material positioned within a space defined by the at least one aperture.
FACIAL MASK MOUNTING LOOP AND STRAPLESS FACE MASK
A facial mask mounting loop includes a loop body forming a closed loop of material. The loop body includes a mask adhesive on a mask side configured to adhere to a facial mask, and a facial adhesive configured to adhere to a user's face on a skin side that opposes the mask side. The loop body also includes a chin portion configured to attach under a chin of the user's face using the facial adhesive, a bridge portion configured to attach over a bridge of a nose of the user's face using the facial adhesive, and a pair of expandable cheek portions each extending between the chin and bridge portions and configured to attach over a cheek of the user's face using the facial adhesive. The expandable cheek portions expand and contract in response to facial movements of the user.
MASK WITH ANTI-FOGGING CONSTRUCTION
An anti-fogging face mask can include a main body, a formable seal, and baffles. The main body may include a panel sized for coverage of mouth and nostrils in a donned position of the face mask. The formable seal member may be disposed along an upper portion of the main body and arranged for obstructing vapor flow from the mouth or nostrils to eyewear when the eyewear is positioned over the face mask in the donned position. A first baffle may be extending rearwardly and upwardly away from the formable seal. A second baffle may be positioned below the first baffle and extending rearwardly and upwardly away from the formable seal. A third baffle may be positioned below the second baffle and extending rearwardly and downwardly away from the formable seal.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND METHODS
Improved personal protective equipment facial wear including, in one embodiment, an at least partly adhesive mask, and one or more adhesive eye shields. In one implementation, the mask avoids significant contact with the delicate periorbital skin of the wearer, yet provides a substantially airtight seal so as to preclude moisture vapor transfer and “fogging” of eyeware or instruments. In another implementation, adherence of the eye shield is at least partially overlapping with the mask and creates an at least partial seal around a perimeter of the eye shield. Further, an at least partial seal is formed around a perimeter of the mask. The mask and eye shield additionally prevent nasal air flow obstruction, and address the problem of skin irritation and attachment during normal facial expression and movement of the wearer.
External Brace for Enhancing Fit and Filtration Efficacy of Face Masks
A frame is configured to improve the seal of a face mask worn on the face of a human. The frame generally includes one or more flexible pieces that conform to the human wearer's face. The frame compresses the face mask against the face of the human wearer. In some embodiments, the frame includes a nose section that conforms to the human's nose, a pair of cheek sections each extending laterally away from the nose section and across the human's cheek bones and downward toward the human's mandible, a plurality of strap anchors on the cheek sections, and one or more straps connected to the strap anchors on the cheek sections. The frame may also include a chin section that is unitary with the cheek sections, or a separate chin strap that is connected to the cheek sections with elastomeric bands.
HYGIENE MASK WITH SEAL FORMING STRUCTURE
A mask for use at an operating pressure substantially equal to atmospheric pressure includes a body with a three-dimensional shaped chamber that is configured to receive a user's mouth and nares and operate at the operating pressure. The mask also includes a nose portion having an uppermost portion sized to avoid contact with the user's nasal ridge and to contact the user's nose along the user's sagittal plane and around at least a portion of the user's nares on an inferior side of the user's nose inferior to the user's nasal ridge. The nose portion is constructed from an at least partially impermeable material to limit airflow toward the user's eyes in use. The mask also includes a positioning and stabilising structure to provide a force to hold the seal forming structure in position against the user.
Face Shield and Method of Use
An apparatus and method for use of an improved face shield assembly which prevents foreign materials or contaminants from vertically migrating from the above a wearer's head to the area around a wearer's face, eyes, nose and mouth.
Strapless Face Mask
A strapless face mask device comprised of a hollow plastic frame that is covered by a sleeve or protective covering. The body sleeve or covering protects the face, nose, mouth and chin area of the wearer such that any respiratory droplets from the wearer are prevented from entering into the surrounding environment and potentially infecting other individuals. Further, the personal protection device has at least one and preferably two tightening mechanisms that allow a wearer to tighten or loosen the seal that the frame makes with their face. Each tightening mechanism may receive a cable that runs within the hollow frame via a spool within each mechanism. When each spool is rotated, the cable upon each spool is tightened or loosened which in turn increases or decreases the convex angle of the frame to tighten or loosen the seal of the frame against the face of the wearer.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION DEVICE AND PROCESSES FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
The present disclosure provides a respiratory protection device made of soft material comprising folds in zig-zag pattern on the main body and may be adhered to wearer's face by adhesives instead of straps. The respiratory protection device with folds is expandable from flat-fold configuration to open ready-to-use configuration, collapsible from the open ready-to-use configuration to the flat-fold configuration, and flexible to keep adhered to wearer's face when the respiratory protection device is dragged in conjunction with the movement of the wearer's face. The folding structures not only reduce the storage volume but also support the main body of the respiratory protection device to provide large air chamber for breathing comfortably in a completely sealed space. The present disclosure also provides a process of manufacturing the respiratory protection device by folding and fixing barrier layers and applying adhesives on the barrier layers.
