CLOSURE DEVICE
A closure device for closing and locking a restraint system in two positions comprises a locking device having a first connecting member, a second connecting member, and a blocking device.
RATCHETING STRAP ADJUSTER
A method of assembling a ratcheting strap adjuster comprises inserting a distal end of a rotation assembly through first and second apertures in respective first and second side plates of a frame, with a proximal end of the rotation assembly positioned proximate the first side plate and the distal end positioned proximate the second side plate. A captive member is movably connected to the second side plate proximate the distal end, wherein the captive member is movable between an engaging position and a releasing position, and wherein an engaging portion of the captive member is configured and arranged to selectively engage the distal end of the rotation assembly in the engaging position.
WEB ADJUSTER
Web adjusters and other web connecting devices for use with restraint systems are described herein. In some embodiments, web adjusters, such as tilt-lock web adjusters, can include web gripping features on an edge portion of a web aperture to prevent a web that is joined to the web adjuster from sliding or otherwise moving to one side of the web aperture or the other when the web is pulled in a direction that is not perpendicular to the edge. In some embodiments, the web gripping features can include alternating recessed and raised edge portions.
Buckle and pet restraint device containing the same
A buckle and a pet restraint device, wherein the buckle includes a male buckle portion and a female buckle portion, wherein the male buckle portion has a first through hole and a second through hole through which the webbing passes, the female buckle portion has a third through hole through which the webbing passes, and the inner walls of the first through hole and the second through hole are spaced with a plurality of anti-skid ribs; anti-skid stripes are arranged around the first through hole and the second through hole. The buckle can effectively prevent the webbing on the buckle from lateral deflection or slipping, so that the webbing can always fit on the pet's body, avoiding safety problems caused by the looseness of the webbing or scratching of the pet's skin caused by the overturning of the webbing due to the lateral deflection.
TRAVEL PILLOW ASSEMBLY
A travel pillow assembly can include a belt assembly, a neck pillow, and first and second suspension member assemblies. The belt assembly can include a first elongate member and a first buckle member. The belt assembly is operable to fixedly and releasibly surround a plurality of perimeters of different size. The neck pillow can extend a pillow length from a first end, through a midpoint position, and to a second end. The first and second suspension member assemblies can each be operatively connected to the first elongate member and extend a respective suspension member length. Each can releasibly form a pillow engagement loop to encircle the neck pillow and can have a second buckle member to maintain the suspension member in a plurality of orientations, a distance between the second buckle member and the pillow engagement loop being adjustable.
Closure Device
A closure device for releasably connecting two parts with each other includes a first closure member having a rigid first locking protrusion and a second closure member which is attachable to the first closure member and in a closed position is held on the first closure member. The second closure member has a rigid second locking protrusion. The second locking protrusion can be brought into engagement with the first locking protrusion in an engagement direction and in the closed position engages the first locking protrusion in a positive locking manner. The first closure member includes a first magnetic member and the second closure member includes a second magnetic member, the first magnetic member and the second magnetic member being constituted to magnetically attract each other when the second closure member is attached to the first closure member for closing the closure device.
Safety belt device in a motor vehicle
A belt fitting for a safety belt device in a motor vehicle, the fitting having a base portion and an adjoining insertion tongue, in which base portion a belt eye is provided, through which a belt strap is guided and which subdivides the belt strap into a shoulder belt portion and a lap belt portion when the belt is fastened, and additionally having a clamping element that is freely movable between a release position, in which the belt strap is run freely movably through the belt eye, and a clamping position in which the belt strap is clamped tightly with a clamping force between the clamping element and a clamping stop. According to the invention, the clamping element and/or the clamping stop has a clamping contour, with which the belt strap can be clamped tightly in the clamping position over a belt strap width in a non-linear and/or uneven clamping force distribution.
LATCH PLATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A LATCH PLATE
In a locking tongue (10) for a seat belt comprising an inserting portion (12) adapted to be inserted into a best buckle and a deflecting portion (14) for webbing (16), wherein the deflecting portion (14) includes a webbing passage (20) and a clamping element (22) for the webbing (16) and wherein the clamping element (22) is displaceable between a home position in which the webbing (16) is freely movable and a blocking position in which the clamping element (22) is displaced against a wall (36) of the webbing passage (20) so that the webbing (16) is clamped between the clamping element (22) and the wall (36) of the webbing passage (20), the clamping element (22) including a clamping surface (24) which in the blocking position clamps the webbing (16) against the wall (36) of the webbing passage (20), it is provided that the clamping element (22) is guided along a curved guide path (40) extending in the area of the blocking position substantially perpendicularly to the wall (36) so that in the blocking position the clamping element (22) is moved against the wall (36) substantially perpendicularly with the clamping surface (24). In accordance with the invention, furthermore a method of manufacturing said locking tongue (10) is provided comprising the following features of: providing a deflecting portion (14), positioning the clamping element (22) on the deflecting portion (4), and partly surrounding the deflecting portion (14) and the clamping element (22) by injection-molding, wherein the clamping element (22) is fixed to the deflecting portion (14).
Belt fitting for a safety belt device
A belt fitting for a safety belt device, having a base section and a latch plate projecting from same. The base section has a belt eyelet with a belt strap running surface, which is in sliding contact with a belt strap guided through the belt eyelet when the safety belt is being worn, wherein, in the transverse direction of the belt strap, the belt strap running surface transitions on both sides at lateral corner regions into a belt eyelet edge opposite the belt strap running surface. The belt strap running surface has a surface contour which provides stable transverse guidance of the belt strap in the belt eyelet under loading conditions, which counteracts a transverse load component acting on the belt strap. A displacement body is formed on the belt eyelet edge-opposite the belt strap running surface, which reduces a gap width of the belt eyelet.
