The attachment can also include a cover coupled to the nozzle such that the cover and nozzle together define a secondary air flow path between a second air inlet and a second air outlet. The attachment can further include a hollow cylindrical barrel coupled to the nozzle and positioned to receive air flowing out of the first air outlet circumferentially there around. The hollow cylindrical barrel can be configured to direct the first air flow path around at least a portion of the outer circumference of the hollow cylindrical barrel.

In general, a hair care attachment in an exemplary embodiment is in the form of a brush accessory that has a hollow body having first and second region, an attachment collar at a first end of the hollow body and having an inlet for receiving airflow, a plurality of bristles positioned along the first region of the hollow body, a plurality of outlet openings positioned along the first region of the hollow body adjacent the plurality of bristles, and a heater assembly positioned along the second region of the hollow body.

Nozzle

A nozzle for attachment to a hair dryer includes a body and an airflow guiding member. The body has an internal surface which defines an airflow duct which extends from an air inlet end for receiving an airflow to a slot-shaped air outlet end of the body. The internal surface has opposing first surface sections which taper inwardly towards the air outlet end, and opposing second surface sections which taper outwardly towards the air outlet end. The airflow guiding member guides a first portion of a received airflow towards one of the second surface sections, and a second portion of the received airflow towards the other of the second surface sections.

A hairdryer including: a handle; a body comprising a duct extending within the body; a fluid flow path extending through the duct from a fluid inlet through which a fluid flow enters the hairdryer to a fluid outlet for emitting the fluid flow from a front end of the body; a primary fluid flow path extending at least partially through the body from a primary fluid inlet through which a primary fluid flow enters the hairdryer to an annular primary fluid outlet at a front end of the body; a fan unit for drawing the primary fluid flow through the primary fluid inlet; and an attachment for adjusting at least one parameter of fluid emitted from the hairdryer, the attachment being attachable to the hairdryer so that the attachment protrudes from the front end of the body, wherein the attachment is configured to inhibit the generation of the fluid flow.

A rotational engagement of the first component to the blow dryer allows for rotation of the exit aperture around the axis of the blow dryer barrel for additional adjustment of the angle and direction or vector angle of the exiting airstream from the attachment.

The second wall may have a second indexed position defining a second slot position. An indexed position may be defined by a detent mechanism.
